I found this extended battery for the vogue. Any of you use this? If so how does it compare to the original standard battery?
that battery just showed up on the "battery scene"... it should provide more capacity based on mAh. i'm using Seidio's 2000 mAH battery it provides enough power to get me 1.5 days with normal usage.
Yeah I have that battery and anything is better than the one that comes with it. It lasts a lot longer as you would probably expect from a bigger battery. If you do get that battery it won't fit in your case anymore and the best case I found that fits it perfect by the way is this one http://swissmobility.swissmobilitystore.com/store/product/swissmobility_commander. It fits it perfect after a day of breaking it in. It is also cheaper here at this site http://www.buywirelessnow.com/smartwireless/buy/accessories/cat/615/accessory/298685 which includes the cover and free shipping.

Mind sharing pictures of what it looks like installed? Also do you know if any of the existing extended batteries would fit using the OEM extended battery door?
thanks,
-CC
Here are a few pictures. As far as other batteries fitting inside like the 2000 from seidio it probably will because they claim it will still fit in the original holster with the back you can get with it and with this HTC back it won't fit inside the original holster. This is all an assumption.
thanks for the pictures... if you have it, i'd like to see a side-shot of the phone with battery cover (similar to 3rd from left but with cover) and a bottom-shot of the phone with battery cover (looking from bottom). having an OEM cover vs. the tight Seidio cover is something i'm thinking about (not to mention having another backup battery). thx
Yo, here are the pictures you requested.

thank you sir...
Guess I can't get the 2000mah battery then
What else you guys recommend ?
I've been thinking of getting the Treo 700wx
This is the 1500mah battery which fits with the original cover..
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=879
too expensive though, there's tons of them on ebay cheaper
Will a Extended Battery Door for a Capacity 1900 mAh battery fit a 2000mah battery?
i have the extented door for the OEM 1900 mAh battery and it easily accomodates seidio's 2000 mAh battery. in fact, the 1900 mAh battery is taller than seidio's 2000 mAh battery.
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking forward to the purchasing the door and the extended battery.
how much room is left in between the battery and the cover would you say? I want to put an led in the case for a non-flash/light. the mugen-power full case looks like it would work, but I don't want to spend $75 on a 3 year old phones battery.
Decided that instead of an upgrade to my phone, a new battery will eek out some more life from this one. What's the biggest capacity battery that has ZERO size issues fitting in the mogul? It's a Sprint model if that matters.
Thanks!
Fits perfectly? Do you mean no extended case?
biggest mah battery
The biggest mah battery that I have seen that fits in without te bigger back door is this one
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...os-akkumulator-sprint-htc-mogul-ppc-6800.html
They also have the most powerfull one, 3600mah and that comes with a new battery door.
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-mogul-ppc-6800-hatlappal-in-silver-grey.html
Kind of expensive IMHO. I would go on ebay (like I did) and buy one there for 10 - 15 bucks depending on which one. Make sure it states 'new' and gives the mah rating. some batteries say bigger capacity but don't tell you anything about the rating.... There are 3000 mah extended with a door for 12.99 free shipping. Even the label on the battery is the same as OEM except the actual logo....
yeah 1 already buy extended battery the price around 12 usd, shipped from Hongkong.
i think the battery capacity not 3000mah (even in spec said so) i just feel little enhancement from my previous battery
maybe if you want to buy extended battery, try to buy mugen the original one.
For posterity I wanted to point some readers to batteryboss.org
Reviews batteries and there are a lot of scammers out there.
Has anyone bought a higher capacity battery and found it to be good?
I've seen some 1500mAH batteries very cheap but have seen people reviewing them saying they are don't last as long as the 1230mAH HTC battery due to being bad quality.
Is there a good quality 1500 (or higher) capacity battery around - one that doesn't make the phone fat and ugly?
+1
I would also like to know this. When I had a Vibrant 3g, I was able to buy an oem vibrant 4g battery for $20 and it was 150 maH bigger, but same physical size and voltage. Worked great. I know there are extended batteries, but they are usually bulky. I have found that aftermarket slim extended batteries are worthless, and often perform less than the stock one. I even bought a mugen slim extended battery for my Mytouch 4g and at first it was phenominal. But within the first 4 full cycles, it was performing at 60% what my stock battery did. I reconditioned it, reflashed the rom from a full charge, etc. Surprised me, cuz mugen gets a lot of good reviews. Best bet is to get a power skin, or get a bulky extended battery. Power skin is bulky, but it's a uniform bulkiness, so not as awkward as the bulge of a standard extended battery. Hope this helps.
I want bigger battery for my Note2, but only quality battery l found is 6000mAh with battery door, which made from Note2 2cm thickness ugly beast.
Existing some (REAL) 4000-4500mAh with battery door which made Note2 maximum 1,3-1,4cm thickness?

