I do not recommend removal od LGlauncher. Explanation is simple: if in any case you would like to reset your phone, you will step into **** as there will be no launcher to start with.
No, you can make it system's application and it wont be any problem.

Of course. One can put any app in system folder with propper permissions but it is another process then just stupidly ripping system files according to list at the beginning.
dont use smaid's corpse finder and system cleaner it will lost your gsm home button and launcher

This (what i wrote) means delete which you want. Listed apps can be deleted without any problems. I didnt say you must delete everything what i write. i only said you can delete them. You can choose one of them, two of them, ten of them or none of them
And we have got a topic for gb. This topic for ics did you wrote same things to gb topic?

what is the purpose of removing these apps?
will it make the battery better and the os more fluid?
i dont want any app on my rom which i dont use.
some of them are running background.
they are using ram.
i think maybe a little but they drains battery too.
and i am sure that, they are using internal storage...
The first post is very informative, and could give you some hints on what is safe to remove, if all the options are explained properly.
You don't need to butcher your phone and delete all apps, that's stupid, and I always go trough this process with every rom, and I needed a reflash or a restore with Titanium on numerous occasions, so take care with uninstalling system apps!
Nice work!
P.S.: Have you noticed that ICS rom has a very small number of processes/system apk's compared to GB? It's a hell of a lot faster and easier to trim the fat off these roms!

Does anyone know where I can find the weatherbug widget that is a analog clock with the weather on it? I was messing with a friend of mine's Fascinate and she had it on her homescreen.
Would like to find this myself
Here is the .apk but it falls to install... any ideas?
I wonder if the file needs to be re-named
I would love to know...
Looks like there is an odex file as well
I have the odex as well... how do I get this to work?
I believe put them in /data/app. That is where I put buddies now and calendar clock
How do I get there?
R u rooted.
yes sir with cog beta6
If you can post the odex. I'll give it a try
I use root explorer. Set as r/w go to data in system file, go to app and paste there...apk and ode
I had to compress due to forum restrictions... apk and odex are in the rar
Nope. Did not work
well if someone wants to figure it out its all there!
Any DEvs out there have any insight into this. I have tried putting the ODEX and APK into; app/data and system/framework, with no success. Tried to find where the yahoo finance clock is located to drop the files in there but can not find YFC anywhere?

Guys, they go in /system/app.
Not /data/app or /system/framework.
Place the .apk into the proper folder, reboot, and it should be there. You shouldn't need the odex file, but you can place it in the same directory as the apk if you want.
I've downloaded cm 7.2 RC4..
I open that rom, and deleted some applications that I think I don't need it, like :
- android keyboard (i replace with samsung keyboard)
- adw launcher (replace with GO Launcher EX)
- androdian and cyanbread (I don't really like that theme)
- BMKG
- browser
- car Home
- global Time
- gallery3D ----> i think you know why i remove this apps, if you use cm7
- pro tips
- all stock cm7 live wallpaper
- and other
and then I flash it..
it's works well..
Is it dangerous if I do that?
whether it will cause the FC if I install some applications?
sorry i have bad English

NO for me. uninstall Musice app and install google music. file manager and install astro.
but better flash rom then remove your unwanted apps with titanum backup and before backup that app.
ok
i do that, but when i want fresh rom, i must install titanium (again) and manually deleted (again) my unwant application.. right?

Your list is quite safe, except for onw thing : browser, which I never deleted. Other apps should be safe to delete. Just make sure you know what you're doing. And don't delete phone.apk and contacts.apk.

always FC (many application like market, phone, etc)
whats wrong? is my cm 7.2 RC4 not suitable with old version of market?
iTS DANgerous if you dont know what your doing .
I think you can't simply uninstall vending and everything will be ok. There's a flashable Gapps zip somewhere in this forum with the old vending, no autoactualizable (I think that word doesn't even exist in english xD). I hope to help.

I did that too, just remember to change permission and ownership for the old market (vending.apk). Btw, try to clear data from Market (from manage applications--all--Market) first. And don't forget to delete MarketUpdater.apk as well.

