Cheapest place to buy Exhibit - Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G

Where's the cheapest place to buy the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit? The cheapest Exhibits that I could find are at Walmart ($175) or the T-Mobile website ($200 w/ free $50 refill card).

HSN has it for $130 with goodies. Check out slickdeals thread.
http://m.slickdeals.net/f/5635106-S...e-129-95-Free-Shipping-New-HSN-Customers-Only

I bought mine used from craigslist. Came with everything including a silicone case for $80 :good:
But if you're planning to buy new, I wouldn't. You could spend the same amount of money (roughly $150) on a better phone if you're buying one lightly used. Don't feel bad about buying used - most people take really good care of their phones, so as long as you check it out before paying, you could snag a really good deal. I've seen Nexus S's go as cheap as $120 locally, plus a number of other comparable devices in the same price range. Not trying to bash the Exhibit (even though it sucks royally on Gingerbread) but I'm just pointing out that there are better options for the price.

I got mine for free from T Mobile [Joined just a year ago, that's the phone I chose to get when I joined]
But, if you aren't a first joiner, then you will have to pay like 100 dollars or more, roughly about 170, if you have an upcoming upgrade for T Moble, or of any other carrier, It would probably be more.

This got my interest coz for that price on a Nexus phone might just get me to upgrade my beloved Slim-beaned Samsung Exhibit 4G, until I looked at the specs on the Nexus S which is a HSDPA 7.2Mb/s device. Nope. Not for me. I used to have a 7.2Mb/s tmobile comet which when I was lucky could hit a little over 3Mb/s on speedtest. The Exhibit usually gets above 5Mb/s and I've hit 8Mb/s a couple of times on speedtest.
I tether my Nexus 7 tablet to my phone everyday, so the phone's internet speed is a major factor for me... Nexus 4 is my "wish-list" phone

Android convert goodbye Apple!

I have decided to sell my iPhone 3G & 3GS.
I was offered $190 & $290 for the 3G & 3GS respectively - is that good?
I guess I'm wondering if any of you have sold your iPhones or have more experience with selling old phones (I never have).
Should I try eBay? Or is that too complicated & expensive with the fees & shipping etc.?
Should I try Craigslist or Kijiji (they are free) - do you think I'd get more than what I was offered?
I like my N1 a lot and don't want my iPhones sitting in my closet any more
go to ebay and look at completed listings. that will tell you how much they are selling for on ebay...check out Craigslist also...see what people are asking.
your old iphones can run android too, they make a good gift
You can get 300-350 for 3g and 450-550 for 3gs. Don't accept anything less. That's on Craigslist in Chicago. Only do locals deals for cash in a public place.

I agree with gom4381. I sold my lame 2g iPhone in January for $250 in Florida.
Sold my 3gs for $540 on fleabay back in feb.
I got $425 for my jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 16GB 3Gs via Craigslist last weekend.
Well I got more than double what I was expecting so I'm happy.
I didn't ask for as much as some of you got because:
°I had the lower GB models
°The 3G had significant scratches on the screen, I had put a screen protector on after which made the scratches less noticeable but still...
°The guy was willing to take both
Plus I felt guilty asking for too much because isn't the 4G coming out just around the corner? Guess I'm too nice...
But I'm pleased as I didn't accept the first offer. And really it feels like now I paid much less for my N1

[Q] Best deal for a Galaxy Tab?

I was told about a retailmenot coupon that would net me a refurbished galaxy tab from AT&T for $250, but today when I went to buy one I found the terms had changed. The discount now only applies to accessories you buy on top of the tab.
I was really disappointed to find the price had gone up (I have almost no need for accessories).
Has anyone else found great deals for the galaxy tab?
nah for me , i bought the galaxy tab , around 900$ in malaysia , without contract CASH .. and after 2months i found the price drop down 300 .. it was like a shock . but hell no , my tab enjoyment worth even 10000$ to have such a nice friends here in the XDA forum Galaxy Tab Section ... dude , if you really wanna buy it , do not focus on the price , focus on the things that will come after you have it ..

Got mine off Woot a few weeks ago for $280. To me when you start pushing the $300 mark for a wifi only tablet you're pushing it. I can't see myself paying much more than that for a tablet. None of the devices really stand out from their peers at this point and it remains to be seen if there really is a long term market for them. I see prices dropping drastically at least for Android tablets as the holidays approach.
I know price is not the most important factor, but I'm just a college kid looking for a cheap yet high-quality tablet that I can use until better, namely quad-core, technology is released.
That $50 or $100 really matters because there is so much that can be done with that money and I'd like to save as much as I can. Can anyone help me find a good deal?
If you're looking for a sprint gtab go to ebay.com.au (australia), they have been selling tabs for less than $200. Not sure about postage rates though...

