I did that, same issue though. It does say unlocked s of now.
Make sure it is indeed unlocked. If it were me, I'd try reflashing that phone to complete stock and start from the beginning. I carelessly flashed the wrong kernal the other day and my only way out was going back to the beginning and it still took me 2-3 hours to get it back to working.

Follow all those steps to the letter and in order. You're gonna be wiping your phone too, try to get any data off you need first.

I ran into the exact same problem tonight that the OP was having. I followed that advice and when i run the command "fastboot oem lock", it tells me "....INFODevice was already locked!"
I know for a fact this device is unlocked and as I'm looking at hboot right now, I'm S-Off too. Now I have done this a couple of times trying to fix the problem, but even when I reboot to prepare to install the stock RUU, I still get the same white HTC Boot screen that just keeps trying to load but doesn't do anything else. I need some real help here....or maybe I've completely bricked this thing!
Thanks

It won't boot to recovery so I can re-flash my back up rom though. I've tried going into fastboot and locking then unlocking then locking bootloader again and trying to boot regular or into recovery. Nothing works.
I've had that same problem and after hours of searching for an answer I found it and its so easy...Go into fastboot and enter this command..."fastboot erase cache" and then you can get into recovery again

That may work. Or you can try to reflash custom recovery. It sounds like somewhere in jd's process he managed to get stock recovery reinstalled (red triangle with an exlamation point?). If so, you can just use the tool to flash recovery, or grab the recovery.img and fasboot flash it "fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img". Then you'll be able to get back to recovery and flash a backup, or a new ROM

If you flashed the jb_hboot.zip after s-off'ing it would say "JuopunutBear" up top and everything would be fine..

Hi there,
I hope somebody can help me with this.
I have a htc IS S-off, rooted and running with a custom ROM (the mike1986 ROM, which is incredible!!).
Yesterday, my kid took my phone and start "playing" with it and when I´ve realized it, it was to late... He had entered into the recovery (Clockworkmod v3.0.2.6) and deleted some important/ sensitive data (i guess).
The situation is that, now, the phone doesn´t start working. It just stucks in the white screen with the HTC logo.I´m able to enter into the Hboot and, which is more strange, into the Clockworkmod recovery but when I reboot the system it just doesn´t start.
I´ve tried to reflash that ROM and other ROMS, but the result is always the same (Which gives me to the conclusion, speaking from my absolutely ignorance, that it shoudn´t be a ROM problem...).
I´ve also tried to make a "Factory reset", but the result is the same.
Important: When I enter into the recovery, it appears different lines of tex2t informing that: "E: can´t mount cache/ recovery/ command, log & last log. I´ve also browsed in the "advance" options of the recovery, and the system appears always unmount, and it doesn´t allow me to mount it (I don´t know if this is important or not).
Does somebody have an idea about how to fix this problem?
I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with it.
Thank you in advance!
Go to the mounts and storage menu ... format everything except your sdcard and flash mike's rom again ... see if it pops out an error ... should be fixed now ... temme if the recovery says anything wierd ...
Sent from my Incredible S using XDA App
If things dont work out ... here is a last hope-
*take the rom.zip from a RUU
*rename it to PG32DIAG.zip
*mount your sdcard to your pc in CWM recovery from the mounts and storage menu
*paste the zip unto your sdcards root folder
*reboot into bootloader and it will ask you if you want to update ...this will revert to stock and you can start the whole rooting process etc again
Also if you are alpharevx soff ... you will need a goldcard ... but not if your are xtc soff

You cannot install CWM without S-OFF. What else have you done to get your phone in the state it is in.
I have a dincs in the same state. It's stuck in a boot loop and won't do anything. Spent 20 hours trying to fix it and still no luck

On a side note. If he can not do anything with his phone being s-on could he not just wait till later this month and s-off through HTC since that will be an available service very soon?

Ok thanks. Since you have a Bell Mobile IncS, have you tried flashing the official BM GB RUU? That should at least get your phone going and usable.

