"The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" - LG Optimus 4X HD

When I insert my other sim card to my o4x, it always shows that error and will have no signal. After 10 seconds, it will have a signal and will show that error again. Is it the sim card the problem? The error wont show when I insert other sim card. That sim card works on other phones.

Clear data and cache in phone and maybe even contacts under all apps
Sent from my Jellybean Xperia S

Already did it but same results sir.

I had the same problem, you have to factory reset.
Edit: By flashing older firmware version.

This happens to me when I flash Hong Kong FW, only factory reset solves it. make sure you backup internal phone memory pics music...etc.
Than go to airplane mode open dialer type 3845#*880# chose factory reset and there you go :good:

May I know how to flash it to the old firmware sir? Didn't worked in factory reset.

[Q] Invalid SIM card error/SIM network unlock PIN request on boot I9305

Okay, I posted this question in the I9300 Q&A section by accident (was a bit distraught, didn't read the section title properly), but for some reason a mod appears to have deleted the thread instead of moving it, so here it is again in the correct section.
So after using my I9305 for about 8-9 months now, I woke up this morning to find my phone nonoperational. The phone requests on boot a "SIM network unlock PIN". If this window is dismissed, the pulldown notifications drawer states "Invalid SIM card" with subtitle "Network locked SIM card inserted". Quick Googling reveals that these notifications and errors typically show that a phone is locked to a specific carrier. Now that's understandable, but this phone is unlocked, and I hadn't even taken the SIM card out until this error occurred. The SIM card works just fine in another phone.
I've tried rebooting the phone (first port of call), and using the code *#197328640# in the dialer to SIM unlock as per this post (but I didn't have "[4] NW LOCK NV Data INNITIALLIZ" as an option). I tried using "busybox chown 1001:1001 /efs/nv_data.bin" in terminal emulator as root, after seeing this post, but it came with an error of "chown: /efs/nv_data.bin: NO such file or directory". So... how bad do things look? And no... I don't have a backup of my efs. =[

Since then, I also tried *#06# in the dialer, and my IMEI is intact.

Maybe try flash a stock pre-rooted rom by lriquidperfection with odin and try the *# again?
Tried various different stock ROMs and factory resets, nothing.
You need to flash a 4.1.1 ROM, or at least a modem from such a ROM.

Tried flashing several 4.1.1 stock ROMs, no luck either.

Not sure why doing anything with the battery would be in any way related with the SIM. I also forgot to mention that I had already tried cleaning the SIM card at the start with alcohol. In any case, the SIM card works fine in another phone, so it appears that there isn't problem with the SIM card. In any case, I managed to RMA the phone, now the long wait to get it back...

Got my phone back from the shop today. Kept an eye on the shipping tracking when I sent it out, and they sent it back out half a day after they took delivery, so I'm guessing they used a SIM unlock code since it's definitely my phone that I got back. Didn't have to pay anything, so I'm happy. Still not sure why/how the phone decided to lock itself though...

No service, no imei, no baseband after rebooting

I just got an old htc ph39100 and it met some troubles like this. After rebooting, it usually lost imei and baseband so my phone has no service. But if I try to reboot many times, finally it has service and Imei and baseband too. But if I turn off or restart my device, it has same troubles again.
I tried to flash RUU file to come back stock rom but it doesn't solve the problem
So anyone can help me to fix this?

Check your Sim card slot... Make sure your card fits tight... Maybe push down on the metal that the Sim card rides in

I checked a lot of times but no luck. I just wondering if it's sim card slot problem, so why my device doesn't recognize IMEI, baseband? After many many times try to reboot, some how it have service again and IMEI and baseband appear. But all of them were lost after rebooting.

SIM stands for Subscriber Identity Module....
If the information you are talking about is missing... Its usually because the gold contact on the card isn't making a connections to the gold pins in your phone... Especially when its intermittent...
Try this...
Take the back cover off the phone with the power off... Push down LIGHTLY on your SIM slot and hold it... Then push power... If the slot is under the battery... Try a little shim under the battery on top of the SIM slot... We are just trying to push down on the card a little...

BQL1 New verizon firmware update

I just updated to the new BQL1 firmware and now my sim card is saying it is not registered on the network. I replaced the sim card and it was working until my battery died. I charged phone and turned it on and now sim card not registered on network again. I have reset network settings and toggled everything I know how to try to get it to work but nothing helps. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Sim was working fine on bqk5 firmware. Thanks.

I upgraded from G950USQU1AQG4 to G950USQS2BQL1 today and had the same issue. Even factory reset didn't work. Bootloader changed from 1 to 2 so going back wasn't an option for me. Registering a new sim card was the only option for me. I only tried a new sim card because the vzw site gave me this message while trying to re-activate the one i had been using:
HTML_COTENT_NOT_FOUND_FOR_CONTENT_KEY: devicechange_sim_aging_message
Glad i wasn't the only one who wasted a day with this crp.
Can we upgrade BQk1 to oreo?

I'd updated to Oreo from BQL1 and am trying to Odin back, but it keeps failing. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm using the 3.12.7 odin.
Thanks!
All good. Re-installed the samsung drivers and everything worked perfectly.

Try using Odin3 v3.12 PrinceComsy to roll back to GS950USQU2BQK5.
Also, did you activate the new sim card on the vz website first?
I'm pretty sure this is what I did...
Factory reset, shutdown, remove the old sim, activated the new sim online, insert the new sim into the s8, turn on the phone.

Few days back, I was just messing with my phone settings and. I went to dialer and typed #*#*4636#*#* and without knowing what SMSC number is, I changed it to my phone number and since then my sim card isn't working?.
I did factory reset from TWRP and flashed the Stock 6.0 but still Sim card is not detected.
I tried updating to default but getting update error. Even tried resetting it from a Non-Android phone but didn't work.

No SIM After Update

My wife and I have identical OP3T phones, and both performed the most recent update to A3000_28_181206. Both are factory stock, not rooted. After the update, her phone will not recognize the SIM, mine is fine. I swapped our SIM cards, and her card is good in my phone, my card was not seen in her phone, so the issue is with her phone.
I've tried reboots, inserting SIM card while on and while off.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I'll suggest try resetting the network settings, this option is just below factory data reset. And if nothing works out you can always reset the phone completely.
Problem was caused by a corrupt update.
Network refresh didn't work, nor did the factory data reset.
I downloaded the image file and restored from recovery, as the restore from the update application failed as well.
All is well now.
