Well done this is appropriately gaudy and ostentatious, it reminds me of the old hotdog theme for Windows 3.1
Suggestions wise - More green, the settings shortcut on on the notification bar looks good the widget button should match, the MIUI Widget icons looks out of place IMHO
There are quite a few bits of Holo blue around:- the add account plus in Accounts, the text in messaging and the top line on the notification drawer
The Messaging and Phone icons has some odd artefacts around it.
I see you have also used the ribbon notifications for Facebook, I'm not a fan of these personally but I see how they fit into the theme. The flashing Messaging icon is more fitting i think

MIUI Mod ROM's have almost this exact same look and app drawer scrolls to the sides, iPhone style.
You can find varius flavors of them in the Nexus One Android Development forum here at XDA.
I use ADW EX and it has the option to add something like that.
You can change the color of the box
Thank you both for your suggestions. I'll try em both out. I like that on the Samsung it chooses the color based on the icon. It's more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.
Anymore suggestions are welcome.

You can get the touchwiz launcher here. I'm not sure how up to date it is or if it'll even work with GB but it's only an apk and can be uninstalled easily.

[REQ] Help with writing words on a dock

So i want to write BRWSR and GAMES on the second and fourth dock icon space of the pictured dock (third being the app launcher). I have absolutely no skills with this sort of stuff so im hoping you folks can help me out
I am providing the dock image as well as the desired font (senoe ui light to match mattedblues theme). Ideally the text would be enclosed within the dock margin and still be legible (hopefully the dock isnt too narrow).
This is my first time linking an image or my dropbox so hopefully i linked them correctly. A million thanks in advance! Sorry if this isn't the kind if post that goes in this section.

if your using an adw launcher you can dload an app called text icon creator. it allows you to fully edit color, size, font +. if your not i cant imagine that there wouldnt be other app options capable of the same kind of editing. hope this helps
simple text is another good one

So I was looking to complete my ICS theme, but none of the themes came with the white minimal clock that I saw in a few galaxy nexus screenshots. I had the dumped rom sitting on my computer, and I also found the apk to another clock widget that was 2x2 and also free in the market...so I just themed his clock really quick so I could have it without having to find a different theme with it or something else.
ALL CREDIT FOR THE APP GOES TO THE ORIGINAL DEV FOR THIS APP, THIS IS JUST A THEME
this is my first time theming something so let me know if there's any problems/something I should fix.
I guess I can't post links here yet, I'm allowed in the eris theming section, links can be found there

cool thanks!!!
Didn't work on my Galaxy S2
Looks gr8, btw, I want it!
Thanks a lot, it works with out any problems on my htc legend.
Isn't this the same as the one available in the Market?
The one in the market, at least the base for this clock, originally looked like this:
Every other ics clock I've seen is this one (on top)

[Q- MIUI] Changing application/icon In Launcher.

So I'm using Illest Icons2, and the icon for the default MIUI camera app is really nice, but I don't use that app.
I use Vignette and there's not a custom icon for that app.
How would I go about changing the mtz to set the icon for the default camera, to Vignette, so I can have it on the homescreen without it looking out of place?

Here's a write up I made on how to make custom icon packs for miui. Just follow the how to and you'll be good

Steps 1 through 4 can be avoided if you just review the icons in
/data/system/customized_icons_1/
essentially all non-themed apps have an icon present in here.
Sorry to ring a dead topic back to life, but would this also apply to replacing one non-themed icon with a themed one? Like the Opera mini app with the stock browser's icon...

My first attempt at customizing the 2 GO apps!
The MinUI skins are inspired by the MIUI interface.
What triggered me to do this?
That would be donhu's Blue Miui CM7 theme.
I wanted everything to fit in but couldn't find any skin for GO Contacts EX so I made my own.
I would say this is just an experiment for me to see how to edit an APK.
Swapping images is easy but it took me some time to figure out the need to sign it and the changing of package names.
Credits
donhu
- for making Blue Miui that got me started
- for permitting me to share the GO SMS theme which is just a minor edit of his work
exDialer
- Kind of used it as reference for the dialer part
MIUI
- The ROM that started it all
Downloads
GO Contacts EX
- MinUI
- MinUI-B
GO SMS Pro
- MinUI
- MinUI-B
First testing tks

I downloaded both SMS themes. Really nice look. Sharp, crisp, and clean.
Brilliant job
