Spigen SGP Ultra Thin Air - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Has any one tried the Spigen SGP Ultra Thin Air. It looks very good and I hope it comes with one of their great screen protectors.

Why are all these manufacturers so lazy in making black cases for gray phones? ARgggg

+1

black is slimming

I was going to buy this case, but couldn't purchase directly from their page, and Amazon only had it in white. I went with the Incipio Feather in black instead. http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...amsung-galaxy-note-ii-feather-shine-case.html
The color goes will with the Grey note 2. It seems more like a dark grey to me, and the "Aluminum Finish" looks similar to the finish on the Titanium Grey note. Ill post some pics with the case on once I get my replacement battery door tonight.
I did order the Spigen button covers though and should have them tonight. Anyone want a pink one button cover, let me know and I will ship it to you at no cost. I'm only going to use the other two.

Wow I didn't know Incipio made one for the galaxy note 2 it looks good. I think I might get this one. What does the surface feel like though i hope it isnt the slippery plastic because i think the Ringke and SGP are both matte

My Ringke slim cases, both for the Galaxy Nexus and Note 2 always were too slippery for me. I had both in Matte Black. I dealt with the slipperiness as well as how they attract finger prints since I liked how they looked and felt in the phone. With the one for the Note2, I finally had to give it up though since finger prints seemed much more visible. That said, the Incipio feather, in my opinion, feels less slippery than the Ringke Slim. I'm sure some may find it too slippery for their tastes, but for now its going to be my daily case unless I find something nicer. Ill post pictures later tonight once I have a camera. The Note 2 along with the Spigen button covers and this case make me happy for now.

I just received today my black SGP Ultra thin air, it's matted black and it has a soft touch to it, it does come with a Ultra crystal screen protector which is awesome.....
It's extremely slim and compared to the Pt (best buy) case that I was using for around 2 weeks the phone feels now like I have nothing on it its so slim.
Very happy with it, highly recommend it to anyone that's even considering it, had it on my GS3 that's why I got it for my note since I liked it so much on my previous device.
Took some pictures with the wife's GS3, battery was really low so flash didn't come on, anyway here they r

[Q] Thinnest Case?

Hi,
I am looking for a case that adds minimal bulk to the device. I would prefer something with a soft-touch finish, but not necessarily silicone.
So far, I have looked at the Seidio Surface, the SGP Ultra Silke, and the Rearth Ringke.
Does anyone know from experience which of these cases is thinnest?
Also, has anyone found other cases that will retain the slimness of the phone?
Thanks.
I dont know from experience but from reading these forums the incipio feather case maybe be the slimmest. Its hard case that snaps on but doesnt cover the top or bottom of the phone. I do got the Rearth Ringke which is awesome. The fit is great.

Thanks for the reply. Is the Rearth Ringke relatively slim as well?
Also interested in a slim case.
Its really not that bad. The fit is great and the texture it has is a nice touch. It has enough grip to keep it from slipping but slippery enough to keep lent and fingerprints off.

^That's good to know.
Does anyone else have any suggestions for slim cases?
you could get these if you would consider a skin http://www.adreama.com/products/mobile-phone-skins/samsung/nexus-s
they're pretty damn thin, give good grip, protects the outside of your phone from scratches, and you get two so you can pick which color you prefer
I wish case mate would make a barely there case. There seems to be a huge demand for it.
incipio case quite slim, soft, and sexy.. the only drawback is it's quite fragile. my friend bought it awhile ago, he had SOD (sleep of death) many times using netarchy kernel and he had to remove the case to remove the battery. after a few remove, the case start to get loose and finally the case gave up and broke..

