I recently flashed the CM10 and rebooted it but once it started up, it would get stuck in on the flash screen.
The first time it started up, it showed "Android is updating, optimizing apps" but then it went back to the flash screen and now it's stuck on a loop.
It starts up with the one LG logo, shows two LG logos, the splash screen, then "Android is upgrading, starting apps"
I can't go into recovery or hard reset. I can go to the the S/W Upgrade screen.
I only know the basics of flashing roms and I am starting to freak out, I have t.ied to enter recovery or hard reset 20+ times and it isn't working and I don't know what to do.

Click to collapse
try the NVFlash ROM from Stefan or Homero....this will unbrick (bricking a LG 990 is quite impossible) and bring back life
Hope it helps

Hi - need some advice on my Galaxy Ace S5830T.
For some history, I rooted it a year ago and installed clockwork mod recovery. Apart from loading a few apps that need root privelage I haven't done much to it, ie has standard rom etc.
The other day a couple of applications came up with the 'Force Close' Screen (internet, facebook). Normally I just click on OK and everything is fine, but whenever I ran either app I got a force close error straight away. Used my app killer to shut down everything running, still had same problem.
Switched phone off and went to reboot, now it displays initial "samsung" screen with web address, flashes the Telstra logo in a few colours, displays "samsung" in the glowing letters, then hangs for a while. Goes back to Telstra logo and repeats.
I can boot into recovery mode. I tried restoring the boot partition from a backup I made before rooting, but it made no difference.
I've tried wip;e data/factory reset, wiping cache, and restoring the image, but it's still stuck in the boot loop.
The fact that I can boot into recovery means, I assume, that the hardware is still all functional, so can anyone advise what to try from here?
Thanks.
I got my moto x today, updated it right away to lollipop, then went to work unlocking the bootloader, rooting, and installing TWRP.
All worked great, and then i went into TWRP to do a factory reset so that I could have the setup wizard when i turned my phone back on to set it up.
well after I did a factory wipe in TWRP (now i am thinking maybe i also checked to wipe system as well, but im not positive).
after the factory reset my device boots to the boot screen, and stops on the blue m logo at the end.
So i flashed the stock kitkat images using mfastboot, and it boots to the boot screen and then shuts off, doesnt even hang at the end anymore.
What are my options/ what the hell did i do?
Hi guys, I'll try to explain my problem:
My Milestone has been running the rom "cm-7.2.4e-umts_sholes" since two years without issues... until a few days ago: aleatory restarts and freezes. Yesterday, I turned it on and was stuck on "M" logo. Several restarts later, it shows the "2ndBoot - Kernel Restart in progress" logo and nothing else.
I tried to reflash the rom and encountered some issues:
Bootloader 90.73, I flashed the vulnerable recovery "vulnerable_recovery_only_RAMDLD90_78.sbf" and enter in recovery stock. When I tried to run the "OpenRecovery_2ndbootOR_v1_2" the OR doesn't start at all. Black screen, restarts and recovery stock again. Only the "OpenRecovery_v1_46_SHOLS_inkl_ext_mmcfix_parted_update" does the trick and starts the OR with red letters. After all the obligatory wipes, applied update from "cm-7.2.4e-umts_sholes" and then reboot system. And the same "M" stuck or "2ndboot" stuck screen. I tried wipes again, but no results.
So, I tried to go back to an earlier version and installed "SHLA_U2_02.02.0_USASHLSPERARLA017.0R_USASHLSPERARLAT_P037_A015_HWp2a_1FF" with RDSLite. It boots up Android BUT the touchscreen not works at all, even with several reboots. Tried to reflash Cyanogenmod from here, but the same issues above listed appears.
I really going crazy with this... Did I make some mistake at any point? Must I reflash the bootloader 90.73 if I found it? (besides all the webs containing all the .sbf's and bootloaders appears to be offline by now).
Any solution/advice you can give me please?
Thanks in advance and sorry my english, isn't my first language.
Hi everyone.
I've android 6 stock (xt1068), and today i woke up and it doesn't work
I try to install the twrp and then to flash rom, ecc, but after that i install the twrp succesfully, when i go in the recovery i see that there is no twrp but the main stock recovery. This thing basically appens with everything that i install/wipe, infact the bootloader tells me that my action worked, but it didn't.
Another thing is that if i let my phone boot up, after the boot animation it tells me 'Starting Android', then this text go out, and for a second the boot animation appears again, after that all the screen goes black. (The phone is not closed, but it is showing black in the screen, i think you got it)
Thank you
Today I had to reboot my device and now my touchpad is stuck on the boot screen (the spinning logo). I used Clockworkmod to clear the cache and dalvik cache, but it doesn't seem to have done anything?
Sometimes I'll see the Android is Updating/Optimizing apps screen, but it'll stop and go back to the spinning logo boot screen.
If I leave it running for a long time, will it boot into the system? Is there anything I can do to recover the system? I'd like to avoid deleting everything if I can.
Edit: after 10 minutes or so it booted into the system but then it immediately restarted and went back to the spinning logo again...
Thanks.
A bit of an update. I restored an old backup I happened to have and it worked... up until the tablet started to update itself. At some point, it rebooted and was stuck on the boot screen again, so I am assuming that some update is causing the problem.
Is this fixable or should I just move to a different ROM at this point?
