Disable your antivirus and download x8toolbox again, in that particular order. Only then run the program.
You can enable your antivirus back when the whole process is finished.

Thats fine. Once you begin rooting it should start the adb service and find your device. Just follow the instructions.

I would recommend superoneclick by CLShortfuse for the actual rooting. Works great, and you can enable non market apps with the same program. One note, in the top right of the box that opens, you will have to choose either "psneuter" or "rage...cage". I think most people choose the rage option, but psneuter is chosen by default.

Root OF /sdcard, it means the main directory ... Not in any folders.
So I put it on the internal sd(no a folder) then boot in to recovery and just re-install packages. Done

Well, i've unlocked the bootloader (s1tool sayed it was "SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE" , and then r8a029) xperia x8
Then i flashed from flashtool (the 64bit version) the nAa ics kernel.
However when i turn on the phone it vibrates , the lights and leds are on, but nothin else. Then it shut down. So i can't access recovery or flashing something else with flashtool because it says that drivers are not installed.
I think it's not hard-bricked because it has some reactions.
Any idea?
It's not hard bricked. Hard brick is when there is absolutely no response from the phone.
Repair using pcc and try again.
And yes, your bl is unlocked. Grats

How did you find out that flashtool was flashing kernel. I have kept log level to debug, still I don't see any statement indicating tool is trying to flash kernel. In fact I tried to flash just loader and even that failed with same error.
Your reply will help me narrow down the possible causes. Thanks in advance!!

you should do a
