I have installed the CM10 of Cyanogenmod but I did not thought I would ever say this; I would like to go back to a stock Sony ROM. I miss the keyboard, the wifi-on-location, the Album app of Sony and more.
Is it possible to flash back to a stock Sony ROM and if yes, how do I do this? I think it would be simple since I have recovery installed of course. And, I live in the Netherlands, which shall I pick to restore?
I have tried with PC Companion but this says I cannot update it anymore. Probably because of the boot.img of CM10?
Thanks in advance!!!

Just flash a stock FTF from your region. Or restore the backup you made before flashing cm10 (You did make a backup didnt you!)
Or flash any stock based kernel for your device and any stock based rom.

No I did not make a backup.... I thought PC Companion would just work fine for restoring. I will flash a FTF. Does it need to be a ROM from my region. And can I do so without flashing a kernel first?
Sh*t I feel stupid now....

No, you can pick any ftf for your phone, but one for your region will be best. No you dont need a kernel as that will be included inthe ftf.
You wont be able to use PCCOmpanion anymore as you have unlocked the bootloader.

Thanks for all your help. I have downloaded the LT30p_7.0.A.3.195_Vodafone.ftf and placed in my Firmwares folder. When I start the flashtool, the source folder is correct, but the FTF is not displayed. How is this possible?
Don't worry, it is there. That dialogue box just confirms the folder, when you click ok the ftf's that are in that filler are displayed in flashtool
Or you can just drag and drop it into the open window of flashtool.
You will not be able to update from PC companion again because you have unlocked your bootloader

No. Unlocked bootleggers won't receive official updates. However you will still be able to download the files then create your own ftf with the help of the instructions in the ask in one thread.
If not, then people will upload updated ftf's that you can flash
And no need to say thanks, just hit the button if you feel the need to thank someone

Hey,
in latest firmware there is a update to S1Boot (to Version R10A21). I think most users who DONT USE PCC/SEUS will not have the update because Flashtool does not decrypt it correctly.
I packed it up into German Firmware, so if you are interested you can flash this Firmware and then just reflash ANY OTHER Firmware if you dont want to stay on German one. After S1Boot got updated it will stay updated no matter what Firmware you flash afterwards, becasue normally it is not included.
File can be downloaded here from my Firmware collection, directlink to Xperia T folder:

Hi Binary, Can I confirm that I can backup my current stock rom (7.0.A.3.195) using CWM recovery (advanced kernel v4), then flash this for S1 update, then (correct me if I am wrong please!) re-flash kernel and then restore rom via CWM: resulting in being back to my current rom but with S1 Boot update.
Also just check that I should use "Generic DE (S1Boot-Update).ftf" - is this the one you refer to in the OP.?
Thanks for your patience
I updated via PCCompanion and my boot is
R10A118
WHich "latest" version did you get the new boot from? And what is new in it?
Mine is R10A121 and it was flashed with Flashtool.

It is included inside the SEUS files for the 195 Version, but "problem" is that we need to update Flashtool so that it decrypts the File correctly. For now we only added the "alternate" decryption for Loader, now S1Boot seems to be updated too Which is quite good, maybe they add features in future like button for recovery

Do your PCC Files are 3 or 4 Files? If your firmware includes the S1Boot update then it should be 4 Files!!
IT CAN BE that the branding firmwares does NOT include the S1Boot update, maybe that is the reason

Check my second edit above, i do get that file now.
But guess what, (Like a noob) i forgot i cant use pccompanion anymore because of unlocked bootloader..D'oh
Anyway, any chance of instructions on how to manually decrypt it (Probably nothing simple) or if I send you the files can you incoorporate them into my .ftf so I can flash it?
I canthen also add a branded vodafobe version with the new boot to the ftf list.

Difficulty
Easy
Time taken
I did it in less than 10 minutes
1. Download one of the .ftf's from the OP that have the s1 boot update in title.
2. make a backup of your current rom
3. Download, install and set up flashtool. (Link in the all in one thread)
4. Drag and drop the .ftf into the open window of flashtool.
5. Tick all the boxes that say exclude except the one that says exclude uncategorized Check the attached image
6. Flash the .ftf following flashtool instructions
7. Reboot phone and check your s1 boot version, it should now be updated
8. Reboot into recovery and restore your backup.
9. You are now on the latest s1 boot with the same rom you had before.
EDIT
Alternative Method.
Flash this LT30_7.0.A.3.195_Generic DE (S1Boot-ONLY).ftf - 725.46 KB
(N.B. It is reported to relock your bootloader, just unlock it again if thats the case, info taken from this post)

