Hi All,
Since i am not allowed to post directly to the original thread to the great CM9 ROM from hei1125 -- Nova HD Plus v1.1,, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508492
I have to ask here who had this ROM and discuss our experiences.
So far i got 2 issues:
- the voice call is very light said the call receiver, could anyone confirm? is there a way to increase the volumn?
- Google map zoom with two fingers is pretty bad, not smooth as it used to be on CM7
Thank you.

For calling and internet related issues, I would always check baseband and RIL first. I'm using the 750 baseband (as suggested by the developer) and got the matching RIL with GetRIL from the market. I have no issues with volume. I'm not quite sure whether I can reproduce your Gmap zoom issue, but perhaps this is because we are still lacking some graphic drivers from nvidia. Just my 2ct...

Yes I did had a lot of troubles with baseband and RIL,,, i tried GetRIL for help with my the latest temsak Kang, where i had problem that sometimes the mobile network is disconnected while screen off.
I felt this new ICS ROM is much better related to connection, only the volumn is too low.
I installed RC3-6 and really enjoyed the ICS experience. The ROM is smooth and stable as advertised.
However some key features are not working i.e. camera video
and some minor things like no support for wired headset button which ruins my usual music listening routine.
I tried this with Ironkernel but couldnt get it working due to the low memory error.
Wiped and installed again without the kernel and this time it worked great, nice ROM. Only problem is I need TUN support to get my vpn working and the included CM9 kernel doesnt seem to have this enabled.
Any other kernels i can try with CM9?

as far as i read from the forum, Ironkenel is great for performance however many other problems like faster battery drain,, so i would stick to the standard kernel and wait for the features to be implemented... at the end, the kernel is still in a relatively early stage and i am happy with the stability we could get so far.

Galaxy Nexus bootanimation and circle battery mod for rc5 (I don`t know if it works on rc4)

My last installation was RC3 and there the boot animation worked.
bootanimation dosen`t work since RC4, and circle battery too, I think

In german forum android-hilfe.de
I offer a little Mod for CM9, it changes the color of pressed buttons from orange to ICS/CM9 blue, and the battery icons.
Since I use your rom, the mod works in your rom too So the question is, is there a difference between framework-res.apk and systemui.apk in RC4 and RC5
I have gone back to cm7 as I need certain features for daily driving but the Nova rom has me itching for LG to release their update ASAP and look forward to all the custom roms to follow. XDA developers rock!

Thanks for the app recommendation but I was really looking for dialogue with others who are experiencing this and possible fixes.
Also that app is commercial not interested. I am only interested in the built in native bluetooth support in android.
Touchwiz based roms have no problems with bluetooth keyboards yet this problem persists on AOSP/AOKP and CM9.
It's obviously a driver issue.
I was able to hack together a fix when I had similar issues with GB2.3.6 using drivers from an overcome galaxy tab rom and a galaxy s2... Am not sure where to start with this on ICS tho...
same problem here
ICS Stunner can support bluetooth keyboards guys..
Just search for the fix in the thread, flash it and you'll be good in no time

OH! really? But too sad it looks like I need to reinstall again my apps from IMILKA's rom. Any universal fix for that problem sir?
I've started porting CyanogenMod 10.1 to the Galaxy Tab 7.7. Do not flash this unless you know how to backup your data and especially unless you know how to get back to stock. If you don't already know how to do this, you might want to familiarize yourself with the process now, while the developers try to stabilize CM10.1. I don't have time to help people unbrick their devices, and will not take responsibility for any user bricking their device, you flash this at your own risk.
If you are a developer interested in helping out with the porting effort, please PM me.
Known Issues
CM10.1 is in a primitive state, many features are still missing or don't work
bluetooth doesn't work
audio: dock audio doesn't work
hwcomposer: HDMI dongle doesn't work
wifi: won't connect to hidden ssids
wifi: will only connect to 5GHz networks when immediately adjacent to the router
i815: ambient light sensor doesn't work (no autobrightness)
i815: no IR-Blaster support (I have no intention of fixing this)

yes, I uploaded to the wrong url. It should work within a few minutes, sorry about that.
Installation went smooth and I can confirm data is working on I815. I got excited when I noticed the phone app. I dialed my home and it rang twice then crashed. Gotta admit I was pretty excited for a moment. Great job so far, I'm loving it

SMS works
Phone doesn't fc but I can't hear if its dialing via speaker or headphone.

