[Q] Anyone know where to pick up some RFID tags for use with NFC

Anyone know where to pick up some RFID tags for use with NFC?
I've started playing around with NFC and want to do some fun POC things.
I currently have taken the NFC demo and extended it to support text input as delimited commands (for example e:bt;d:wifi;l:com.slacker.radio to enable bt, disable wifi and launch slacker for when I hop into the car). This works great using the SDK and static text from the tags as input, but I'd like to get a few actual tags to write a quick app to write the tags using the new API and then test them (and use them as it would save me doing some things manually).
I tried http://www.touchatag.com/e-store but they're out of stock currently. Anyone else pick some up anywhere reasonable?
Well, I found http://www.tagage.net/tagage-shop/ and picked up several tags for testing. We'll see how long shipping takes from finland
another good source is ebay

[REQUEST] Screen-off NFC for XT?

Is it possible to create a custom nfc.apk for the Xperia T so that NFC will work with the screen off? It's currently available for a few other devices: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709586
I'd be interested in something like this (yes, I'm aware of the security risks), but have no development experience, and not even sure if it's technically possible for the XT. Could someone more knowledgeable chime in?
I don't see a reason, why this mod shouldn't work on XT. This shouldn't be so hard to do, but will take some time.

[Q] IR Remote Programming Help

Hi guys. I am using Smart IR Remote and can't get it (or any other app) to learn the color codes for an LED strip I bought from eBay. It's a generic strip that comes with a remote and a receiver. I was able to get the app to learn the "on" and "off" commands after a few tries, but the colors just won't program in. I believe that the problem is that the codes are too long for the receiver to read.
The developer of Smart IR Remote backs this up , "If the colors aren't working, that's probably because their IR codes are somehow incompatible with the phone's IR Blaster / Learner. That can either be caused by a frequency that can't be handled by the phone, or a command length that's too long for the phone's blaster. It's something we've seen happen with other LED strips as well." They let me know that they are currently looking into this.
I need to get the commands in Pronto HEX format to use with the app, but have no idea how to do this without using the IR receiver.
Is anyone able to make any suggestions about how to get the codes (without purchasing hardware) or another app that may work temporarily? I have also tried ONEtrtaV2 from XDA which wouldn't learn any of the commands.
I have used Smart IR Remote to record another remote that worked fine.
I am using a Google Edition HTC One running Android 4.3.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Could you please let me know if you figured it out? I have the exact same problem. I fixed on/off and ONE of the color buttons, but I can't figure out the rest. I've emailed the supplier to get the hex codes, so we'll see. Please get back to me

Please help me set up nfc tag for reminders.

I have a bunch of NFC tag laying around the house, and it's time to put some use into them. school started and i want to be able to just scan my phone at the NFC tag and it will set up a reminder/notification to tell me if i have any homework for a particular period. the problem is i can't find a way to do it, and i really need help with that. thanks in advance.
Use nfc task launcher
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
I have that app, and color note and tasker, but I don't know how to set it up or the actions that need to take place. Is it possible to make it so that everytime I touch that nfc tag, a memo is created or edit, and possibly displayed in the notification bar

[Q] Can I use Z1 as nfc/mifare tag?

Can I copy the information on my mifare tag to the phone and use my phone as a tag?
There are a lot of apps for reading/cloning tags and similar but I don't want one more tag, I want one less.