You're basically buying a toy though. Paying $400-500 for a toy is too much IMO. Especially if you're on a typical college student's budget.
The at&t website lists a refurbished 3g tab for $299. www.att.com

[Q] Deals on the Bionic

Just wondering what kind of deals people have seen on the Bionic. It almost seems like 3rd parties werent really pushing this phone. I know Costco had an ad with some accessories, but I also saw in the ad that it might not be on opening day.
Has anyone else seen anything worthwhile?
unfortunately nothing special as of yet. i have heard that you can do the $100 off trade-in deal if you are upgrading from a non-smart phone. other then that just accessories.
I got the 100 off for using a non smart phone upgrade then 50 off the new every two rebate. See what happens.
Phone Arena's reporting Costco's doing $280 + a nice accessories bundle.
I was in Costco today. They said they would have 8 tomorrow at this store. He wouldn't say the price but claimed it came with $170 worth of accessories including a dock. He did say they would be cheaper than the Verizon stores.
I am seriously considering this phone instead of my Droid Charge.
Im getting rid of my Charge for this phone. I just cant take the battery drain any more.
I wonder if Amazon or anyone else will be running big specials.

Probably be some deals within a couple weeks, but I doubt it this week.
I just logged into my verizon and the upgrade price they have for me is $249. I totally expected $299.
I got this price by logging into the main phone account on a family plan and attempting to upgrade a secondary line.
$249 at amazonwireless
$50 for NE2, $30 off as loyalty bonus, free o/n shipping.
So one major gripe most reviewers had has been reduced. At $219, unlimited data and rooting it seems like a better deal, somewhat worthy of the delay.
I guess all new smartphones would receive such discount, but by most accounts the bionic is a capable phone and a significant jump from my D1.

For new customers only, unfortunately. Upgrade is $249.
wow didnt know verizon had it cheaper. was about to go to BJ's to buy it as I usually do, since the price for the phone is generally the same and they have better deals on the accessories. Thanks for saving me the money.
EDIT: just went to VZW and it only wants to give me a price of $289 with no loyalty bonus. I am part of a family plan but that shouldnt matter. I have been eligible since july for upgrade. amazonwireless says its backordered.
Checked this morning and:
Wirefly.com was $249
Amazon.com was $199 ( backordered)
Letstalk.com was $199
I'm hoping BJs/Costco will drop the price to $199 and waive the activation fee for me
Walmart.com also has it for $199. stores don't have them yet. Just checked. Don't want to wait though. Plus I'm always paranoid about a 3rd party seller screwing up my plan and charging me extra. Especially my unlimited plan.
Sent from my Droid using XDA App
$269 in store plus $100 trade-in credit for old phone when adding a line.
Can anyone confirm the $249 price with verizon for upgrading a current line?
I am secondary on a family plan, and my upgrade isn't until 9/13, but the extra $50 off makes the deal a little easier to swallow. As far as loyalty, we have been good customers for at least 5 years, not sure how they do their calculations as to who is "loyal"

I am also secondary on a family plan and the best I got was $289. Just got mine a little while ago. Been with verizon for 8 years, but only 2 have been on the family plan I am now. Guess they dont count the other time before that.

My mistake, this price was listed on my verizon for me because I had a $50 phone credit that I was unaware of. When I asked the verizon rep he said that all family plans are credited this $50 every 20 months.
I went in to the store today and got the Bionic for $289 without an upgrade and almost 50% off some accessories. Got the phone $589, a extended battery and door $49.99, case and holster $29.99, HDMI dock $99.99, and screen protectors $12.99 plus 24.43 tax and out the door for $431.63. Saved $375.75

Galaxy Tab 8.9 at BestBuy for $400

Galaxy Tab 8.9 is at BestBuy for $400 until Saturday. Is there any chance it will.be any lower in the next 2-3 months for any reason? If not I gotta go get one.
I think no chance.
Thanks for that post
I have 2, replaced 2 Motorola Xooms. A friend has the 10.1 and stares at my 8.9 with envy.
Best part, if it goes cheaper, best buy will match the price. (ie. after reading this post I printed the webpage and brought both receipts to Best Buy and got $54 back for each.)
BUY IT
I agree, I picked on up for the wife for Christmas, she has been dying for this one!!!
Like smac says Best Buy will price match if it goes lower.
Thanks
I just bought one last week. Picked it up for $350 at best buy, it was on sale and this was an open box. Someone didn't use it at all, they didn't even take the plastics off of the device. Their loss is my gain.
I couldn't be happier with my tablet, I have mine overclocked at 1.6ghz and I had 7k score on Antutu benchmark before it froze up. 1.51 holds steady fine though with an even benchmark of 7k almost flat. I'd get one even if you have to spend the little bit more. Unless you want the Prime, but you should be able to return your tab and pick it up within the allowed return time.
Good luck!
Is this in store only? I still see it for 449.99 online?
I think the sale is over but they run promotions on different models a lot. Such a beautiful tablet, keep your eyes open!
hey yeah.. ask if they have any open box ones.. they are still under warranty and the 14 day best buy return.. and to get one for 350 is the way to go. I got mine open box for 400 and it was flawless.
Got mine at att for 430$