This seems interesting. I have found several cases identical to this on eBay for as little as $3 (like this andthis).
The material seems different than other TPU cases, and is just what I am looking for. Anyone else have a case similar to this (TPU, but with matte-finish rubberized rear)?

that second one looks just like the black one that you get in the two pack I posted. I actually think that the black one looks really bad with a black phone, but that's just my opinion.
I have the incipio feather case (black) and love it. Soft touch, great grip, and best of all no fingerprints. Not a tacky rubberized feel that sticks to everything (lint, hair). There is a little space at the top and bottom that isn't covered (bottom for port access) but it looks great. very slim. I bought the standard black case that best but had available on launch day and the crappy rubbery screen protector. Couldn't stand either one and dug out my g1 sleeve cover.
Bought the incipio because I hate the slick back of the phone. Been using it ever since.
I would disagree that it is fragile. I take it off and put it back on at least once a week and haven't had any loosening or breakage (after several months of use). Thing is still rock solid and fits perfectly snug.
hopefully this is helpful.
edit: although it is very thin and adds very little bulk, it is noticeable. With the case on, my phone no longer fits in my g1 sleeve and this makes me kind-of a sad panda.

How is your overall experience with the two-pack case that you posted? Does it add too much bulk to the device, or attract dust/lint?

Thanks so much for the detailed review. I appreciate the input.
The Feather seems to be a promising alternative to the other cases, mainly because I love the soft touch finish.

I actually think that the phone fits better in my hand with the case on. i'm not worried that i'm going to snap it in half on accident and it's only the tiniest bit bulkier than it normally would be.
I seem to notice little hairs and stuff accumulating right where the case stops, but it's easy enough to either wipe them off without removing the case or to just pull the case off and clean around the edges. overall, I think it's a great case. I added some before and after pictures so you could see how little bulk there is.
I also have the Incipio Feather Case and agree with discussion above. Actually have 2 for 2 phones.
Black is matte finish. Teal is not, but its not a hard, shiny plastic feel. I really like it, questioned buying but so tired of black (their other colors are
very bright, way too much for a mother of 3).
I was looking for the thinnest case possible and feel this is it.
The top and bottom is open so won't protect there, but has the corners.
The thing I love the most is the grip, felt the phone was too slick and just
waiting to drop. This solved that. I do not feel it is fragile, don't take off
that much, but have no problems using fingernail. It is tight, but that is good.
Would highly recommend. And if shopping on Ebay, there are some for $20
shipped. It states Nexus S (not specific for 4g, even on the box when you
receive it), but if it is Incipio, not knock off, it works.
sgp case is very good

[Q] Decent Nexus S Case?

I've been searching all around for a decent case for my new phone. I want something that will give it minor drop protection, isn't bulky and doesn't look ugly. Locally I don't have much of a selection but the two I've been looking at are the adreama case and the incipio feather case. Does anyone have any suggestions or have tried either of those cases?
I have the incipio feather. I bought it only so I could lay my phone down without fear of scratching my camera or backplate. It offers little to no drop protection. But can barely tell its there if you like a minimalist approach.
I have a rocketfish case I got at best buy. I was looking for exactly the same thing you are. It's a rubbery case but the outside is hard coated, as are the edges so it doesn't stretch or stick. It's all black and molds to the phone. I really love mine.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketf...lack/2494399.p?id=1218330754572&skuId=2494399
Any cheap TPU case will do. Can't see myself plopping over 10$ for a case, and definitely don't like the so said protection of "hard" cases they sell just about everywhere. Next thing you know the case blows into 1 billion tiny pieces or just breaks away from your phone at the most minor drop.
This from SGP is very nice, and comes with a first rate screen protector.
http://www.sgpstore.com/sgp-google-nexus-s-case-ultra-silke-series.html.
I just bought this one:
http://goo.gl/fktZi
Very happy with it. Makes the phone feel very solid. It does add some bulkiness, but it's worth it because the case feels great to hold.
This is the one I use, I have had it on it since day one. Reminds me of an otterbox, but half the price and not nearly as bulky.
Bump for Incipio, have one in blue, one in teal and its subdued. Does offer protection, least bulk I could find and love it.
Thanks for everyones responses, I think I'm going to settle on the Feather case. One more question, is it necessary to have a screen protector? I'm generally pretty safe with screens, I managed to have all of my iPod screens live without a scratch so far but I'm not sure how much this screen will be able to manage.
I have the Incipio thin feather case. Its as low as $16.95 on Ebay and is super thin, sexy, and sleek. Just be prepared to beat women off of you. They come runnin'. lol
Google Nexus S Pop! Cases
This case is a great addition to my Sprint Nexus - S. It was very easy to put the phone in the case basically just running one's thumbnail around the edge will make sure the phone is in tight and well sealed.
The case 'elevates' the phone's glass off of a surface when placing the phone face down. Plus, the rubber edge makes a nice satisfying and 'rubbery' thunk, and you know it just won't slide around!

