As we've knew, Alex-V has succeeded in porting Sense 4 Lite of the HTC One V Base to SXL. So I created a support thread for ones who have problems, bug reports, questions, etc...
Up-To-Date version: Still under construction, but there's a zip file for everyone to flash and report bugs
Link to the Original ROM thread: Click Here
Known Issues:
*Wifi
*Camera preview screen (camera works)
*Audio
*USB Mounting
*Bluetooth (?)

Is that it
Are there any solutions to those problems. It's nice to finally have sense 4.0 Rom, but why this thread if no one discuss it. I have read that some of you devs managed to get WiFi and sound working,if that's true why not update that One V Rom so we can test it. On DHD forum theirs Sense 4.0 Rom is almost complete, how com. Thanks for answers
Well we are working on it, yes we have sound working courtesy of Ben, but we still have 'No Mic, WiFi or Camera'. But as there is 2 people already that have bricked their devices working on this (one of those is recognised developer Alex) we are being careful with our devices... we will update as and when we have made any progress....
I'm really looking forward to this. I keep checking the tread every 5 minutes to see what's happening, It's good to see development on this phone picking up, thanks everyone that's making it possible.
I'm also looking forward to this ROM getting "usable"
Keep going guys
I would like to thank all those who contributed to this. I fixed Bluetooth now and we will try Repair everything and will make this ROM full by any means possible.
thank you for everybody

Could anybody please guide me how to port kernal from rom to another rom.
I have a problem in my mic "it is working with the origianl rom very well, but with some of the ported roms, it is making my voice like a machine during a voice call",
so, i need to port the kernal and drivers which are included in the official ICS update to sense 4.0 rom. to enable myself and all peaple suffering from the same issue.

You can not port the kernel as there has been no source code released yet. And you can not port the drivers because they are for diffrent h/w.

thanks for your reply,
is there anyway to solve the mic problem for my device.
The mic fix for this rom was taken from the only source that was available at the time which was the zombie rom, so to be honest I don't think you're gonna get a better mic fix until full ics sources are released....

How hard would it be to port this to the Vivid after obtaining permission from the devs? I see Inquisition has been ported over and is looking quite good.
I know Sense 4 is causing issues but is this the only difficult problem to overcome? Or the RIL? Or are these combined?

Once we get a working AOSP base, porting will be more easy.

I'm not so sure that's going to affect anything, since Sensation ports are already being handled with relative ease due to the Sense-based ROM -> Sense-based ROM idea. AOSP will help to port completely diverse images like CM9 and AOKP,
It has been mentioned before the sense 4 works perfectly except for ril. Asop will not help advance this since the framework is completely different. Our ril needs to be manual programmed into the smali code in framework.

Hello developers will be possible that our Sense HTC Wildfire may have ICS?
Porting sense 4 from the original desire C ruu: Not possible
Porting it from other ARMv6 devices: Possible.
I know the hero and WFS have both got it booting. So if you want to investigate into porting it. Go ahead.
I think that the phone name is desire c.... However our best bet is to wait for a port to an arm6 device (there is a work in progress in wildfire s forum) because desire c is arm7 and a port would be very difficult..

I think it was going to be called the Wildfire C, but then HTC renamed it to the Desire C. To make it seem like a premium device on a budget. (I guess). The WFS thread is a mess of flaming and trolling, and its been closed. So any updates won't be going on there. Although, someone managed to shrink the RUU down enough to fit the WFS partition sizes.

