hi there, i have one problem here, how can i solve my htc smart dialer? Because, when i serach the name using number, the contact dosent give me suggestion of name.
Seems to be rom related, flash another rom and see if problem persists.

I have the HTC S730 with the original HTC ROM & Software, however I am unable to get the great VIPPIMRingTone app to work on my device to allow be assign ring tones to my various contact catagories.

I am trying to change the default dialer (open touch 4.0) with the htc dialer and this is what I get. Any idea?
If not where can I find a similar dialer? the one on the open touch has small keys and is not very responsive. It worked better with the htc dialer but obviously I can't use this one.

Well I found another one that works. But just by curiosity, if someone know what the hell that was about feel free to let me know.

HI, after i flashed to the official asian rom, V1.37
My msn contacts could not show my friends who are online..
everyone is offline but when i logged out from my diamond, my PC's MSN shows that my friends are online.
Anyone has this problem too?
I have/had the same Problem on my HTC Touch. There is a patch at the HTC e-club. Just choose the HTC Touch and download the Patch. Maybe this works on the Diamond, too.

Is there a way to install the smart HTC dialer? I mean the one that if you tap "7663" it shows up your contact labelled "home"...

No, because it requires the HTC framework.
If you are looking for a fast ROM that has the HTC Dialer- all the Rogers ROM's would work for you.
I have just seen news that the HTC Sync Upgrade for HTC Hero is available, I didnt know that the original was out there!! The link for the UK is as follows:

My question is, most of the Hero ROM's for the G1 now have HTC Sync removed from the builds, does anyone know how I could get it back?
Is it a separate APK or is it part of the Rosie.apk... If anyone could help I would be grateful, would like to try it out at the very least, although GMail sync is the best...