Hey everyone,
I know that there is an update to JB for the Xperia T a while now, and I just got my Xperia T today. So I wanted to update, but the PC Companion says it is already up to date. But when I look up the system details it says Android 4.0.4 and Build 7.0.A.3.226. Is this some kind of branded build?
I got the phone at the MWC directly from Sony, so no provider should have branded it.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

If you really want the update, you can do it manually with flashtool. Maybe the update is not available to your region yet?
Do I need to open the bootloader for that? I don't want the update so badly, but I thought it should be available for a month... so, wtf?
I'm not pretty sure to which region it belongs since it was a gift from Sony.

My bad
I received my Xperia T (LT30) in December with (what I believe to be) ICS 4.0.4. The other day (5/31/13), I updated my phone to jellybean. I absolutely hate the new update and want to restore my phone to ICS 4.0.4. I want to remove all traces of jellybean from my phone. How do I go about undoing or replacing the jellybean software with ICS 4.0.4? Do I need to root my phone? I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to restore my phone to its prior firmware. I tried using flashtool and firmware to restore my phone. It failed to remove all aspects of jellybean. Please link me to the appropriate links for what I need to restore my phone. Thank you in advance for any advice or links. It's greatly appreciated.
I can't really help you but I'm curious why you hate jelly bean so much?

It didn't remove jeallybean walkman, album, movies, the home screen ui, themes, icons, essntially the entire ui of jellybean was still functioning. I tried a stock ICS FTF and it didn't seem to work. Is there a more current version of ICS 4.0.4 I 'm unaware of? Ideally, I want to completely restore ICS ui and functionality: walkman, album, themes, home screen, etc.

If you want ICS then flashing a stock ICS ftf will do that. It will change everything you want.
Of course you must do it correctly. Make sure you are including the wipe data check box.

There are a lot of ICS ftf's in the all in one thread, which is the first thread in this section.

I see what you mean. When I use flashtool, I don't have a prompt to check wipe data/ I am using it on a pc using xp if that matters. I am using the latest version of flashtool as well. no,
when you drop the ftf into the open window of flashtool you should get a pop up window like the one in the attachment.
In the top right you see a box saying wipe
When you put in a ftf you will get an option in there saying data. Make sure it is checked and you are flashing a ICS ftf. In fact just tick everything in that box and then you will end up with a phone like out of the box
If it doesn't work you are doing something wrong.

I understand what you are saying. The flashtool I was using wasn't giving me the option to check any box. I downloaded an earlier version (0.8 series) and I was able to check a box. However, I am receiving a message saying, "error preparing files" Does this relate to drivers or the ftf being out of date or something else?
You need to download the latest version of flashtool, that's the one I am using in that image.
Then goto the all in one thread and download the same ftf I have in that image.
It's the first ftf in the .195 series of ftf's files and is found by following the links in post 3 of the all in one thread.
Flash that and tell me what flashtool says, because I just flashed that successfully on my T.

The previous attempts I made to flash, I couldn't select any box. The boxes on the right were grayed out. I was using flashtool v0.9.10.1 found on androxyde.github.io. I'm assuming this is the latest flashtool. When I tried an older version of flashtool (0.8.6), I was able to select boxes to wipe data. I'm downloading the file you mentioned now. Could the fact I was using a different file be the reason I couldn't select a box in the 0.9.10.1 flashtool?

Everything should work fine on all FTFS
It looks like you had a dodgy download of the original ftf.
Has it now worked for you?

I'm using the latest flashool and the ftf you suggested. I'm not seeing a prompt to select any boxes in flashtool. I can't select wipe data or anything for that matter.
I unlocked bootloader of my device this morning. Backed up TA as mentioned in forums, Flashed Doomlord's kernel v9 but device won't boot. Says Process System is Not Responding.. I relocked bootloader restored TA, Restored Using SUS, Flashtool but no luck.
Then I flashed old firmware and booted the device but still one problem. IMEI, Baseband all gone..
Help me plz

What do you mean "Which SUS" ? THE SUS? http://software.sonymobile.com/update_service_setup
Find any 434 firmware(but not UK unbranded ) and flash it with flashtool than boot your phone, after that use sus(sony update service) sure it will find a new software.

I flashed .307 Belgium as it was one I already had. Everything was working well however I had no Baseband and therefore no Signal and the phone wouldn't recognise my SIM card.
I then used SUS to update it and I am back to the same boot-loop as before.
Any ideas? Maybe I need to fix Baseband before updating but have no clue how to do that?