Got mine at AT&T for $450 with a free SkyRocket. The sales guy told me about the deal since i wanted the SkyRocket but i told him I wasnt interested in getting a $35/mo data plan to get the tablet. He said I didnt have to get a data plan for it as long as I had one on the SkyRocket (which obviously you have to). AT&T LTE is stupid fast here in Kansas City, on the store phone it was pulling 40Mbps down/12Mbps up consistently, saw in the history where it has been as high as 50Mbps.
I don't know how long it goes but Best Buy was having a promotion for Galaxy Tabs today that gave you a $50 gift certificate on purchase.

Note 7 Deal, Is It Really A Deal?

Now that we see different deals coming out from carriers, BOGO, $480 trade, 50% off, is the Note 7 offer really a deal or are we just being duped with marketing to buy from Samsung?
Should we voice our opinions to Samsung and try to get some reconciliation of some kind?
What do you all think?
I picked up an iphone 5S from Walmart for the trade in. Cost around $100. Bottom line is that I don't have to add a line I don't need to my TMO account along with loosing my grandfathered incredible account. Net cost is $605 and I get $100 worth of freebies as a pre-order. I think it is a great deal for former Note 7 owners.
The difference really is in the new line or adding line details. Still, since there is any deal for any carrier new line or add a line, 480 trade, 50%, or BOGO, shouldn't the Note 7 offer have been a little more than the rest...those who trade in the lesser of the phones for 425 is getting a better deal but if they are trading in the s8 or s7, att is better and sprint is 50% off with no trade...it doesn't really bother me, I was just curious how everyone feels about it...I like the Samsung deal because I own the phone, but Sprint lease has 20/month with trade ins that can bring it to 10/month as another posted for 240 total and paying at the end to own another 240...so 480 total...but the whole thing with monthly payments...is it really a savings?

I grabbed a very near mint Galaxy S5 for $80, turn around and save $425 off the Note8. At the end of the day with the S5 trade in, selling the gear360 and selling my LG V20 I will walk away with the Note8 for around $260 (break down below) so I am pretty happy.

I agree that it is not really a deal for Note 7 owners when I am trading in my Note 5 for $480. But that is the carriers, not really Samsung's fault.

The fact that people have been buying Note 7 emails and codes even though they didn't own one just to get in on the deal shows that it's a pretty good deal.
What I got from Samsung because of the Note 7 fiasco:
Free use of the Note 7 for 4 months (normally $37.50 a month to lease = $150 comped)
Free use of the loaner S7Edge for 5 months (another $32.59 a month = $165 comped)
Free 256gb memory card ($250)
Free Gear VR ($125?)
$425 off a note 8 after trade in ($425 - $75 to buy a brand new iphone 5s from straight talk = $350)
Free 360 camera ($250?)
That's already $1000+ of free stuff right there, and that's just from 1 Note 7 and 1 Note 8. Others got multiple Note 7s and 8s and probably got even more stuff.
I'm only familiar with the Tmo BOGO, so that's the one I can talk about. The Sprint leasing deal is pretty good though. $10? or $20? a month for a lease to own the Note 8. Only downside is you're tied to Sprint for 2 years.
For the TMo BOGO: It's great if you are need 2 lines and 2 Note 8s anyway (wife, buddy, group buy). But for those of us who need just 1 or not on TMo, the Samsung deal is easier to do. For the TMo BOGO you need to add a line ($10 a month until the prepaid card comes in), you have to wait several months to get your money, you have to pay full taxes for both phones, and you have to go through selling the 2nd phone and freebie if you only need one phone.
Yes, the Note 7 deal is part of marketing from Samsung, but they're also legitimately subsidizing money for that deal because you were a loyal Note user. What they didn't anticipate is that carriers are also willing to lose money and subsidize the Note 8 just to lock you into their network. Just be happy that all these corporations are willing to lose money just to keep us, as opposed to 10 years ago when carriers didn't care and blatantly screwed everyone because we had no choice but to bend over (Verizon is still that way today).

Man, where did you find an S5 that cheap? I selected to send in a non-Samsung phone. According to chat, that's what I have to send in. Looking for a used V20, they're all in the $175-200 price range unless it's a bad IMEI.