I had a TPU case and then got the Rearth Ringke case, and the Ringke case is much better. Retains thinness of the phone, looks sleek and feels great in the hands. Worth looking into.
Incipio Feather is awesome. I'm less worried about protection and more worried about how slippery this phone is. The case gives it grip and looks alright too.
i have this one on for the past 8 months.. its a beautiful case that hardly adds any bulk to the phone... and its 4 bucks

+1 for incipio feather. Just picked myself up one.. won't offer much drop protection but it's a sleek slim case.
I have never been one for cases, but I purchased the Incipio Feather and I haven't had the need to take it off. Love the damn thing.
Hope that helps.
another +1 for incipio feather. just got mine yesterday, great case. and i think it would actually offer some drop protection, at least if it landed on a corner or back.
if you need to access the back of the phone frequently though, to change battery or sim, forget this case. it fits really really well, and would be a pain to take off all the time imho.

Ringke is great until the soft touch rubs off and it starts sticking in your pocket and collecting lint.

A screen protector is a must have, there are no arguments against it.
You can get already 3 protectors in high quality for 1.77$!
And im not a fan of any case, smartphones are thick enough and you take it off after a while anyways.

Protective Cases with small Form

What would be the best armor/protective case for the G2 with a small size?
Not as big as an Otterbox Defender, nothing bulky...
But not as thing as a thin TPU case...
Looking at the SPIGEN Slim Armor right now, seems appealing but also kind of thin.
I love my slimArmor, It is a bit thin on the face side but that's where I have the iLoome Flex glass protector on. Hopefully in a drop the iLoome cracks and my screen stays in one piece.
If you want less than the defender then try the otterbox commuter. I have it for mine and I don't regret it at all, very reasonable thickness with a nice lip on the front for a case this protective, plus none of the button problems that seem to plague the defender series

It's a very thin case, with almost zero rim. Thinner than the Slim Armor, if the photos of the latter are correct. Like 1mm of rim, which is barely that tall. The only cases with less rim that I've seen are the official QuickWindow case and maybe the Feather.

I bought it for my wife's Verizon G2, the pink one. It is a very good case, a good mix of protection and being slim. The plastic back has a matte finish a has a slight grip to it.So nice in fact, I just bought the white one for my newly purchased G2. :good:
My Verizon LG G2 came with a white/grey Incipio DualPro case. My initial feeling toward it is that the silicone is too flexible and pulls too easily away from the top and bottom front faces of the phone. While putting the outer shell on the phone, it felt like the case just wouldn't be stiff enough, but now that it's on the shell isn't so bad. The case has decent grip, but the white color of the outer shell picks up color from your pocket (or whatever else it rubs up against for a bit). I really like how the rear buttons are covered up, yet actually easier to use because of the more pronounced power button bulge.
On my previous phone (a Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII) I regularly used a pebble blue TPU case from Belkin, but also had a blue Otterbox Commuter for when I'd go camping and hiking. I quite liked the Commuter and will compare the Incipio DualPro against it.
I've been using a Diztronic matte black TPU case for the last week (my first full week with the device). Now I've switched over to the Incipio to check it out. I'll give it as long as I can stand it and will post back here.
Anyone checkout or have experience with the trident cyclops case for the g2? I used it on my moto x, for the protection it offered, really didn't have much bulk, was thinner then the commuter. Found a good deal on a g2 cyclops thinking on checking it out.

