i have the original charger for S5830i ,it's 5V with 700ma ,it take 2:45 hr or 3 hr
i test the car charger with 5V with 1.2 A ,it charge it around 1:45 hr
the question here , i have a wall charger 5V with 2 A USB port ,i didn't test it yet, will it charge my Galaxy Ace S5380i without damage the board
is it ok guys or not?
it will be great to charge in 1 hr
Wall charger is the best way to charge the phone....even if it takes time.....it charges the fone with the correct voltage.....if you go for any fast charging techniques ....you'll only end up harming your own battery and its lifecycle.

not always charge with this 2 Ampere but when i'm in hurry only
now i understand it will harm the battery
my question is ,does it harm the Mobile Device or the board? if i charge the 5V with 2 Ampere?

The battery (and the circuit) is meant to get charged at 5V with 500~1500 mA or 0.5~1.5 A.
2 Ampere will harm the battery (and the circuit too a little bit).

Max 1.5 A
So i'll buy the charges that give only 1 A or 1.5 A max
now i have 1.2 A for my car usb charger
i'll buy wall usb charger for 1.5 A max
thanks everyone for the information you send
Guys, does charging at laptop or pc harm the batteries?
i have Multimeter
i run a test of the USB of my laptop which is 500 mA max ,the volt out is 5.07 and the Ampere while the device charging is 0.51 mA
and the battery was 30% Battery
another Test on my Car Charger with 1.2 A max , the volt out is 5.16 and the ampere while the device charging is 0.65 mA
and the battery was 30%
next time i'll test on the wall charger 5V and 700mA max ,i'll post my test soon
from my test i find out that our Device S5830i only takes 0.65 mA max and 5 V max
so we can put it any mA but it only take 0.65 mA for what it need .
it will not damage the battery or the device cause may be there is smart charging or sensor inside our board to Protecting our Device from over charge
for example when it was 90%-99% the ampere was 0.10 ma on both the usb port laptop and usb car charger
this is good for our battery and Device board in my opinion
ppl who know more about charging and stuff like this
i want all to give there feed back to US all ,so we can know the knowledge and share it to Us all
thank you all
i have test the orginal charge 700mA which show me while charging the battery it give me 510 mA charging and it takes 2 hrs and half
next i'll try the charging of my car which give 1200 mA ,it charge only in 1 hr and 45 min
let's see and i'll post it soon
Best is battery charger
GUYS i am definately sure it will not harm battery as i am charging my battery with this charger since august and my battery is working awesome and its only disadvantage is i have to take out the battery everytime.

Use a charger with more power....an iPad charger provides 2a current nd 10 watts power...it should reduce charging time...while the one with the note gives 1a....

Using a PC port? Computer USB ports only output 100 ma. We have a 2500 mah battery. So you're looking at at least 25 hours for a full charge.

As far as I know, according to USB specs, it should have 500mA. (5 hours charging time).
I believe that there is a charger provided with the Note that is at least 1000mA.

And the note Suport that charger?
That's right, yesterday i ler it charging while doing a benchmark, in the pc it loses 2% and hardly came to the same Power that before. Out in the samsung charger it's much master, i dont have lose any power at all.
Use a more powerful charger.

Any USB charger that plugs into a wall should output much more power, generally up to one amp. Any USB charger should work.
I use the one that came with my mytouch 4g because it is tiny.
My iPad charger outputs 2.1A, the Samsung charger only outputs 1A. Since the Note's battery is only 2.5A, it will be fully charged within 1 hr and 12 mins with the iPad charger. Using the standard Samsung charger it will take 2 hr and 20 mins.
Using an USB-port it would take you approximately 25 hours since the USB-port only outputs 0.1A. There is no way to draw more power from this port, since it's the 'safe' limit of the USB-circuitry.
thanks i have buy it today, and now i am going to test it.
Later i will give you a feedback
After 1:30 Min is about 50%, do you think the 2,1 amp's aren't being used?

It's not - but you really wouldn't want to charge that fast. It's not good for the battery.

