hey someone want to try the media hub in galaxy s i dont think to work in troyo i have tried but dont connect to internet the app is extract from Epic4G new update
Installs fine on JPH, clicked through the EULA and then it hangs and closes on an unknown error
Tried it on an i9000. App starts but says "Unknown error. Please try again." and this is as far as it goes. I suppose it's because I'm not in the US.
EDIT: I'm on JM1 (not that it matters). I also tried Market Access with T-Mobile simulation, but it didn't make a difference. It either checks the IP or uses my location or checks the phone model or who knows what else...
same here. installs fine, click through EULA, but getting Unknown Error. Please retry.
on JM7, rooted
sorry guy i think to is only for us sprint network

It's a problem with the WiFi drivers....try taking the stock WiFi drivers....either that or you spoiled your WiFi hardware

after that only shut them offf...
otherwise u are stuck the way u are now....

Wifi wouldn't switch on when I was on stock it would give error like you said sometimes even after entering the code to load the drivers I had to restart my phone
Then I flashed cm7 and the problem vanished. Although when I reverted to stock the error was back

welll for that had u used a nandroid backup to revert??
Maybe the baseband is a problem. Try a different baseband and see. Since you are telling that wifi works in cm7, maybe there is a problem with your stock rom.

Nop!! You can't revert from a cm rom to a stock rom by a nandroid backup you have to use odin

Can't turn on Wifi and Blueetooth, gives error
Hi, I just purchased a samsung galaxy ace gt s5830 that came from korea. The phone was initially working fine and had 2.2.1 froyo running on it. But this set did't allow more than 80 characters in text message and converted into an mms. I thought I should updgrade it to gingerbread so I downloaded gingerbread 2.3.6 and upgraded the phone via Odin. Since then, my wifi and bluetooth don't work. when i try to turn on the wifi, it says "Error". I have tried all possible solutions but was never successful. tried those codes like *#526*, *$528* and many other codes but no use. I also thought of going back to froyo 2.2.1 and downloaded a stock rom and flashed it but still the same error.
Now can anyone suggest a solution here so that either I can revert to the korean firmware (since I can't find one for korean region) or I can fix the wifi and blutooth error.
Please Please help!!! I purchased it to present it to my wife on her birthday but now its all messy
any of u try updating to 2.3.6

You can set static IP with the built-in Settings app(Wireless & networks, Wi-Fi
settings, menu key, Advanced).
Use this application.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/wifi-static/com.farproc.wifi.statIc
thanks for this answer , but i'm still wondering why before installing cmw , my wifi was working flawlessly , and now i'll have to install this?!
and also what about this damn cmw that's here and still not working, is there a mean to remove it?!
This is common issue after CF root, and occurs due to binaries
Install busybox, open busybox and install binaries inside busybox application, once successfull installation it shud work
Otherwise
Flash stock kernel - wifi will strat working again
then root - install busybox - install binaries, then flash CF root kernel.
thanks doc for your answer ,after reading it, i'm willing to flash the stock kernel , at least it'll remove me this Cmw, but i must confess that this operation scare me , heard a lot about the brick issues with the xxlpy kernel , so i need some advices :
1 - i've downloaded the rom but it's a no wipe one , will it remove the cmw and the super SU?! otherwise how should i do to remove it?!
2 - what are the risks and what should i do to avoid them
3 - if u cand send me some links about how to flash this rom and how to remove all from my phone i would be greatly grateful to you
thanks a lot for your answer and have a nice day
Which ROM you are using?
yes non wipe ROM also remove it, but m thinking just flash kernel not full ROM
thank you doc you're my savior , i've downloaded the N7000XXLPY_N7000OXALPY_N7000XXLPT_HOME.tar.md5
so i was willing to install it , and where can i find the kernel ? it it better to use the kernel only or does this one ok also , btw i've deleted all on my phone so i don't mind
also other problem - as if the actual one isn't sufficient --, i'm trying to install the usb driver for my computer but can't install them , kies is on my computer but still not detecting my phone , any idea about it
thanks a lot for your help i'm attached to my keyboard waiting for your answer
Oh you hav already download then just flash downloaded rom with.pc odin(with pda tab)
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
the problem is that my computer won't recognise my galaxy note even after installing kies / drivers , is there a solution to this ? what should i do i order to use odin and flash this md5?!
i' m begining to be mad !!!!
thanks doc i'm waiting impatiently for your help!!!!
Wifi Probs after rooting Note
Hello
I am having the same issues after rooting my Note.
Basically I'm using the UK ICS 4.0.3 Rom from Sammobile - N7000XXLQ2_N7000XXLPT_N7000XEULP4
FRESH ROM INSTALL UNROOTED - NO APPS ADDED
Checked that wifi picked up signal and worked ok
Checked that data connection picked up signal and worked ok
Checked phone was registered on network and seemed to be ok
Pretty fast by all accounts !
*****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
However...
NOW ROOTED - using CF-Root - SGN_XX_XEU_LQ2 - v5.6
APPS ADDED FROM PREVIOUS CWM 4.0.3 BACKUP IMAGE
YellowTriangle Away V 1.70 used to clear counts etc
Checked that wifi picked up signal and doesn't work
Checked that data connection picked up signal and works ok occasionally
Checked phone was registered on network and seems hit and miss - registered one minute then not the next - unable to make calls - have to keep searching for networks manually - turning phone on / off / battery in / out !
Followed the advice from the from the post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29554858#post29554858 - regarding 'SPEEDMOD K3-11'
****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Now when I open CWM manager app, I get the message "This version of CWM manager should be used with CF-Root v5.0 or newer. It appears you are running a different kernel.Various features have been disabled"
Also still - NO WIFI !
Just seems a bit odd ??
Don't know about you, but I'm wondering what else isn't working properly and is it actually worth rooting at all ??