Thank you so much Locerra for the effort of porting CM 10.1 to our tablet. I didn't expect this at all. I´ve read that it's using new hwcomposer, does this mean that we have "butter" experience at last? Hope GPS get fixed eventually.
Thanks a lot !!!! :good:

Daaaaamn, good to see you back Locerra. I'll have a status report with this on my p6810 soon.

before this with cm 10, couldn't connect to my wifi at home, now its possible !
btw anyone know how to change the interface back to tablet mode ? after change dpi to 160, still phablet mode with smaller size only....
thanks a lot Locerra! :good:
I know that HDMI out wasn't working in any previous CM build for our tablet ... but do you think we can fix this befor or later?
this is the only reason why I don't definitively switch to CM ...

android 4.2 doesn't have tablet mode, that's only the downside of it.
Google decided to unify the user experience on all the devices :S

edit: nope... not working... lolz... i forget its a system thingy...
How's power management in this ROM?
Thank you for continious development
Yeeeehaaa! The Tab 7.7 is back in game! Thank you Loccera!!!
Will try it today evening if I leave work early, otherwise I will report from my nasty home wifi router tomorrow. - so, this is good news today!
(don't know what is wrong with my home router, many CM10 rom's failed; but by the way loccera: your old cm9 (nine!) wifi-hotfix which replaces the wpa_supplicant always worked fine even with cm10)
Tab 7.7. 6810 wifi only

yea not working...
another problem is seems that i cant decrease the number of homescreen !
if i select 7 inside settings, then my homescreen become 12 screen ! when i select 1, it will become 6 homescreen ! "
Speed's very good, power usage seems a little rough so far but no major issues. Wifi has been strong on my 2.4ghz visible Wireless G network, so no major hurdles for it there.
It seems that I can't enable rotation in the launcher AT ALL. Even after turning it on in settings. Also, Google Now crashes whenever voice is attempted.
Loving it so far, will be waiting a few more builds until it's my daily driver though.
Great work!
Hello there.
I have installed jb on a friend's phone, upgraded from a gb darkyrom variant and apparently auto-rotation does not work...
The accelerometer works fine as I've tested it with some app from the market.
What can I do?
thx

Does the ROM really matter? Since it's happening on 3 variants of jb (supernexus, cm10.1 and AOSP).
Right now I told him to use a force-rotate workaround, using an app from the store, but it would be nice if auto-rotate would work.
Thanks.

There are various apps that test the accelerometer, you can then check if its a hardware/software issue.
You can check in the display make sure to tick it, or if not got to play store and download orientation switch to test it out.
The accelerometer totally works. It worked before with GB and it works on JB using an accelerometer test app.
It's the auto-rotation that does not work. Forcing orientation with a play store app works. But I'd like auto-rotation to work
Any help please?
I miss the HDMI-function, but do not want to go back to 2.3!
I know that HDMI is not fixed and supported on any ROM that is not stock-based (I have 10.1) but is there a solution on the way,
or is there a app that actually works on PlayStore?
Try with trial version of Ultimate Rotation Control from app store, i don't know if really work but if we don't try we don't know

Widescreen works if you use the app "Rotate Settings" and set it to Landscape mode.
no such app on play store... can you be more precise?
Sorry, my fault, the app's name is Ultimate Roration Control (here).
It's possible to try it out for 7 days for free trial to see it it works for your phone.
The app only helps you to make the correct mirroring from the phone (landscape, portraite), not making you get the HDMI work if you haven't made a proper build.prop with ROM Toolbox on the phone first.
It's all over internet to read about how that is done. Search on buld.prop + HDMI and you'll find a lot to read about it and how it's done. I'm a complete (oh well....) female noob and manage to fix it!
Also I did notice that using the HDMI cable I bought separately did not work as it was too big to fit on my LG P990. It wasn't being connected properly into the contact on the phone, the plastic is in the way to go all the way in!
By a coincidence I then found the original LG HDMI-cable in a drawer and it's a significant difference between the two in size.
Hope this info helps you guys!

Been trying to recreate those build.prop settings you were talking about, but no luck googling those. Mind to just share the build.prop tweaks?
