I'm sharing the Nandroid backup I got from the v30b Stock ROM of France posted by xonar here.
Whats included in this nandroid
1. Stock ROM - v 30b France (still odexed)
2. Stock Locked Boot Image / Kernel - v 30b France
3. Stock Recovery - v 30b France
4. Rooted - using Unlockroot
5. Added Online Nandroid Backup application - this can be used to backup your ROM even if you don't boot in Recovery.
To recover your NANDROID created by Online Nandroid Backup app, you must first install a custom recovery. To do this, flash any v20 with CWM Recovery using SFT.
How to use:
Use custom recovery, such as CWM Recovery, choose restore. And you are good to go.
CAUTION! - Using this Nandroid backup will overwrite your custom recovery with stock recovery.
Download : V30B_NANDROID.zip - 341.12 MB
thanks but whats the idea of it , just to avoid flashing with sft ?
If you hate SFT. Use this.

I think i can tell you why... you all have a v20 bootloader after the flash, but to be able to use this ROM, you ll need v30b bootloader... you could extract it from the bin image, add it to the .zip, extract it to the proper partition on the phone and it should work.
BUT! Dont do it please. You risk to permanently brick your device...!

Not using SFT will not change your bootloader, as mentioned by nooby. Unless we can use another method.

"Not using SFT will not change your bootloader, as mentioned by nooby. Unless we can use another method."
This means if I install this zip file, I will still have CWm even if I instal this ICS zip so I will be able to use it for flashing ZIPs?
Cheers

Yes you misundersrood, but a lot ppl did, there is no locked bootloader. The new ICS kernel seams to have a check in it, so eather use a different kernel or recompile the kernel without that check (I think that is what nooby did).
Correct me if I'm wrong, that is just what I think, but it works on my P970 so it might be right.

can anybody please xplain me....
what are the benefits of rooting my GTN-7000..

thanx in advance.......
You can do all the stuffs which you cant do on unroot.like mods(call recording, power and volume key press click photo) can change user interface.increase speed of your processor.increase your ram.and much more.root means that your phone is in totally in your hand.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
You can remove the unnecessary bloatware by which your ram usage decreases, you can flash custom roms of your choice, particularly in our note we have a bug(emmc), you can get rid of it by flashing custom kernals which are safe, you can overclock or underclock your processor, you can avoid all kinds of adds by installing an app like adfree
I installed beats audio drivers which is possible only because of root
Now i have transparent accuweather widget
U can use custom boot animations.
Hit thanks if i helped

and If you are on the latest ICS, you may flash Philz Kernel direct from stock recovery.
You will get root with SuperSU installed + CWM Recovery v6 direct + don't forget it's a safe kernel to do wipe data (eMMC brick bug removed).
Philz Kernel is a modded stock ROM with those 3 benefits, all credits go to him for his great work.
The easiest way to root your device.
BUT....
Find the suitable firmware you are on now at your device. Don't flash the wrong kernel.
Good Luck again!

Hi all !
On the new ROM (v20C) was found that there is Three-Button Recovery mode.
Hold down the G + Volume Up + Power Button and so enter this mode.
And G + Volume down + Power Button - reset settings.
:good:
What does it do..? I Just got A message Like in screenshot and nothing happened...
The fact that we were able to enter the mode Retsovery means that unlocked bootloader.
With this mode, you can install any firmware and kernel without fearing the consequences. You need to choose software for this. Need help developers.
You have adb root if I'm not mistaken. ( adbd i started as root in script in official recovery image)
Maybe the security error comes from incompatibility of how recovery is started.
Oh boy, if only I had that 1 year ago.
Fine...

Hello,
This is what I'm currently running on the attachment and I have a rooted phone with SuperSU and CWRM (Philz). I was wondering if I am able to flash this rom safely:

What kernel are you on? Did you install philz kernel? If not then first flash a safe kernel like philz or speed mod or hydracore. Then you are good to go.

OP: the reason you are getting so many answers is because no one including you is sure if you have Philz kernel or are you on stock..
to make sure you have philz kernel.. boot into recovery (vol up+power+home).. if you see Philz CWM without having to install anything ..then you have the kernel.. if not flash a safe kernel

The reason here (and in many other threads) in getting so many answers is: some members only repeat what has been said before. It feels like these people want to raise their post counters by force - I assume they need a minimum of posts and thanks for a "recognized" in their profile.

OK there are some steps to take. Start by following this tutorial to get to GB boot loaders. From there you should be able to flash to whatever ROM you like. Be warned though when flashing to anything jellybean the partition layout changes which will result in you being in a boot loop. Just get back into recovery and flash the jellybean ROM again and all should be good.
