NOTES
CWM CAN'T be flashed in any way since the bootloader is locked. We have to wait for sources before we can do something about that.
More countries should release ICS for P970 in due time. Official is not a synonym for final or bugless.
The repacks now use the new source from V30B so it's should make a difference if your using that or this anymore.
If your having trouble read this
It can be rooted using UnlockRoot.
There is no widgets included since there is limited space on the system partition. (You can just download them anyway so it's not a biggy)
Blue LED is unused. It's not a bug it's a design choice. Just because something doesn't work like you want it to work doesn't make it a bug. (It's possible to revert to the way it was in GB though custom kernels now - repack only)
When the notification bar doesn't work ( You can't pull it down ) just do a factory reset.
I had SD umount twize to date and before the unmount there was quite a few other problems aswel. (LED went on, but no screen. LED didn't timeout if they were on, after a few moments screen went on with SD Unmounted). What caused this is a mystery still, but I would recommend formatting SD card if this happens to you.
Smart Tips (basic usage tips not included - use common sense for those)
If you are getting lots of wakeups from com.android. Check here. This won't affect everyone, it's operator specific.
Chrome also causes wakeups, different reason still doesn't affect everyone. I'll add more info later.
Change your process governor to what suites you ( It's a speed battery tradeoff mostly, but a good governor can make a big difference)
Change your io scheduler. (Doesn't make as big a difference, but it's there. In schedulers simpler is usually better)
Leave your system partition alone unless necessary. It will cause fragmentation as it's nearly full as it is.
But the first thing we have to check is whether it still have that crc check while it boots into recovery!!

It should still have locked bootloader. We can check if Lg removed it, but I don't think they would.

You can flash it on any P970. It's just so that we can have CWM and custom kernel.

Seems that way, my phone started up with V30B in English.
Alright, here we go!
France V30B on SGp970
have not tested out in full as i'm still charging battery. Will attempt to root now
Rooting seems to work now.

Yes, I think the ROM is only English and Chinese. It's not my WORK. I just translated it from another forum.

The link I have posted above shows you how to have CWM installed. It is already a step by step. Where which step you were stuck ? Make sure you download the right file to match your kernel

Xperia V - "STAMINA mode" alternative
Please, can you recommend me any app that works on the same principle as a real STAMINA MODE?
Most important feature:
"Another really useful functionality, is that you can actually choose to white list your most important apps, allowing them to run in the background even when Battery STAMINA Mode is turned on. I found many apps in Play Store, but the problem is that they have a "WHITE LIST" feature, but this works on another pronciple - see below.
It does NOT stop any app and background data when the white-listed app is running. .
But I need this: Stop all backround data, stop all other apps and keep only 2 my white-listed apps running (chat + notes).

"Super stamina" is just the stock "extended stanby mode" on xperia T and V. It's not the stamina mode of newer devices.

Ok, this one is a real port of the new Stamina mode. But unlocked bootloader is required...
1. Which STAMINA did you mean previously?
2. Why did you mention unlock bootloader? I thought I can safely relock bootloader, or not? (In case of warranty claim.)

The system app for "extended stanby mode" of T and V is superstamina.apk. It's why one call it superstamina.
Regarding the bootloader, I've never tried to unlock it, though I'm considering doing it. Yes, you can relock, but if one day your device is broken down and that you need warranty claim, will you be able to relock?... It's at your own risk!!

well, days ago i installed .145 firmware and flashed the custom rom. after flashing the CFW it shows my rom is .140 but im sure it is originally based on .145
now im goin to flash the zip u gave me but i want to remove the __MACOSX folder and screenshot file in ur zip folder and u removed so many other files in the framework folder. i think its better to replace the framework folder as chinese one bcoz it might be modified framework,services, bla bla files.
Correct steps should be:
1 - flash .145 FW via Flashtool (e.g. this one: https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=vUJGu4EeBG9bSU7iknGU3ak3+5zc1GqIufSoaCgwzAQ=&locale=en)
2 - unlock bootloader
3 - ROOT the firmware
4 - Install e.g. ES File Explorer
5 - Add or Replace only these 6 files below in /SYSTEM folder (of course you need to be rooted)
in /APP:
SemcPowerSaveModule.apk
Settings.apk
SuperStamina.apk
in /BIN:
xssm
in /FRAMEWORK:
core.jar
framework.jar
6 - then reboot

You need .145 FW - it is written there in the title of that forum thread (if you use Google Translate).
I recommend at first flash FW via Flastool and then that kernel also via Flashtool (.ELF).

