I've been waiting for someone to talk about this for ever. So here I am, this douchebag here wants to ask if sense 4+ is possible? Since cm and aosp is such a pain in the ass for us. How about some sense jellybean goodness?

Well, htc just gave out JB for their One X so we probably have still have to wait for a while - probably until the Desire X gets it. And then we will propably get that port
Ohhhh right, different processor. Thanks.

Actually it's more because of the resolution than the processor

I have not tried this yet and will give a try when I am not mobile or atleast play with it a bit.
It is mostly for dev so don't try if you are not sure what it does etc...(especially people who got pg threads to close )

This is just a piece of the endeavour leak. But this will not give us sense 4.0.
On a side note I did get the endeavor leak to run on my vivid this evening. It's rather nice but I wasn't able to get WiFi,Bluetooth,or ril working so its pretty useless as it is.

Dude, can you please post a link to the Endeavor ROM you used? I want to port Sense 4.0 but all links at XDA with the leak were taken down it seems.
I think that post turned out to be useless it was just a overlay and real sense 4.0

After reading that, it appears that it was just a skin for the Sense Clock. Very useless. There is however the Endeavor RUU leak that has full Sense 4.0 and it has already been ported to other HTC devices. In fact, the whole ROM should be somewhat easy to port if what kozmikkick said was true.
Here is the link to that

yes.. i guess..
i am waiting for Virtuous to fix all ICS issues soon..
If I remember correctly Virtuous team was waiting for Sensation XL release.
HTC launched ICS but I tought it was only for Sensation and Sensation XE, not XL.
If so, I'll guess we have to keep on waiting :/

i guess HTC said "later this year" for Incredible S
First of all, HTC must release Drivers for the Incredible S to fully function on ICS. As soon as they release, our developers will start making their ROM. Custom ROM will be atleast 2 months before the official release. But yes, There will be some problems in the start and will get fixed soon. Till Then i can say "Wait for 6 more months if you want to taste the fully functioning Ice Cream Sandwich in your Incredible S"
And then it is the end of the year and everybody looking for Android 5.

Surely this is the price we pay for not having the latest up to date phones. This is exactly what HTC want so that we go out and upgrade to the newer models.

Yep, money talks - unfortunately.
Imho its just silly to buy completely new hardware just for a software upgrade that isnt even demanding for the current hardware.
True. But its always nice having that brand new phone feeling haha

I found devs custom rom is always superior than official HTC rom. If HTC will release official ROm i won't go for it. HTC sense doesn't matter for me. Custom roms by devs are always rocks. What you say??
Just want to know which is the best gingerbread ROM for playing games. Cm7 or sense GB??
Thanks,

Dude it has been 40 minutes, take a chill pill.
I'd say AOSP is better than any sense roms when it comes to gaming.

Sry, I was just expecting that it would be an easy question for regular users who come here a lot (A)
I heard that cm is bad for games
Is it true? That sense GB ROMs are better ?
PS: ofc I know about aosp saving a lot of ram compared to any skinned ROM
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
I'm still on cm7.2 and I will be until we can get a new kernel. And it's able to handle almost any game I throw at it. Was on ARHD before that but not the same experience. Haven't updated my signature though

I run what's in my sig and it works great. I currently have 780 MB of free space on my internal storage. Combine that with clocking at 1.6 ghz and you've got a gaming powerhouse. I can run cod zombies with no lag and fancy graphics turned up. No sense user can achieve that.

You're right, nothing quite compares to sense
But for performance, I'd go CM7 with kaijura V3 kernel, or Trinity Sensation XL with the V6 supercharger and aggressive settings
So I have this new issue :S when I install subway surfer and open it, it fcloses after 5 seconds or sth
not the first time I face this problem when I am on cm7

I don't have any skills ( obviously ) but mabye homeslice would be wiling to help out since he got sense 4.1 running
I'm not sure if there is a Jelly Bean 4.2 out with any HTC Sense yet, I thought Sense 4+ and Sense 5.0 use Jelly Bean 4.1.
Unfortunately I do not have the skills to help you out past that, unless you are looking for beta testers when the time comes around. As stated above your best bet right now would be to contact homeslice and see if he's interested in working on this. He knows the other Vivid devs pretty well and would probably be the best person to ask about getting a team together (I'd recommend PM'ing him). However the few remaining devs seem to be focused on polishing off their Sense 4.1 roms, so they may not have the time right now, but it doesn't hurt to ask around.
Good luck!
The lucky guys over in the sensation forum....just got sense 4+ with jellybean. Maybe we could find a way to port it to the vivid as that is what was done with the first venom rom to come to our device.

Yea I just saw that too. Very very hopeful that we will someday be able to receive this update. If so, I might not even get a One as my Vivid handles everything I do just fine.
Well Chris aka Y2Jerico was talking to me last night and we talked over a lot on sense 4+ and he wants to do it but he doesn't have time for making a kernel and porting but he is willing to work as hard he can to put many fixes longs as him and who ever else can get a base. The reason why is because this guy works long hours and has only has the weekends to work on it.... But I trust that he will help out a lot cuz who ever ran the honest rom has seen his work and seen how smooth, fast, and snappy his rom was.

It has been said many times. No. Due to excessive resizing, or bugs on the devices that have the same resolution, porting Sense 5 is useless.

If there is a JB sense kernel (for ex. Sense 4+) it is possible.
