I have now tried Chrome, Firefox, Dophin, Opera and stock browser. They're all quite nice (except stock), and speed-wise it's no big difference. So try them all and choose the one you like best.
I like chrome because of it's smoothness and ease of tab switching. UI is better in chrome than dolphin in my opinion.
Dolphin with Jetpack plugin
Nothing works better than dolphin with dolphin jet pack

The stock android browser is by far the best on my.smothest and fastest. i discussed it with some phone riviewers, and they didnt anderstand why the nexus 4 comes with chrome as stock browser when the stock android browser is just faster overall.. offcorse this is what i have found out. you may have other opinions
Try boat browser.

I'm using Naked Browser. Simplistic philosophy, and so intuitive, like swipe from edge or quick tap on open tab to close it, not to mention that this is lightest browser for CPU-GPU
Thank u all,
Dolphin is FLASH GORDON! with jetpack
See this xda discussion about how browsers like Dolphin, Boat, Ninesky, and others spy on you, violating your privacy and wasting your battery power, bandwidth, and CPU. The thread is very long and at one point Dolphin removed the tracking but it now tracks again.
I made Naked Browser in response to all of this crap. No spying or monitoring of any kind, fast, and full-featured. This is a not for profit app that's free in the Google Play Store. The xda discussion about it is here.

IE is way to slow for me and is unusable imo.
Chrome is what i always use and currently use but its been on a crash course lately. and wont open up some website.
Mozilla is not bad, but haven't used it in a while
I want to know about Browsers that maybe i haven't heard of but are just as good. I know of Opera browser and used it once back in that day. are there any other ones out their you guys wanna chime in on.

I know it's the wrong answer, but I use Firefox, with a whole bunch of add-ons too.
Works well for me. I also have Chromium, but rarely use it.

There's no wrong answer at all here, i want to know your guys full opinion on what to use. I like appearance just as much as ability to get what i need done. Opera seems out the picture for me already, it can't even load twitter.com correctly.
I used to be a Firefox user but switched to Chrome a little while ago...
Definitely no going back now. FF is a resource hog...
I use Chrome on everything. But I use Firefox to download large files because Chrome likes to randomly cancel them when I'm downloading them.
Chrome!

Exactly the same here. Longtime FF user, until a friend suggested I try Chrome for a week. It took a day or two to get used to, but I wont go back!
Chrome is just too minimal for me. It only fits so many bookmarks in the toolbar, I can't seem to find an equivalent to the Foxtab addon to hide my tab bar and switch tabs with a shortcut button, etc etc. I have 4 or 5 FF add-ons that I just can't live without.
I tried with Chrome, there just doesn't seem to be any way to make it how I want it to be.
FF definitely is a resource hog, but that's not a huge deal to me. I'm not usually one to have more than 3 or 4 tabs open at a time anyways, so it never comes close to bogging down even my old Dell Dimension.
I don't mind using more of my computer's resources for the sake of convenience, ease of use, and appearance, but I can appreciate that others want a fast, light weight browser with a clean appearance that simply does its job and does it well. Chrome definitely is that.
I used firefox for a few years and then i switched to chrome because of its simplicity and speed
Safari on Mac and Chrome or Opera (For the gestures and sync) on PC. IE SUCKS!
Internet Explorer
Chrome
RcMix 3D Darkside Glacier HD
Tdj's Demonspeed v7 Kernel
Virtuous OC Damean
ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.0.2.0
Mostly chrome but sametimes i have to change to firefox
Or opera.

Im trying to find out if there is a browser that can compare with the stock browser in terms of speed. Ive found the stock browser to be lightning quick but it has two problems: it doesnt seem to resize text to fit the screen when you zoom and access to bookmarks is at the top of the screen (big deal for me considering the sizs of the note's screen). I used to use dolphin hd because i loved the quick access to my bookmarks, but there is a noticable lag when scrolling and resizing pages. Does anyone have any suggestions for a browser with the lightning speed but better browser access?

Opera mobile, for everything mobile.

A damn proud Galaxy Note owner.
I might be being too picky, but even opera has a slight lag in scrolling compared to stock.

Try Dolphin browser HD..
https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser&hl=en
I tried dolphin hd and it just lags too much when scrolling. I think im going to use opera as was suggested. It seems to move the fastest and allows you to get to bookmarks quickly.

Boat Browser and Opera Mobile
Stock browser, its the only one that runs on HW accel, best for battery life and performance. Other browsers only offer better functionality at the cost of battery life.
Dolphin HD is the best in speed, battery and marks
Netfront life is very fast and not draining battery as opera or dolphin does.
I keep swapping between boat browser and stock browser.
I think I may just swap back to stock....

personally i use dophin browser hd
Im using opera and it works really well for general surfing. Resizes text right and has a setting for useragent in the menu.
But it has trouble with flash games on mine, mainly games on facebook which are quite large. the stock browser used to play them really well but i cant even get that to work anymore it just locks up when its trying to load the start page.
Try boat browser
Opera Mobile for me. It makes web browsing 10X better than any other browser I've tried, and I've tried a lot. It's just soooo good with text reflow and centering when zooming! With opera I can effortlessly browse the web, but with all other browsers I have to constantly adjust the screen to have the text readable and all in the right place.
Boat browser

Sometimes I dont know why people say Opera is fast, all of my experience in Opera was quite slow, even stock browser feel faster. Tested this on my htc legend, sgs2 and note. Maybe its just me .
By far I found dophin HD the best for me. Function wise and speed wise.