Flashing Instructions:
THE FOLLOWING METHOD OF ENABLING SEND_COMMAND IS VERY DANGEROUS. ONE SECOND TOO LATE IN PULLING THE CORD AND YOU WILL HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE. ( @Agimax and I have personally bricked one each already using this method)
Copy ROM image to the root directory of your INTERNAL storage.
Carefully open Send_Command port:
Download & Install the LG Drivers & LG Up
Download LG_Root.zip.
Download ZVB TOT
Run LG UP with the ZVB TOT file
Once it gets to 9% on your PC (not on your phone)(and you see a green COM# on your phone screen) -[Takes 20-30 seconds at most], disconnect the phone and close LG UP. **If you f-up this step YOU WILL have a HARD BRICK**
Download and extract LG_root.zip
Connect your phone again and run ports.bat
Now check which COM# for LGDIAG port
Send_Command.exe \\.\COMxx
Command to flash is listed next to the download near the end of this post.
After you issue the command with Send_Command.exe, it should pause for about 2 minutes then go back to #.
Type LEAVE then pull battery when complete.

Regarding the GLOBAL version: If you are a GSM/Global user, please flash that version. For now, they are not a unified build. It does not work properly for Sprint/CDMA users. If you have Sprint & want to try it, go ahead, but it will probably be really buggy.

As far as I know its just security updates and bug fixes.

Just know that once you take ZVB, you can never go back to ZV6, ZV9, or ZVA.

Vietnam is very poor I only buy second-hand goods from the United States for use alone , you wish you helpless , the English did not know whether the new rom which have not researched .

Multirom is unique Russian project which main focus is quality and stability.
Main goal of this project - Their new translation system and patching firmware "B.A.R.S."/Methic
They do not use jBart! (combine that uses apktool and smali/baksmali which used by others/xiaomi.eu etc). Mainly because of this, the quality is much higher than others analog firmware. Apktool hopelessly outdated and it's time to the dustbin of history.
They used about 40 patches to make firmware great. In addition to well-known patches and patch T9 paid to those present:
Patch Anti-spam, calendar (Russian and Ukrainian holidays), camera, wedge-master, e-mail, gallery, a compass, a framework, Mui keyguard, framework, weather, SMS, yellow pages, security center, videos, contacts, and so on. In general, patches adapted typical Chinese setting and services to European.
They do not include third-party firmware hacked software. Only Open-Source. All apk during the translation are subject to optimization. The greater the amount of free RAM - a side effect of the procedure

MultiROM have official emmc_appsboot.mbn and other firmware-update files! If your bootloader is locked (It may occur after 6.11.24 after xiaomi update) you can easyly unlock again from off site. It needed it only once.
If you withdraw the right to unlock (xiaomi fault) you can unofficialy unlock bootloader:
If your phone not boot after flashing, and logo blinks "mi", and you can't to access to recovery.
0. Download the necessary files
1. First install MiFlashSetup.msi (If you have not installed)
2. Reboot phone to Fastboot (Volume down and Power).
3. Go to fastboot_edl and run edl.cmd, phone reboot to EDL mode.
4. In MiFlash choose path to dir Firmware, and run flash.
5. Ready! Your phone is unofficialy unlocked now.

just flashed stable MR got 1.3GB free RAM on 2GB model. It did relock BL...
also first I tried MiUi 7 and also relocked BL, after unlocking it stuck on Mi logo...
but there is really seen quality in MR releqse

Yup. It's safe. After flashing rom; flash that unlock.zip then reboot your phone.

No luck... Flashed this KDZ to Korean LGU+ device.
Checked 'Enable OEM unlock' but can't boot to bootloader. (Typed 'fastboot reboot bootloader ' but just passed to normal booting.)
It looks LG permanently disabled to unlock bootloader for other variants.

if you do it via LG Bridge, connect the phone, go to software update tab, and then software update (or correct error). It will then download the kdz and flash it to the non active slot.

The first link is from LG Bridge (you can look at its log, its in there), the second link is made from the first link, but is a more "open" server, which doesnt require the LG Bridge useragent to download.
For the first link you need to change your browsers useragent to the LG Bridge one, otherwise you end up with "not found" error.

TWRP is going okish, being busy with uni though, last 2/3 weeks lol
My V40 doesnt wanna boot stock roms anymore though... for whatever reason... (keymaster is crashing lol)
only GSIs work (and probably compiled roms, but didnt bump that yet to pie blobs/kernel)

Really appreciate if someone can teach me step by step how to at least flash the firmware manually and even root the phone to custom the kernel. My HK version somehow still stuck on December 2018 security patches.

Hi there is no way currently to flash the LG v40..I have same as you and in the same boat..purchased a Europe model and received a Hong Kong v40..I’ve been looking waiting and hoping for a way to flash becomes available so I can install UK rom but no way to do so at the moment.

Yeah i was planning to flash it with european ROM cause they have similarity which is 6gb ram and 128gb storage as well as dual sim. But, still have no luck to find how to flash the phone itself. Wish someone could tell me how to do that since i have been seeing some people share the kdz file for v40 but never publish how to flash the device...

Europe pie kdz is now available but there’s no point as we can not flash it..I’m in the UK and my v40 won’t OTA update to pie or get security patches as it’s the Hong Kong version and must be regional locked or something..I purchased mine from amazon uk described as the Germany Europe open but got Hong Kong and only discovered recently it was not proper Europe version device...so I’m stuck.