24 Hour update: I've spent 24 hours with the Incipio DualPro case on my Verizon LG G2. It is definitely growing on me. While the slightly rubberized hard shell feels slightly slippery to the touch, it is grippy on most surfaces when set down. The case seems to offer protection on par with an Otterbox while feeling better. There's very little added bulk with this case, considering what it's offering in terms of protection.
The case looks good from the back, but I'm not too keen on the white shell peeking around the front edges of the phone (or with how it picks up colors from rubbing on its surroundings). The grey inner shell looks good enough that it's not distracting. Had I purchased the case separately, I would definitely have gone with the black case. But I don't feel strongly enough to buy the black version as a replacement for the white/grey case I already have.
I'm happy with this case and would recommend it.

Received my black Invictus today and it's going back. I'm not impressed. The biggest thing is the cutout at the top left corner the pics on Amazon don't show it but it's there and annoying. The plastic is glossy and looks to scratch easily. The kickstand is just a flap cut out of the back of the case and doesn't snap into place very well. I was expecting a somewhat more premium case. Obviously not high end but better than this.

Today I tried switching back to my Diztronic case because I'm tired of the white/Grey color scheme of the Incipio case. I couldn't do it. I've grown used to the way the Incipio case covers the rear buttons and actually makes them easier to use.
But it turns out that I really do feel strongly enough about the color to have ordered a black version of the Incipio. It should get here in a couple of days. Hopefully it feels the same as this white one.

I really like my incipio dualpro. it's really thin but it's survived a couple drops already. my only complaint is the back is kind of slippery and I could see it slipping out of my hand (hasn't happened yet)
Having used the Slimarmor and the Diztronic TPU, I just recently moved over to the Tech 21 D3O case from Tmobile and I'm loving it.
With the slimarmor I felt it being a bit bulky as well as pretty slick at times. With the diztronic, I didnt feel as if there was enough protection if I were to ever drop the phone.
Looking at the videos of drop tests online for the d3o material, I was sold. The fit is snug, the only bulk added is on the edges where the d3o material is. The textured tpu is nice to hold and doesn't feel slippery, plus I feel much more confident in the event if it were to ever drop on the corners/edges of the phone. For the front face drops, hopefully the Glass M protector I have will take the impact.
Very satisfied with the Tech 21 case and would recommend to anyone looking for slim and protective. They have them in the Tmobile stores so you can definitely try it out first before you buy!
I have the Seidio Surface case and holster. I really like the holster but the case doesn't seem like it gives much protection. Anyone familiar with a case that will give more protection but still fit the holster.? I've tried a couple from Ebay that look slim but protective in the pictures but tend to be pretty bulky in hand. A kickstand would be nice but that's not a deal breaker.
Ballistic SG Shell Gel Protective Case
I used to have a Razr i before my LG G2.
The Razr i was tough by its own and still I had a "trident aegis" case for it, I could throw it meters and was always nice.
G2 seems way more fragile, but the trident series for the G2 are really creepy awful. So with a little research I came across this nice piece of plastic protection the "Ballistic SG Shell Gel Protective Case", checked some youtube videos of drop tests and reviews.
I bought it on ebay today, so now I'm waiting to arrive.
Hopefully its as nice as it looks.

Urban Armor Gear - ICE Case for the S7 Edge

Hey Guys, I have been waiting for this Case to arrive! I have always had my UAG cases as my goto cases for my phones. But as many of you on the forum, I switch cases often. It really depends on what I am doing or where I am going. UAG just started shipping these out. I got the ICE version. It features slim design, light weight and great protection for your phone.. It doesn't bunch up the screen protector either. I don't have a glass version to test but I will report back once my ICAREZ comes in. For now my Supershieldz is holding up nicely. No lifting at all. But I have the dents the film gets.
Here is my review of the product
My favorite cases at this time are the Spigen (Kickstand), Supcase Unicorn beetle, and the UAG.
https://youtu.be/FN7jNrUffvY
Each to their own but it's far too bulky and ugly for me. No point in having a phone that looks as fantastic as this if you're going to change it to something from a 1960s Star Trek episode.
Nice in depth review though.
Really love u uags cases, protected my phone from 4 meters drop! (and of course smaller heights).
It's main disadvantages are it's price (including shipping to my country) and the plastic screws at the back are annoying in my hand.