How come the Google sites and many other pages look so UGLY in Opera browsers? I can't believe why so many users are still using it. They look torn down version of the sites in other browsers, such as the stock browser, Dolphin and UC.
Google designs their stuff to only look good in chrome so they can spy more on your browsing when you use it.

NO, these sites look as good in Dolphin browser, UC browser etc, which are not Google browser.
totally agree! Google sites look terrible in Opera
plus i have this strange problem with the stock Browser... whenever i try to save an image it force closes
So I own the nexus 7 for 3 days now and I love it. But I've never been a fan of the chrome browser cause I think its too inconsistent for me. So I tried many different browser:
Mozilla: OK but sometimes not fluid
Maxton: nice and fluid with ability to support flash but sometimes not responsive
Chrome: default browser, fairly fast rendering but can stutter from time to time.
So I've been trying Dolphin browser since yesterday and I love the experience. Easy access to bookmarks, fast rendering, fluid with little to no lag, just an all around solid browser that I would recommend to anyone. What about you guys, which browser do you use and which one would you recommend?

I like opera a lot. But that was when using my galaxy s2. Now that u just got a nexus 7, I think I'll try dolphin on it. I never really liked dolphin on the s2,but maybe a tablet will be better.

I personally like Chrome with this: http://droidnerds.com/content/how-to-permanently-have-desktop-mode-on-chrome-mobile-for-android/
But of course that is just my opinion.
Boat browser is my favorite with Dolphin browser not far behind. Both support flash and they offer all the options you could even need. Performance is top notch too!

I'm in the same boat as you, I use Dolphin on the Nexus due to Chrome stuttering on some sites, and the Lastpass integration is nice too. But Dolphin sometimes just closes and disappears for no reason which I haven't been able to figure out. No force close message or anything.
I like dolphin as well. The fullscreen mode is great. But I use FF Beta for flash videos.
I've heard good things about Boat Browser as well.

+1 ... Love the Full screen mode.
chrome drives me nuts with the zoom box whenever I try to click a small link, and firefox seems to constantly follow the wrong link, and doesn't allow you to correct and redirect even though it's highlighted the correct link after the fact. I also don't like how firefox reloads when you click "back" rather than loading a cache. Guess I'm going to have to try dolphin, but FML how hard can it be to get an awesome browser from google of all companies...

I totally understand what you're saying. I'm coming from an iPad 3, which is honestly a great tablet despite apple being a bunch of douchebags lol, and safari works flawlessly. ..I mean FLAWLESSLY it is incredibly smooth and fast. If Google could do the same with chrome that would be much appreciated. But in the mean time Dolphin is very good.

I actually really like that feature, but I don't use chrome because it's sluggish on heavy pages.
I'm bouncing back and forth between Chrome, Boat and Dolphin with no clear winner yet.

I guess whatever the latest version is. I didn't have any problem downloading it. After a couple days of use and trying other browsers, Dolphin is hands down the best browser for the N7 in my opinion.

Dolphin and Boat are browsers, they are just browser skins on the stock browser.
Only Opera Mobile, Chrome and Firefox offer TRUE browsers.
Out of these, Opera Mobile wins by a mile, it's twice as fast as all the others, and it's rendering seems to be more how the page should look when viewed on a tablet.
ICS Browser+
What about ICS Browser+ ? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.browserplus (i don't know if it's posible to install on Nexus 7)
I used it on my Iconia Tab A500 (I'm waiting for my new Nexus 7 now) instead of stock browser.. It look like stock browser, but it's a bit faster and better.

hey guys,
im on the lookout for a nice browser
which one you like most ? i personally like the stock one in tablet mode, but it fails to load some webpages properly ... havent found anything with good functionality/speed/smoothness compromise yet. chrome is nice, but it needs soooo much ram, cant even have 3 tabs open without having to reload them after switching.. awful.
i was hoping ucbrowser would answer my call, but something peculiar happened, i tried the tablet version first, just out of curiosity and it worked great, fast quite smooth with occasional hiccups. but the phone version was just horrible, lagged like i was running it on a single core 600mhz cpu. just pathetic... anyone know what the deal is with that ?
cheers
Naked browser
dolphin but now has some bugs, Opera......
the hemelywo
Chrome or Opera mini
Im using chrome, just becouse its syncing with my pc, but to be honest, the stock browser is my second best one!

thanks, ill try the naked browser
i didnt like to browse forums with chrome, the text is uneven, eg posts are displayed in a much larger font than the quotes in the same posts, so constant zooming is needed if you want to read the quote. bs..
browser
Chrome and Opera
I'am using this amazing browser named Puffin Browser and it's blowing my mind atm with its lightning speed!
I use "Lightning Browser"! It's just incredibly more fast than Chrome and than all browsers i used
I like AOSP/CM stock browser on kitkat. Puffin is fast indeed but that's it. I also use Opera mini for its great rss support.
