Not sure If I've thrown this in the right place, sorry if I haven't.
Am looking for a theme, or even an icon set that would look similar to this lockscreen. I've searched every site I could think and hunted through Google but alas have turned up nothing. So I turn to the trusty people of XDA.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...locker.theme.ics&feature=search_result#?t=W10.
Almost like the beautiful looking windows 7 icons designed on the andriodforums, but with a glass appearance and different sizes. 2x2 3x2 1x1 3x3 2x1 and 1x2
Anyone seen anything like that?

Use launcher 7 or search the windows dev/theme threads. You can also make the tiles too, just lower the opacity to 50-60% on the tile.

I've searched the 'net, I've looked at every crappy icon pack in the market, and I absolutely cannot find an icon pack that I am satisfied with.
Basically what I'm looking for are solid (non-transparent) versions of the LauncherPro icons, or icons that are identical (one solid color with no transparency or shadowing) so that I can edit them to my liking.
I've got decent photoshopping skills, but I've tried goofing around with the LauncherPro icons to no avail, I can't get them looking quite right.
Recommendations would be MUCH appreciated!
I assume you mean the application icons, in the applications list? Are you able to provide a screenshot of one you tried to edit (before or after)?

Sorry, I lost track and didn't subscribe. I'm just talking about the stock Launcher Pro Dock icons, sort of.

See the ones at the bottom? Like that, basically.
I See What You Mean.
Someone should release a vector version of those icons. :/
Wrong post. I'm dumb.
I know what you mean. I always find great icons, but they don't look right in the dock. They're made too small and look bad.
Here you go: http://www.iconfinder.com/browse
There are currently 760 full icon sets in there as I type this, all free, some for even commercial use, which allow you to download in .png or .ico format. You can even search for individual replacements for icons as well.
Happy hunting!

Hey guys, I just bought my Nook Color yesterday and rooted it as well. The thing I am trying to figure out is is there a tutorial on how to get it like a tablet and put icons on the home screen and use a launcher just like any tablet running on Android? Please keep in mind I am looking for compete instructions on how to change the launcher and add icons and such because I rooted it by following the exact steps. Currently I have Soft Keys as the default launcher with the book one running under that. Thanks very much in advance!
I'm in the same boat. I read the threads and learned a lot, tried a few things, and asked a few questions. The problem with simply following a list of instructions is that you wouldn't really be setting it up the way you want, and that is one of the beauties of rooting.

Well I put Zeam Launcher on it and I am pretty happy with the way it looks so far, just gotta figure out how to add icons and widgets to the pages... Also whats the ideal size for wallpaper for the nook color?
I suggest looking at the screenshots. Finding looks you like. Than going to the android market and doing. No better education that doing.

Use" wallpaper set and save" (free from market) to change wallpaper, and as for placing icons on "desktop" pages, go to apps drawer and press and hold on an app. The drawer will disapear andyou will be able to place it...
Sorry for rushed answer...
Thanks for the replies guys I got my book perfect. The only thing is how can I remove a black bar at the top and bottom of the screen? Its behind the page indicator on the top and behind the dock on the bottom.
i made a complete guide on my website how to root with some different tweaks you can do:
mrm3.net
Thanks for the reply but there is nothing on your site saying how to remove the bars and/or to stretch the wallpaper to cover the whole screen as well as behind the dock.
Anyone have an idea of his to strech the wallpaper as was stated in my previous post? I really hate the black bars on top and behind the dock.

You have to get the right size wallpaper. I have lost the link to the site, but you can choose what size wallpaper to dnld & If I remember correctly, if you go to the site with the NC, it will offer the right size files by default.
Cheers,
kev
P.S. The NC screen is 1024 x 600
I did a search but couldn't find anything. I am trying to find ring icons for the dock in numerous colors. Any help would be appreciated
Well first what kind of ring icons??? Like the launcherpro icons with a clear ring around them? I have a ton of those if thats what you mean and you should always look on deviantart.com or general icon websites or torrents to I have collected a massive icon collection over a 2 year period so be specific! An example would be nice..
what about these icons? they come in 3 colours but its easy to change them as ive done it numerous times

I've searched high and low, but can't seem to find an answer to this question.
I'd like to take the stock time/date from the lockscreen on my Thunderbolt and place it onto my homescreen.
I'm running Das BAMF Remix 1.7 which has the "Verizon Wireless" nuked from the lockscreen. I think this time/date is so simple and it'd look perfect on my homescreen, but I have no idea how to put it there.
Try simple clock widget from market. Not exactly what your looking for I know, but fairly similar.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I do appreciate the quick response.
I've tried both simple clock and digital clock, and while both are pretty damn close, they're not quite right. I'm too particular I suppose.
I'm hoping someone knows how I can extract the time/date from the lockscreen (perhaps as an apk?) and then I can just flash it like any other mod.
Can you post a screenshot? I looked through the Roms thread for pictures, im just being curious (nosy)
Make Your Clock Widget or .. Make Your Clock Widget (Pro)
mClock or Minimalistic Text
Give those a try. - Also, I think "OMC" One more Clock has what you're looking for as a default skin.
i suppose i was just being lazy. after a bit of patience, i was able to use minimalistic text to mimic the stock lockscreen date/time perfectly. the only extremely minor glitch i can't quite fix now is the positioning. when i unlock my phone if you look carefully you can see the time/date jump just a few pixels. i don't think this is something i can fix though, as it probably has something to do with the different ways in which widgetlocker and launcher pro plus draw their grids between the lockscreen and the homescreen.
I had a bit of a search on the web and xda developers, but can't seem to find what im looking.Tryung to find out what the stock icon sizes are for the htc one on Jellybean 4.2.2?I would like to add ios 5.1.1/6 icons (120x120) over the top of my exsisting apps, but i dont want to run launchers or different roms, very happy with 4.2.2and Sense 5.Please be gentle, this is my first Android phone, and still trying to get my head around things
Cheers

72x72 & 144x144 .. In apks they seem to be 72x72 but they won't change unless you decompile and sign them from my personal experience. In some of the framework files, the icons for system apps such as calendar, camera, phone etc, they're 144x144.
This isn't concrete as far as where each size dwells but they are the two sizes I've come across for apps.
So if i were able to put the 120x120 aplle icons over android apps, would it end up looking weird,as in weird shadows under the icons, etc?

What do you mean putting them over android apps? You'd obviously have to replace them and if I were you I'd resize them to be the same dimensions but it shouldn't matter that much as it's not like ****ty Apple with their stupid masks that leave a black shadow around Icons, especially noticeable when using non-square icons.
The one thing to note is that if you plan to change the icons for things like camera, phone, gallery etc, the icons are 72x72 in the app but 144x144 in htc.resources.apk. If you don't make the icons the same sizes then you will end up with tiny icons on your homescreen but normal ones on the lockscreen. For example, if you change the phone icon then you have to put a 144x144 icon in htc.resources.apk otherwise it won't be the correct size.
