[Q] Is It Dangerous ??

I've downloaded cm 7.2 RC4..
I open that rom, and deleted some applications that I think I don't need it, like :
- android keyboard (i replace with samsung keyboard)
- adw launcher (replace with GO Launcher EX)
- androdian and cyanbread (I don't really like that theme)
- BMKG
- browser
- car Home
- global Time
- gallery3D ----> i think you know why i remove this apps, if you use cm7
- pro tips
- all stock cm7 live wallpaper
- and other
and then I flash it..
it's works well..
Is it dangerous if I do that?
whether it will cause the FC if I install some applications?

NO for me. uninstall Musice app and install google music. file manager and install astro.
but better flash rom then remove your unwanted apps with titanum backup and before backup that app.

i do that, but when i want fresh rom, i must install titanium (again) and manually deleted (again) my unwant application.. right?

Your list is quite safe, except for onw thing : browser, which I never deleted. Other apps should be safe to delete. Just make sure you know what you're doing. And don't delete phone.apk and contacts.apk.

but just one hour ago, i found new problem with it..
i have vending.apk (old version) from other thread,
i deleted vending.apk (version 3.4.4) from my \system\app and replace with vending.apk (old version)
restart
always FC (many application like market, phone, etc)
whats wrong? is my cm 7.2 RC4 not suitable with old version of market?

iTS DANgerous if you dont know what your doing .

I think you can't simply uninstall vending and everything will be ok. There's a flashable Gapps zip somewhere in this forum with the old vending, no autoactualizable (I think that word doesn't even exist in english xD). I hope to help.

I did that too, just remember to change permission and ownership for the old market (vending.apk). Btw, try to clear data from Market (from manage applications--all--Market) first. And don't forget to delete MarketUpdater.apk as well.

of course i remember to change permission and ownership for the old market (vending.apk) when i move it to \system\apk.. but to clear all data of market? it's necessary?
i try to find MarketUpdater.apk but i couldn't find it anywhere, so i just disable it through connectbot (pm disable bla bla bla bla bla)
where i can find flashable oldmarket? just oldmarket and no additional application..

but i think tou need other app from that zip file for use marked ( but can delet carhomegoogle.apk-FOTAkill.apk-OneTimeInitializer.apk-GenieWidget.apk- ...)

I did not delete the application you mentioned..
now i have question, where i can find marketupdater.apk in my system? i cant find some apk that related to market except vending.apk

in your "gapp.zip" file you finde it.
but in CM stock rom zip file no marketupdater.apk .
i use RC4 and not really know it's true in other RC version.

I presume permission: wr-r-r, and just move the app to /system/app,
adb push [location of the file] system/app and ur good to go

Very very beatiful , fine and smooth if you install this zip(twics-cm9-nightly-addon 1.3) in recovery and you have paranoid or cm9 nightly installed on nexus ..
I love it , thanks for all... most of the apps works fine and great!

Try 'signedMemo.apk' from GNex zip file.
I didn't tried zip files for NS because I'm too lazy to flash cm9..

terrible bugs : when you gaming with a game like LINE RUNNER , the nexus s has some reboots or it closes the game news : it crashes, closes the game and has some reboot when you gaming and you have open the wifi

IMO, SGS3 apps are heavy for nexus s.
How about deleting system apps which u don't use?(just be careful..)

Dude the zip file you mentioned in the OP does not work. I check it and the framework is not built for NS devices.
I dont know how you got them to work on your devices. If you dont mind please share the way you did. Cause i just flashed it thru CWM but nothing happened.

Jesus! Unzip/extract the files and install the apks to /system/app MANUALLY, dont flash it thru CWM or TWRP cos it won't work

Rom toolbox and galaxy mini

Hi guys, I want to use Rom toolbox. But is it compatible with galaxy mini? and will it brick my phone?

It might brick your phone.

it depends what you want to do with it, if you use it to chang font or bootscreen or other things including it would not brick you devise,but if you use it to flash anything (recovery or rom....ect) it would surely brick your mini
ps:: i alway use rom manager to chang font bcz it have more than 150 font to easily install

I agree, it depends on what you use it for. I've been using it on mine for a while now with no problems. I've never flashed a rom with it, and probably never will. haha

ok, thanks all i will use it 4 themes, bootanimations ...

i m using rom tool box lite (free) without using rom manager. it works 4 me as a perfect file manager, font manager, but more importantly i can set 'start up' permission for system apps, u know some apps starting annoyingly, eating battery, data,.....

Man, what launcher did you use. It may have a "App Hiding" options.
What do you mean by "unlocking phone" ? Did you mean Root it ? (Holy-Gosh, a 2 years old kid do it. I'm 14 and still bit afraid rooting my SIII ).

Someone delete the camera apk with es file explorer .
And now i haven't this app

you can reflash the rom..
well CM10 for mini2 currently doesnt have a working camera..
but sure thing is its nearly to be fix

Well open the zip go to /system/app and extract camera.Apk
Push it to /system/app and set perm rw-r--r--
And by unlocking op meant lockscreen unlocking

You can download some 3d party camera app from playstore.

[APP]Trimmed apps

Hello Galaxy Mini users , today i wanna help you a little with what i can do best , anyway i think this post gonna help JB users a lot cuz of there low free space in system
I tried almost all rom and i like JB and ICS system roms but there always a problem , dont have many space in system anyway i managed to slimm one of the most usefull app that we use in every rom and its the keyboard from 10Mb to 2Mb and i didnt remove anything and so i guess that 8 free system space where you can add something usefull
And i also slimmed trebuchet from 3Mb to 666Kb and some others like Framework-res ...
Anyway as a start i give you The slimmed keyboard , here's the link : http://db.tt/WyMzywfZ
Ps: for noobs , use rootexplorer copy file to /system/app change permission to 644(rw-r-r) and remove from his name "(small)" thing , overwrite it and reboot done
One more thing , if you need any other system app to be slimmed , tell me here name or just give me link to trimm it for you