My Vivid is unlocked, but I wanted to do S-Off to have more flashing capabilities. While going through the S-Off process, I changed my mind and decided not to do the wire trick, so I unplugged the cable. Now the phone just boots up directly to a JuopunutBear screen. Even though I can get to recovery and flash a ROM, when it boots back up it just stays stuck at that same screen. Help! What should I do?
I downloaded the latest Vivid RUU from the HTC website, but it says RUU failed. Can someone please help me get my phone back up, even if it's back to stock? I tried doing the Command controlbear.exe -r and controlbear.exe -f, but it doesn't work. I'm doing it on a different computer than when I first tried to S-Off....Do I have to go back to that original computer? I don't have access to that computer right now. If there's another way (flashing something else through fastboot), please let me know! I would be very thankful for your help!
So, my phone issue is now SOLVED! YES!
Here's what I did:
I first flashed the stock kernel from the HTC Vivid All-In-One Kit (I'm sure there are other ways, but I found this was easier.) Once I did that, I went back and relocked the phone using the same tool (It was unlocked.) After I did that, I flashed the RUU from the HTC website with no issues. I'm finally back to stock!
Hope this works for anyone that has this problem with the Juopunutbear screen stuck because of an unsuccessful S-Off!

The juopunutbear screen allows adb commands, so if you or anyone experiences this issue its as easy as:
adb reboot bootloader ( gives you a chance to install a new recovery in fastboot mode )
Or
adb reboot recovery (if you have an existing wcx recovery)
If you notice you have an s-off already proceed, and if you don't its a good way to get back into the bootloader to flash a signed ph39img.zip Rom without RUU.
In recovery, flash an unsecured boot.img ( which is selectable in dark raiders Rom ), then let your vivid start up normal, reboot to recovery then flash any kernel you wish. If you don't do this in this exact method, you'll get assert failed messages if you try to flash any kernel over the juopunutbear screen, and you'll just bootloop back into the same screen over.
Half the effort with the same great results.

Are you able to get to bootloader?
If you can get to bootloader, then run next command:
fastboot erase cache
**NOTE: Not a 100% sure if the syntax is right, make sure to check if the command is the right one
Then flash a recovery and try to install a rom like Android Revolution or the one that you prefer.
I'm pretty sure that if you run "fastboot erase cache" and install a custom recovery and finally install a customer rom, your phone will boot fine
Sorry my bad. Try flashing RUU.

Hi guys, i was trying to unlock my bootloader, i succesfully got it unlocked, i tried flashing the viper 2.7 rom on it and it didnt work, when i went back into recovery i did a hard reset but somehow i ended up deleting all of the Os's from my phone, i even got the message saying "No OS installed". To make matters worse it also relocked my bootloader, and i cant flash back into recovery. When i powerdown and turn the phone back on im stuck in the same screen in the bootloader, no matter what option i select to try to reboot or flach recovery im kicked back into the bootloader screen with three flags at the top ****Tampered**** ****relocked**** and ****Security Warning*****, I have no idea what to try anymore.

Unlock the bootloader again using hasoon2000 's all-in-one-toolkit and reflash recovery. After reflashing recovery (TWRP), find the ADB Sideload option, and use it to sideload a rom from your computer to the phone.

Hey guys. I just got the HTC Vivid of recent and decided to check out roms. I unlocked my bootloader from HTC dev then i installed Cyanogenmod 10,jumped around a little bit but now i want to go back to the Rogers Rom that came with the phone. On the PC it just keeps showing sending for hours but nothing happens. Then i went back and tried to install the Cyanogenmod 10 back from SD and it install but wont boot. The spinning wheels keeps spinning forever. I dont know what to do as i have tried all ways to work it out. Also on the recovery when i try to wipe it shows some errors like cant mount cache/recovery so on pls help out as i just got this phone and its my only right now.

I think the reason for my bootloop is because i cant get all files from the previous install to wipe of f the cache because i cant mount the cache,is there anyway i could get all the files off? When i try to wipe cache it tells me that files still exist and i dont think the RUU could erase everything either

Like I said I'm new to this so correct me if I'm wrong.
But make sure it's in usb debugging and when you connect the usb, make sure to press the only charge button and OK.
This happened to me a few days ago, it would stay at sending...

It doesnt work. When i boot into recovery with twrp it still shows cannot mount cache and files exists, this means that the cache there maybe residual files from the last install still causing issues. If I could find a way to format the cache with PC and probably build the partitions again i feel it might work but dont know how.