but in CM stock rom zip file no marketupdater.apk .
i use RC4 and not really know it's true in other RC version.
What the hell is this?
No hype, no gimmicks. This is a CWM backup of my daily driver ROM, a stock 4.1.B.0.587, which is fast, clean, stable, de-bloatwared, supercharged and slightly (slightly, but not too much, so nothing experimental and unstable inside) modded to my (and maybe your) needs. If you searched for something like that, then read on.
v2.1 Features
Changes from v1 marked as blue text
Based on stock 4.1.B.0.587 for LT18i
Available as standalone full CWM backup for clean install, or flashable upgrade (for upgrade from v1) *** read install notes
Stable, fast, more free RAM compared to pure stock or v1 (check screenshots)
Everything that works on stock, works here to, incl. HDMI, games, etc.
Stock Xperia bootscreen
As reported by users also compatible with LT15i, but phone will presents itself as LT18i due to build.prop
De-bloawared, also removed Google Talk, Theme support (for more RAM) and Live Wallpapers (for more free space)
Deodexed
Rooted using OverLo4d's method
100% Supercharged, credits zeppelinrox
It's CWM backup so it's good for locked bootloaders also
Walkman with Bass U7, credits ThilinaC
Xperia S Home, credits ThilinaC & serajr
IC.Xperiance style notification bar, credits theumad
Modded SemcPhone.apk by arcatarc, so 2G/3G switching from QuickPanel works (but, on reboot systems reverts to 2G/3G mode - that is a "bug" of stock ROM)
Xperia S Calculator, Phone & Contacts from jader's Xperia Ice Bean ROM
Xperia GX Album & Email and Calendar app (compared to stock these are white themed) from jader's Xperia Ice Bean ROM
Modded Holo Camera, credits jader & malavi
v1 Features
Based on stock 4.1.B.0.587 for LT18i
As reported by users also compatible with LT15i, but phone will presents itself as LT18i due to build.prop
De-bloawared
Deodexed
Rooted using OverLo4d's method
100% Supercharged, credits zeppelinrox
It's CWM backup so it's good for locked bootloaders also
Walkman with Bass U6, credits ThilinaC
Xperia S Home, credits ThilinaC & serajr
QPT BiancoNegro tabbed notification bar mod with Quick Panel Toggles and modded Phone app, credits arcatarc
Galaxy S III UI sounds (I really don't remember where I've found this ogg's, sorry)
Some minor mods I may have missed. If I forgot to credit anyone please remind me and I will give credits!
Installation
Extract the CWM backup folder to your "sdcard/clockworkmod/backup" folder
Reboot to CWM recovery
Wipe data, system, cache, dalvik cache
Restore my CWM backup > restore system & data for Supercharger V6 optimisations full effect (don't worry, CWM backup is made after a clean restore, so data is clean except Supercharger V6 files)
Reboot
To get correct data and MMS settings for your provider, use Settings > Xperia menu.
I use subhankar.ds's ARC/S-Advanced stock-4.1.B.0.587 kernel, so WiFi libs are from stock kernel. If you use other kernel, you'll probably need to flash libs for that specific kernel.
Important v2.1 note: There are 2 way to get v2.1. One is to use v2.1 CWM backup and make a clean restore, other is to flash 2.1 flashable update over v1. But when compared those two options give sligtly different ROMs. V2.1 from CWM backup has no themes and live wallpapers support (and more free RAM). V1 has themes and live wallpapers and they will stay there also when you upgrade to v2.1 using flashable zip - so, when using this option you either keep live themes and live wallpapers and have less free RAM, or you can manually remove them to get more free RAM.
Download
Version 2.1, full & clean CWM backup: Get it here!
Version 2.1, flashable zip for upgrade from v1: Get it here!
Version 1: Get it here!

Q/A
Why have I put this together and not used any ROM?
Cause I couldn't find any .587 based ROM that would fit my need, that is stock based, clean, super-fast, de-bloatwered and without any experimental JB and similar stuff (thus the stability). So I installed stock .587, rooted it and started modding it with this great mods of our great developers, and this CWM backup is the result. A clean, fast and stable .587 stock ROM, supercharged and with some UI modification.
What did you develop?
Absolutly nothing. I don't take credits for anything besides putting this thing together.
What about a CWM installable zip?
Probably never gonna happen. I'm not a developer, more line an advanced user.
Why did you then publish this?
Because I like what I've done putting this together and why not share it. If one person finds this usefull then I'd be happy.
Addons
If anybody is interested in having AeonWorld's X S Lockscreen mod, I can confirm it works. Use .587 version and install precisely according to Aeon's instructions. You'll get an Xperia S configurable lockscreen and also new Settingslook with bluish icons. Thanks AeonWorld, all credits to you!
Bugs
If you get random Xperia Home FC's after restore, go into Settings > Apps > All, find Xperia Home and Xperia Home Properties, force stop them both and clear data, reboot.. Problem gone. This happened to me, nobody else reported it.