Hey bro I finally figured it out!! So after thinking about and wondering why baseband isn't working I realised it is because of missing IMEI.
Then I thought where would IMEI be stored; IN THE TA PARTITION!!
So what I did was:
1. Flash Belgium .307 with Flashtool.
2. Setup phone normally so that it is usable. Turn on USB Debugging and Unknown Sources.
3. Then get DoomLords Root Toolkit; Plug in phone normally while it is on and run the kit so that it Roots the phone.
4. After that restarts make sure you have Super SU and it is working.
5. Connect to Flashtool while the phone is on and it will automatically run through the phone and tell you all the details of the phone and Busybox and Root Access Allowed and stuff.
6. Once all is well and you know phone is Rooted and stuff; close Flashtool and open Backup TA.
7. Then simply Restore your TA partition.
8. Reboot and check your Baseband Version and IMEI number are present and correct.
9. All should be working now; Really hope it works out for you too!
I will be trying to update and see what that leads to.
If you need links to any of the above stuff let me know. Will be glad to help you out.
Great ..!! u managed to get the baseband and IMEI back?

I have some old old version I guess but it is the only one that has never given me problems in backing up and restoring so long as my phone is rooted and busybox is installed. It has no version number or anything, its a really simple batch file.
I can pack it in a zip and sent it to you somehow if you need?

Don't restore using some else's TA partition, it has to be the original one for you phone. Another user tried this and it totally bricked the phone.
So i swapped this phone for my HTC One with a buddy of mine, and he had this 4.2.2 rom installed on it. He kind of told me what i needed in order to flash a rom. He said I need TFT and the rom file.
Well last night he was able to help me install TWRP recover with an XDA app that is floating around, he then told me that I can simply flash a locked bootloader from there, no Gapps or anything else needed.
So I did that, but now my wifi is not working and my Google account is not syncing, and I have no option to have it synced. So i asked the rom thread and was told that now i need to flash a certain kernel in order for my wifi to work again.
Coming from a regular flash and ready phone this seems like a headache to do each time i flash a rom. Last night i had made up my mind that i was going back to the HTC or possibly the S4. But now this phone is growing on me, i actually am starting to like it a lot!
My question is this, is there any rom out there that i can flash that will have everything working out of the box or do i ALWAYS need this TFt tool thing in order for my phone to work properly?
Please dont flame me and reply only if you can help me.
First, your friend might has done something wrong with your phone, although the TWRP seems working fine.
Second, figure out what your friend has done, in detail. So you know exactly the steps.
Third, look for a thread titled like "Xperia Z resources thread ... " learn everything from it so you can get basic knowledge about your XZ. Then analyze your problem based on the information of what your friend has done to your phone. In this step, you should have figured out what's wrong quickly and do something about it.
Answer for your question : flash stock firmware. Look for. 244 ftf file. Stock firmware always have everything working.

Thanks for the quick reply bro, can I flash this through TWRP or what do you recommend? I know that TWRP is working properly, but from what I reading i will always need some tft file ...I just want my phone to work like it should. Is there a ROM that you recommend? I am currently on monxDified.
I recommend a clean flash using flashtool and then flash your desired ROM. Monxdified is quite awesome. To get rid of all your problems, I recommend a clean install of your favorite ROM and kernel. Are you willing to do that? Because it will take some time to finish.

Yes I am willing to, so download the rom zip, and .244 kernel and flash the rom first then the kernel through tft correct?
By the way where can I get that kernel? I have been looking for it...
Hi, I suggest you read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38122227, then you'll be able to choose any ROM you like.

Thanks bud i read throuhg this now and located what I needed...kinda. I am told that I need kernel 244, and that i need tft to do this, yet in this guid it indicates that I can use recovery method to flash a kernel..
CUSTOM KERNELS ARE SPECIFIC TO ROMs...
you cant use stock kernel on CM ROM and you cant use CM kernel on stock ROM....
there are two ways to flash custom kernel
first download the kernel file... if it is a boot.img then use Method 1 (fastboot mode) or if its a update.zip file then use Method 2 (recovery)
See how this is confusing .....so is there such a thing as a 244 kernel zip file?

Hi.
First of all it's an .ftf file you need not TFT, and did he say the bootloader is unlocked or that you can do it if you want? You can flash certain ROMs on a locked bootloader but not all, so I would clarify if it is or it isn't. Flash a full stock ftf for now and go from there, it will be better off in the long run.