There is a source I just found for 4200 mAh battery which supposed to be the same dimensions as OEM 3100 mAh battery. I'm waiting to receive it in a few weeks from HK ($8.99 shipped) and will review and report about its actual capacity. It shouldn't be less than 3100 mAh, I hope, and if it really can deliver 4200 mAh - that would be awesome while keeping original battery door and whatever case you are using now.
In case you're wondering what you might get one of these, just search ebay for 4250 mah note2 gold. Whoever in Cina makes these, makes them for a lot of brands.

The problem is when you search on ebay you get only 2 choices, one for $25 and another one for $35. And although picture shows a battery with Note 2 label, it has 4 contacts instead of 3 contacts like on OEM battery. I have no idea what they are selling. The one I'm getting is labeled as 4200 mAh Gold model and for a fraction of the price, it has correct 3 contacts and even water damage indicator. But I have no idea about its quality or the actual capacity until I get it. If its everything I expect, I will review and post a link to it.

You bought it before or read about it online? What is your experience with it? Can you post a link where you got it from? Also, how were you able to determine its not 4200 mAh?

Lots of reviews on XDA not just for the note 2 but lots of batteries.
Regardless of it being made in China or not, there are lots of scams out there. Batteries that hold more charge must be physically larger, it's a matter of physics, unless if you are buying a battery with some very advanced rechargeable battery tech, but most batteries are li-pol or li-ion and basically in order to have more charge you need more cells, which = bigger battery.
Anyone selling a "extended" battery that is the same size is lying.
The Gold batteries are good quality OEM size batteries, but they won't hold more charge

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I'm not being naive about it, just hoping that perhaps they were able to increase cell density, somehow?!? I'm not holding my breath it will be 50% increase or so. In my previous Droid X I had original OEM 1500 mAh battery. Then, after 3 months Motorola came up with 1850 mAh extended battery in the same form factor (even so they offered a new battery cover, it was just a hair thicker and fit original battery cover perfectly). And that one was a significant improvement over original capacity. So, I'm just hoping that someone was able to push an envelope to increase density to give at least 20%-25% boost without sacrificing the size. As much as I'm enjoying my current test of Seidio Innocell (4500 mAh) with ACTIVE Extended case, I miss my slim fit UAG case

Go to this thread and go down to post 9. I posted my experience with a "gold battery" only to find out the label was just a print to scam buyers. Not only that, the battery never worked and when I was charging it, it started getting dangerously hot.
All in all, stick with branded items that have a good reputation. I paid $675 outright for my phone, and will spend $5 more for the branded battery to keep my pocket from bursting. Also, the external battery charger that come with Hyperion and Onite batteries output .350 A +- .05A so it will slow charge a battery overnight, keeping your battery at its peak life for a longer amount of time.
I'm not looking for huge 6000mAh batteries that make my phone thrice as big. Just something that will give me a bit more juice. I know all those gold batteries selling on ebay are scams. There's no way to fit a higher capacity battery with the same dimensions and using the same case.
So are there are batteries in the 3800 to 4500 mAh range that won't make my phone as bulky?
I can safely tell you no.
If you want a battery that is bigger than 3100mah and not a scam, the best you can do is get a double battery 6200mah which makes your phones twice as thick, not three times as thick.
These companies are legit and also have very reasonably priced 3100mah batteries which you can get multiple of and charge externally if you dont want a thicker phone

There is the Mugen 3200mAh which is the same physical size of the OEM 3100, but as it's Mugen, its pricey. http://www.amazon.com/3200mah-Extended-Battery-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00AN34JLU
Not really worth it for the price, considering you can get a spare Samsung 3100mAh and battery charger for around the same price.
I've pretty much removed Mugen from my vocab. Their pricing is just plain ridiculous. They don't offer anything special to make up for the price premium
Try an anker battery.. very cheap and I can confirm they perform slightly better than stock.
This was also the case on many of my previous phones. It really id the best bang for buck same dimension battery you're gunna find.

THIS
Qcell is the best according to some testing done - It actually provided 100mah more than advertised 6200 (i forget where the link was on that, but google it).
Next Best battery is the EZO power - you actually get the advertised Mah's of these batterys.... I'm using Qcell and get 2+ days easy
Hyperion always raises an eyebrow... some people peeled the label off their hyperions and they were (3) 1500's packed together... sketchy as hell

Yeah, Anker is definitely good from what i've read. I think their 6200mah is discontinued though. 3100 still on sale. From the same site's review, it came in at 3220mah similar to QCell

Yea I find the 3100 ones perform slightly better than stock. Personally I'll never use an extended battery, but these ones work good and its conveniant being able to carry it and to swap it out when not near a power out.
I'm sure the mugen 3200mah battery is the best slim battery available, but the cost is absolutely ridiculous.