U'r right, must have been more like ~230 Mb, but now I'm not sure anymore.
That good! At least, you shared what you're using everyday. I used to do this before too but never upload any backup

sound
Hi all,
First of all congrats on this ROM. I've flashed it and it lives up to the OP, but I made some comparisons wiht the original stock one and it seems to me that the sond is just not that powerfull as in the original one. By sound I mean using a headset or bluethooht connection in my car's radio system. The bass just doesn't seem to be right as opposed to the stock ROM. Overall if I use the original music player in the stock ROM i'm very pleased with how it sounds. If I use your ROM which has a diferente music player I'm somehow dissapointed with the sound. I used off courese the same headset, the same car, and the same songs being played. This could of course be just me being picky but i'm just curious if anybody else feels the same. Other than that great job
Cheers,
Did you check if XLoud is enabled? Also, you can try playing with presets in equalizer.. Althought, ClearBass is not working, I asked ThilinaC to look into it.

does this rom works with the arc lti15 device?
I don`t think so, maybe with LT15i build.prop but not sure even for that..

Nice rom. For me, clear bass works, don't expect big boom bass, it's not a Dr beat cure but it's cleary gives deeper bass.
Missing SimToolKit (Stk.apk) and OfficeSuite, just reinstall from stock rom. On quick panel, screen time out, you can't see the time out.
I use Apex launcher since Sony Home gives only 4 rows for apps, but i have many FC with Xperia Home when i'm using phone app, so i freeze Xperia Home.
This rom gives a solid 3896 max Antutu score, with class 10 µSD card and i can play Asphalt 6, despite random touch screen problem but it's the same with stock 587.

I have created a flashable zip for you to remove the items you listed. As standard I take no responsibility should something go wrong, so make a backup just in case. I use this same zip everyday to remove bloat after flashing nightlies so I see no reason for something to not work. Let me know though if something needs to be tweaked or if it doesn't work.

I don't know how to create flashable zip but as far as i know we can edit update-script ? Can I modify it too ?
TIL that GAPPS is Bloatware.
I do not consider 90% of those bloatware. It just looks like you're removing all the Google apps that can be downloaded manually from the play store.

I give this thread 1 derp vote. I think you need to re-check what bloatware is, I'll give you a hint its not the apps that provide half the core functionality of Android.
I have a startac you might enjoy.
OP, don't listen to the derps who can't grasp the concept that bloatware is subjective.
This is the approach that SlimRom takes. Which is to remove all apps and associated files that are NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for android to function. It leaves the user to determine which apps they want to install.
Thank you op for this thread. I too like to remove apps that I never use.
It's all about CHOICE. People are free to customize their ROM, however they want. And this is obviously not a tweak that a newbie should be doing anyway.

Removing Hangouts APK will also break sms functionality.

If you use 7zip just right click file, open archive (don't unzip) and navigate to update-script. Then add or remove as you please. Just follow the scripts as I have entered them and it should work just fine

If people report a function of android that gets broken with a removal of a particular app, maybe put a comment next to it saying what it breaks. Like how removing hangouts breaks sms.
Most apps are self-explanatory, but sometimes there are things that don't work that you wouldn't know unless you tried.
This thread can be great, sort of like a wiki for system app functionality.

Hey,
First off, this is great! Don't pay any attention to the haters and the trolls who have nothing better to do. A couple of suggestions, could you do one for deodex, secondly it would be cool if someone could create an aroma out of this do that there is some choice, also do that there is an option to replace the removed apps with apks, backups on the internal storage. Edit: removing hangouts does not break sms, I tried it. IMO the holo blue messaging app on xda is way better

* Script is just for optional I created this thread for list.Script is not made by me,
* FOR BACKUP : Yes good idea, we can move apps to internel storage instead of removing them.
I don't think the thread is "great" but I'll update later thanks again.
This script is for use only for nexus 5(hammerhead) on a cyanogenmod11. Specifically tested on m11. Please, make a nandroid backup before flashing script incase something terrible happens. If you want to see what apps it deletes look at the script. Mostly junk I never use.

or you can use a root file explorer and just delete the apks in /system/app/ and /systempriv-app/, specifically the one you personally do not want. then just reboot.

Yes, as you can pretty much do with anything whether its adding or removing apps. Its for convenience. I could also manually go through and install a bunch of apks, but why not just make a script to do it for me? Thanks for your comment!

scripts are absolutely fine. the problem would be somebody elses bloat might be another persons valuable app. anyways, you should list what apps your script removes
Ok. Thats actually a great point. Thank you for the advice. Im very new to this edify language and making scripts. Really it was just a script for me but i just wanted to share it, but i will go back and edit my first post to have it list the apps. Thanks once again for your help!