Nothing is impossible, that's how we've got sense 2.1, sense 3.5, gingerbread and ICS on our phone. Once it gets ported to another ARMv6 device, we can work from there.

somebody check it ruu?
Hi all,
The thread was locked indeed but we are now discussing the ROM on the leaked ruu thread. We have it booting to boot animation however audio/power is causing dalvik to fail, and causes a bootloop.
You could always look at our github to see what we have changed/added/improved/fixed. We will be doing this for the marvel (Wildfire S) and as soon as it boots we will inform you asap.
We are looking for a bit of help so if you see something obvious that we have missed then send us a pull request over github.

how we can run this without a kernel 3?
someone should port drivers or create them
and this phone is too old,i think noone will do something like this
it s too difficult
just think this: desire s has a kernel 3 and sense 4 is working fine, but it has A LOT OF problems(crash,freeze,semi-functionl things)
i don t think our phone can support it with sense,we at least should have a fully working cm9 first
i think

I've been following the thread in the WFS dev section. Will replacing libs from sense 4.0 with CM9/AOSP Libs solve any issues. Or have you already tried that? Could it be a conflict between Beats Audio and the power management driver? Would you have to sacrifice beats to get it working?

Yeah we have replaced the libs, and yes we may have to sacrifice beats audio, although we could also used modified beats libs that were ported to AOSP, but i'm not sure that would integrate it with the onboard beats on/off system :/
Even if we were able to make this possible for our device, it would be unbearably laggy and slow. In my opinion its not worth doing it although its not bad trying. My opinion

It depends. While ICS can suffer from some slowdown on our device (Atleast at stock clockspeed). It is still usable and can still perform well. As we've seen with Sense 2.1 Gingerbread on the wildfire. It is very fast. And I mean, as fast as stock froyo sense. Which is nothing like CM7 is. So maybe Sense 4 will be even fast and optimized?
Sense 2.1 is not fully working
And ics need a kernel 3
And we don t have enought ram to run this
so it work or don't work?

You don't need a 3.x kernel to run ICS at all.

you need it for fully working camera, wifi tether, hotspot, bluethoot and stability
anyway as i said we need more ram, wildfire c has at least 450 mb aviable

Well. Clearly we don't. Because we have ICS with Camera, Bluetooth, WiFi-Tethering working on a 2.6 kernel. Besides, we can use MTD partitions if we don't have enough for the rom. Because we have 512mb of rom. So we can allocate that with MTD partitions.

Agreed with Justice, the kernel is NOT the issue here, it's simply getting the correct patches to interface the software with the older chipset and HAL, or so I think?

Not to sound rude but to open a new thread in the development section to ask such a question is just not right. Please post such questions in the general section.
We do not have that many devs working on incredible s as it is a relatively old device. If someone manges to develop an ion kernel and port sense 5 you will see it in the dev section.
Quite fortunate to get a few working jellybean aosp ROMs and quite a few sense 4.1 ROMs for a device that has no more support from htc so enjoy those and be happy.
@ moderator can this thread please be closed or moved to the general section?

-_- what do u mean kernel...... The kernel is still a jellybean kernel, just modified to be compatible with Sense. Although I dont know how to do it, Im sure it might be possible for someone like Szeszo to develop such a kernel. The only problem is that it requires a ton of work and I dont think Szeszo has that much time..... Not to mention resizing of the actual ROM.....

its got something to do with a thing called ION within the kernel.
apparently our phone doesnt have it by default.
it was mentioned somewhere in cyanvivo thread i believe.

Yes it was and Im well aware of that. Our phone doesnt natively support Ion and as a result you have to change some camera libs, i think they were, and maybe a few other things here and there. But it is possible and the proof to that is the fact that we have Jellybean ROMs for our device.

any details on this? i'd love to be able to tether without having to force CDMA only. Which Sense 7 rom would be the best place to start? What steps are required?
Thanks!

Any chance you might toss that info my way as well?

Any luck with the hot spot. I have not had any luck getting it working.
I would be interested as well.
If there would be enough interest then I could just add a rom thread with the hot spot mod.

SO how about the One m7 w/ sense 6 and lollipop port.... has anyone figured out how to make 4g work on lollipop 5.x with sense 6 or should I just bump up to a port with a newer sense???
Need to jump to something that has full 4g I am loosing my broadband in a week when my roommate moves out but like a stock feel... I don't need a bunch of HTC Bloat or extensive ROM Customizations just want latest OS with full tether capabilities.
Thanks!!