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
as i said before , wifi is working - hope so - since i can see the networks available around , the only problem is that it's continuously try to get ip and log in ,
now i'm worried about that damn usb that won't recognize my phone , and let me use odin to reinstall my system
if anyone has an idea i would gladly listen
thanks everybody
is there any mean to install the firmware i've downloaded without using odin?!
thanks for your answers
don't be panic and your issue is not serious.
you can use Mobile odin if you having root. if your root is working then try flashing kernel with mobile odin
Still NO Wifi - After UK ICS 4.0.4 Upgrade!
Downloaded ICS 4.0.4 from 'checkfus downloader' today
Product Code: GT-N7000ZBAXEU
Latest firmware: N7000XXLRK/N7000XEULP5/N7000XXLRK/N7000XXLRK
Modified: 24/07/2012 11:17:01
Filename: GT-N7000_XEU_1_20120724111617_83hlhgn7j9.zip.enc2
Installed using ODIN - rebooted, checked 'About Phone' - Version 4.0.4
However I have since rooted it using the CF-Root-SGN_XX_XEU_LQ2-v5.6-CWM5
Yellow Triangle 1.70 - worked and cleared the counts etc
Installed binaries via 'busybox'
(Haven't reinstalled - 'Speedmod K3-11')
and it still suffers the same 'NO WIFI CONNECTION' problem I had with ROOTED 4.0.3 ics with apps I'd installed via a CWM backup rom image
Any tips on how to get wifi to connect would be helpful - cheers
thaank you dr.ketan the word u've sent me relieved me because , indeed i'm panicked rofl - btw the fact of finding the right words to comfort people....mm are u a real doctor? -
i'm hoping truly that your words are the reality and not only to reassure me hhhhhh
right now i'm copying the md5 and the odin mobile pro 2.45 on the micro card , cross fingers and wish me good luck guys
right now i've installled mobile odin pro on my phone , but the problem is that it's sticked to the loading screen where it' says that it's checking super user support , and i have some msg from time to time at the bottom of the screen saying that mobile odin pro has been granted super user autorisation for interactive shell but still waiting so i'm begining to wonder if the root is alright , and so i'm asking
can i re - root my phone using the cmw zip and the busybox zip on an already rooted device?! if yes i'll do it right now
thanks for your help i'm waiting for your answer doc
It seems you have partially rooted device.
And that is the reason wifi is not working, i am saying this since long, i fear you won't brick device just for small issue.
Still i am saying once see there is enough space on system ROM? (check it with overview page of Titanium), i think in partial root titanium still works, as it uses own binary. if no 15MB spcace remove some non harmfull app e.g. arura live wall paper, youtube,Goggle+ this can be installed later.
After this again install busybox
open busybox and install from inside busybox
you should see msg 'succesfully installed'
then open superSU, if asked update binary too.
then try wifi shud work,
PS : yes I M ENT surgeon
glad to see that u're doctor too - i'm doctor in anesthesia reanimation , and we have good contact with surgeons since they're all the time funny - glad to see that u told me that my problem is a small issue and it won't brick my device , so i'm feeling a little more relieved , but still have to solve the problem
and there's some questions :
1 - when opening super SU i have this msg : the su binary needs to be updated , continue? how can i update them since wifi won't work? is there some specific files that i can update by the memory card?!
2 - i have a full unroot button in the super su settings , would it be a good idea to fully unroot the device to re root it after with the busybox?!
i'm on my way to download and install titanium i'll tell you about space on system rom once i'm done
thanks a lot again doc

Take a backup of apps using titanium backup or go backup, and do a factory reset / wipe data. Before doing that, first make sure your wifi Access Point is properly configured for internet or not
This is most likely a kernel issue.
flash another kernel or reflash rom via odin.
Thank you all for the rapid and usefull reply