Can't wait for nine to come in. Shipped from UAG direct in Japan.
I love them. The design on the back provides nice grooves for your fingers to rest in for one handed use.
And maybe it's the military in me, but the tactical look is bad ass. I get complimented all the time with my note 4 and lg v10.

I don't know why you guys are waiting for it. I got mine 3 days ago a small cellphone accessory device. 48$ Canadian. But it doesn't come with a glass protector. I don't thing I will need one since the case itself provide a wide protection for the front panel. I really like it so far.
Can you guys post some pictures of how these translucent ICE cases look after being on the edge for months? I am looking to upgrade my S4 (with black UAG case) to S7edge, and really don't like these translucent ICE cases. I wish UAG would make a black case for S7edge (just for me if not every one else ). I don't like the look when you can see through the case, distorted print/logos on the phone is visible. Also worried about how much crud accumulates under the case and is visible. Also with these translucent cases, there is no second layer of soft rubber protecting the whole phone, just on the corners I think.
Also, how well has the UAG protected your S7edge after many months of use? Better than "Supcase Unicorn Beetle", it seems to be next closest to this "tactical style" that UAG came up with.... and they have black
Thanks in advance!!!!

Best Thin Cases

Has anyone tried some new thin cases? The Note 8 is a slim sexy phone. It sucks to put it in a thick bulky case. Show us what y'all have in thin cases.
I bought these 3
The first one was from Best Buy and I like it alot and its the one I use the most. Nothing fancy just a thin case TPU soft in the hands.
The second one I got off of eBay it's blue with a clear acrylic back. Don't get that one the cut out for the finger print scanner is to small. I cut it out some more to make it work. It's a ok case if you don't mind cutting it yourself.
The third one is from Ghostek it's 40 dollars it has a aluminum frame and a acrylic clear back. It's still a little thick for me but a damn well built case. I did not even use it I am going to sell this one.

Yeah I had one of these on my V20.
I've bought a few cases across the last week.
I personally prefer the thin fit from spigen
It has a nice slightly rubberised hard finish and the case itself keeps the phone feeling nice and thin
Supports spigen screen protector and the awful glass one I've tried... I'm going to plunge and buy the dome glass protector so here's hoping that fits too

Yeah the sides I don't really notice.. Its probably one of only types of case out currently like this, the rest are a little bigger and bulky

I might get on and check it out. Thanks
I have that spigen
case in black I love it I have used that style case on every phone I've had in the last 4 years never had a problem with it

I have the Spigen Liquid Crystal case and it is pretty good.
However the Samsung Clear Cover Case is far superior and you don't even notice it is there
Something about clear cases that I don't like. On the sides it looks weird. I have a clear one but it's just clear on the back the sides are colored.

It fits with dome glass. Just got done installing mine. Lots of room.
I just bought like 3 more cases. When they get in I will tell yall about them. I have never bought as many cases for a phone in my life. I have been using my phone today without a case. Man it feels good to use this phone without a case. But I know one drop its gone. Also if you keep putting it down the back will get scratched up.

Has anyone tried some new thin cases? The Note 8 is a slim sexy phone. It sucks to put it in a thick bulky case. Show us what y'all have in thin cases.

Otterbox symmetry. The best and slim.

Ok here is two more that came in today. Both are so so.
The first on I got off of ebay. They made it sound like the end caps were metal. Which they are not they are cheap looking plastic. But it's ok
The second one I got from Amazon. I like it but don't think it has much drop protection. Thin thin thin.
I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid, I am very happy with it so far. The tpu layer is stiffer than most tpu layers I've used before, which feels nice, and the metal trim, while thin and a bit more pliant than I would prefer, looks great. Fortunately I haven't dropped it, but it feels like it would survive most reasonable falls. It's much thinner than my wife's otter box commuter and only $15 on amazon.
I got the Spigen ultra hybrid crystal clear case, and I live it. Have bought these before, they don't yellow and last a long time. Great for letting my dbrand Dragon skin show !!