Should be OK. My phone usually takes 3 hours to charge as well.
thanks, i tough that the phone has some problem.
2500mAh/1000mA = 2.5Hrs.
But I think the charge curve for lithium batteries isn't linear, the amount of juice near the end is reduced by the controller, so all in all 3hrs for an almost drained battery seems reasonable.
Hello to all.
my battery charge to 50% in 7 minutes. after reboot, battery indicator show me 38%.
is it normal?
Battery: 3.7V 1200mA
i am using charger from huawei u8180 (3.7V and 1200mA)
my original phone charger output 5V and 0.7mA, but when i plug in to my device, touchscreen not working.
when i'm using data conection (3g), battery discharge 3-5% every 20-30 secs.
can be problem in my battery? i need to buy a new one, or i need a new charger?

Well, the phone charges fast with the huawei charger since it is a fast charger.. 1700 mA compared to 700mA of the original.. the original charger seems to be broken though. Battery drop with 3g is quite normal. You can't do anything with it.. here's a tip, when you charge, check Status in About Phone.. if it says 100% but still charging, do not unplug. Only unplug charger when it says Full.

Absolutely not.
No it's not normal, mine takes only 2.5 or 3 hours, using the Samsung charger
Are you plugged into the wall socket or USB port ?
Cuz charging via USB or using extended cable increases the time considerably
If you charged over PC USB, it`s ok.
Otherwise test another akku or send it back.
if i use samsung charger and all notifcations is off it take 6 hours
i found the official samsung charger slowed down less than a month of having it so reverted to my htc charger and no issues at all
It depends on the charger u r using...

Normal charging for me takes about 2 hours from 10% - 100% using official samsung charger on a wall outlet. Definitely should not take even 4 hours for a complete charge. ^^
Usually charges in 3-4 hours using stock charger. You can kind of estimate the time since the stock charger can output 1000 mah, and battery capacity is 2500 mah.
I did find it strange that it took very long to charge yesterday after I upgraded to stock ICS. I think the phone is kind of like throttling the charge rate. Probably good for the battery, but can't say for sure what's happening yet.
i have samsung ace like you guys ,i read on the wall charger that it's 0.7 A ,and it takes 2 hrs to full charge approx
if i charged it on usb ,as the USB give 0.5 A only ,so it charge slower than the wall ,so it will take more than 2 hrs
i found a car charges give 1 A ,so if i charge by it , here is my 4 questions :
will it take less than 2 hrs to charge by 1 Ampere?
will the battery life goes low?
will the battery can handle the charger of 1 Ampere?
what is max Ampere that the battery can handle?
Well you could try it out on your own..If you are sure that it is compatible with Ace
This line is dedicated to OT thanks.RIP OT Thanks

Hi there, I just wanted to try something...
I see that my Z3C charges very slow with the original UK charger. It charges 800mah every sec9nd. So I tried with the iPad charger and it is still the same.. maybe abit lower, at 600mah. what is going on? it takes almost 3-3.5 ahours to charge this phone... seriouslly? Sometimes I forget to charge it overnight and chargin it at day is like charging though a USB port...

Maths.
2600 mAh battery.
800 mA charger.
2600/800 = 3.25 or 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Today, I don't think this phone can accept anything like 2A charger (don't really know) . Else, it would take 1.3h or 1 hour and 18 minutes.
Get a 2A charger, disconnect every electrical equipment and charge your phone.

But this is strange....If the stock charger says it gives 1.5A, then why is it charging so much slower? at 600 or 800 mah? thats like USB pc speed... Isnt this device supported for quick charge 2.0? I may be able to buy a quick charge capable charger so it charges faster? any solution?

Yes Quickcharging will improve charging time. But as stated above it also depends if you use your phone in the meantime and its idel consumption. The fastest charging time will be if you turn of your phone and then start charging.

WOW, 1.5 hours, thats just impossible for me. I wonder what is going on... I will check on cooltool
Turn off and charge your phone, and check how fast its charging, mine takes about 1.45hrs with 1.5A factory charger.
Guys I bought a supposed quick charger for my Sony Z3C. When it arrived i read the specs on it and they were 5V 2A. Is it safe to use with my Z3C? If so will it actually make charging quicker?
cheers
It sure is safe (and quick), charge on
so is the stock charger charging at what? it says 1.5A; 800 or as stated 1.5?
