When I plugged my mini into a spare micro usb charger it started playing music automatically. But it works fine with the charger it came with. Anybody having this issue or is this some feature that can be turned off?
Maybe it thinks its docked

Use only original charger. I have some nonoriginal and non of them work proper. With some even the touchscreen is unresponsive when charging.

It is definitely a bug in the phone. I connected mine with the Samsung provided Galaxy S3 charger and the same result. I even had all the options unchecked in the Settings > Accessories and still to no avail.
Maybe S3 Mini just loves the wall charger it ships with
Solution S3mini
The SOLUTION is: Open the micro USB connector of the car charger adapter with a sharp tool like a cutter. Cut one or both legs of the internal 200Kohms resistor, and that's all.
Try to close the rubber enclosure with a kind of loctite instant adhesive.
Kind Regards!
my s3 mini had a similar issue a while back - the phone used to think the headset was plugged in while charging, i just got a tooth pick and cleaned the charger housing carefully, and thankfully it has not done it since.

Recently my V1615 has stopped charging in the car. It used to work fine and I've tried 4 different car chargers which all work with other phones and satnavs.
The phone charges fine from the mains charger or a USB lead connected to a computer which is very confusing.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Anyone help?
Hi,
I had the same prob when gps and bluetooth was on at the same time... try to disable BT to try.

One reason could be that the charger is not providing enough juice to charge your device with applications you have running. I had a problem with a cheap charger I had bought long time ago. The new (more expensive) one I have charges just fine when I have both GPS and bluetooth working.

Is there any damage to your USB port? I had the same problem where it wouldn't charge form the car charger but the mains charger (the HTC one that came with the phone) and USB lead worked fine. However in my case I also tested another mains charger (from a Motorola phone) and it wouldn't charge from that either.
When I looked I noticed that the pin on the far right (as you look at it with the screen facing up) was bent out of position, and the plastic surrounding it was also slightly damaged. I managed to bend it back in to place carefully with a pin and now it works OK.
My HD2 has just killed it's second car charger, grr! Has anyone else had this problem with generic micro USB chargers? Or genuine HTC ones?
The power light comes on in the charger but nothing happens on the phone. My car holder charger was in 2 sections, a mini USB cable to the cradle and then a converter to micro USB in the cradle. If you swap the mini USB cable the rest works, but with the broken cable, the cradle power indicator still lights up.
Thanks in advance if anyone's had the same problem or got some advice.

How hot is the phone?
If it is too hot (usually from a car charger in a hot environment), the Leo will not charge. The HD2 will blink green and orange.
Hello dizzi141,
Same problem here, already one car charger down. I have a red led burning on the car charger but nothing happens on the device ...
Grtz
My charger is working but charger is getting very hot and it charging the phone very slowly like 7-10 min one percent (%1) any way to fix this problem?
It's not a heat thing as far as I can tell, it works one minute and then next time it's dead. The phone doesn't recognise it's plugged into a charger even.
So the led is not blinking at all? (when plugged in to charger)
Shure that its your htc hd2 killing and not the car ? Cheapass chargers suks bigtime
Power consumption
Could it be that your generic charger is rated at 500mA and the HD2 can draw somewhere between 1500 and 2000mA ?
That might blow a fuse (or burn up the voltage regulator if unfused) in the "el-cheapo" car charger..
Personally, I'm using a 1000mA USB adapter from dealextreme.com
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.34040
and a standard USB cable.
Works perfectly for me.
(Sure, I might get the orange/green LED, but that's because of heat. I get that with original charger too, if it's too hot when I charge.)
Just my two cents...
I used to have a lower power generic car charger but it blew after a couple of months of occasional use.
For 'peace of mind' I brought the official HTC one as advised in the accessories section of their website, it's still working fine now after about 3 months of occasional use (just have to wiggle it around a bit to make a good connection in the socket sometimes).
I do have to align the screen mount to an aircon vent on the dash to keep it cool though, it overheats in no time - and that's just uk heat!
I haven't had any problems with heat or charging. I use this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021129 , you can get them pretty cheap if you watch their email promos.
I'd agree with Bonzo.
I have tested few chargers (Samsung branded including ).
Everything what was not marked as 1A (1000mA) output was useless.
i use the origininale htc`s car chargers.
they work flawless.
CC-C200 for the hd2
i had a CC-C100 before.
Hey guys,
I purchased this dock and at first I absolutely loved it. However, just recently when I use this dock to connect my N2 to my tv, sometimes the content on my tv screen flickers. I use qualoty hdmi cables and made sure all cables are secure and toghtly plugged in. It is important to mention that this is my 2nd N2 (I was having problems witg my first N2). This screen flickering never happend with my first N2 and I want to know of it is the accessory that is a problem or my actual smartphone that is. I should also mention that my 2nd N2 has a problem, whenever I plug my charger in it is loosely plugged in and falls out sometimes (if this is an indication of a faulty mocrousb port then perhaps the faulty microusb port is causing the flickering on my tv screen).
Does anybody have this accessory? How does yours work?
Thanks for your time.

very likely a dodgy usb socket will cause that problem.
My dock is a EDD-S20EWE, not tried it on the tv yet, but I have used an MHL cable and it works fine without flickering

As the title says, we have a Gear Neo 2 which has been working wonderfully for awhile. One day we plugged it in and apparently it didn't charge. The Neo slowly ran out of battery and died. The charging contacts on the back of the watch look fine and the pins that stick out on the charger cradle look completely normal as well. We've tried leaving it plugged into the wall and we've tried plugging it into my mac's USB port but nothing seems to work. You Tube only seems to have info on the Gear 1. Anyone else have this issue? I'm wondering if I should but a new cradle from Amazon (about $6) or if I should look for another battery or something. Anyone know if Best Buy would have cradles to test in their Samsung pop up section of their stores? Any other recommendations? Thanks
So i am having this problem, wonder if anyone else is also. I reported it to samsung.
The problem is when using a car charge my phone will say charging like normal. BUT then it will says "powering connected usb device".
It will say this the whole time it is charging.
Its a 5v 2amp charger i am using a micro usb cable with the included usb c adapter.
I use the this same charger for my s7 edge without problems.
Now the kicker here. Once i unplug the note 7 from the charger it will keep to saying "powering connected usb device"
The battery icon will flip between the power out icon and normal battery.
The first time it did i had to reboot the phone so it would stop.
The next time it went away after a few minutes.
I havent try using a usb c cable, but will later today.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Its probably OS related or have something to do with the adapters.
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem
The included micro-usb-to-usbc adapter seems to inhibit the charging speed. I used the adapter with an official Samsung Micro USB cable that came with my Note 5 and plugged it into a Samsung fast charger and the charging takes forever... Maybe you're experiencing a similar symptom?

Its possible. Today i drove for about 20mins and i didnt have this problem. It charged but only went up 3% more. I should of gotten at lest 5-6% with that charger (amount i would of gotten with my s7 edge, same charger in cable)
I will do a test today with the usb c cbale plug right into the usb adapter. I only have the one for the time being
Well the problem is still here.
My wife gotnher phone and the same thing.
She needed to charger her phone.
Plug it up and it says chaning connected usb device. Just stays on the screen for a while then goes away.
Now we got out the car and turn the car off.
Then phone lit up and says powering conntect usb device. Then my rasio started to boot up and ended up in a boot loop as long as the phone was connected.
So thephone was trying to power my car through the usb charger.
This is something samsung should fix asap. There should be an option to turn this off.
Ill have another chat with samsung
