[Q] why does my galaxy s isnt detected by pc?

before this problem happen, my pc give a notification : usb not recognised. then i tried to fix this problem by removing the usb driver and install it again. after the new driver was installed, my phone cant be detected.when i plugged in the usb to pc, it only charge the phone. the notification of connecting to pc at my galaxy s doesnt show up. ive tried on other pc also. still nothing.
how can i make my galxy s connect back to pc again?
odin did not recognize my phone. when plug to pc, no device connect sound. nothing. the only thing it does is charging my phone.

Connect USB to mainboard usb port .
Install latest Kies .
Reboot phone .
Connect phone with Debugging off .
Connect phone in USB mass storage mode and wait for windows to find drivers and install them .

I have exactly the same problem. I've tried all the above mentioned suggestions nothing worked for me

Had the same issue, try usb debugging on and then connect to pc or mac

Tried that as well and still not recognized. I'm beginning to this the problem is from the phone itself, cause i've tried it on my PC and Mac and both had the same results (not recognized)
However the phone is working normally, except to this problem

Check for damaged pins in phones micro usb socket.Use fine needle to straight them up.I had the same problem and my phone now is fine.

Still cant detect. Btw, what lin ur talking bout?

I will bet you.Just look properly in usb micro socket.Took me about 15 minutes to work this out.Czeck if the pins not touching them selfs.

[Q] Kies on PC does not work via USB?

Hi,
I can't connect my Note to Kies using USB.
Tried installing the drivers again, Different ports. It works via Wifi but not USB?
Also tried switching from MTP to USB storage mode and back but it's not working?
Anyone got any idea's

Hi,
Try to manually update your USB drivers (in the Windows Hardware Divice Manager)
When you open it you'll either see a device with a question mark or find the Samsung under USB devices.

Try a reboot of pc after doing connection troubleshooting through Kies, als disconnect and reconnect phone to pc and pass lockscreen on phone

Need help with connecting to PC

Hello I have problem with V28c, I installed it and after week I can't connect my LG to pc, when I connect it finds it as "Unknown device" and shows"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)", I have tryed take off battery, factory reset, all pc connections, restart pc, changed USB cables, changed USB ports, in S/W Update mode it don't connect to pc, and I can't do something with it! Help me please!

Got the latest drivers installed? Maybe your usb port broke... check if there maybe is dirt in your usb port. Also if you have the chance, try to use another pc, just in case your pc is the problem. Had the same problem once

Latest drivers installed, I have tryed front and back USB ports and other USB cable. No changes. Now I can't try on other pc

i have an lg p970..when i connect it to my pc it not recognize him but the phone is chraging..it's the only thing that the phone does when i connect it to pc.(cammera is not working,it's not vibrating and it dosen't recognize my sd card) sorry for my bad english PLEASE HEL ME!!!!

USB charges but not recognized

im on zeus v7 and windows 7 on laptop...i always used to connect phone via usb to transfer..but suddenly gave me NOT INSTALLED error message and not recognized ..reinstalled drivers and ticked usb debugging and tried diff. ports but nothing happens tho its charging
any ideas?

Bro,it happened to me when i was using my old phone.Just use WiFi File Transfer from Play Store if you have got Wifi

thats what i would do but now i have another new friend's phone needs to be rooted and when i connected it now it didnt get recognized too and i have no idea how else to root it without usb..so i have to get usb working :/

Guys any help about this plz?!
P.S :
- phone was recognized on other laptop so nothing wrong with phone
-flash disks are recognized on my laptop so usb is working fine
-is there anyway to root phone thru wifi ? or without pc ?!

Remove the drivers and reinstall the drivers for the USB LG

did that manytimes but if you have a link for usb lg give it to me ..might be diff. ! well i tried everything i know nothing worked out

There must be something wrong with your computer OR you have wrong usb or adb drivers or you dont have them at all..
Try going into recovery or bootloader mode , connect your phone
and see what's on the screen.Btw what system are you using

yeah its a pretty sure smth wrong with pc..cuz i had another o.b last night to root and didnt get recoginzed tho both worked on another pc and flash disks work properly too !
now what just happened when i tried to connect says : one of the usb devices attached has malfunctioned and didnt recognize ( unknown device .. unused port )..i reinstalled drivers and still same..if you have another link for updated lg drivers? or any other ideas?

some possible reasons :
wrong drivers
bad drivers signatures or signatures recognition issues, or drivers wrongly installed
insufficient resources for usb ports
defective cable
defective usb port
try this as soon as possible :
access to win boot menu and disable signature verification. then plug the phone and see if it's recognized. if yes, this simply means you'll need reinstalling windows completely.
PS : don't use hal. if you don't know what this is, ignore that << PS >> : )

PC won't detect the device.

After hours the device is active (i9000t) the pc will detect it. However, when I try to get to download mode to flash another ROM, the pc won't detect it.
After I turn it on again, the pc still won't detect it. I'll have to wait a few hours before it will be detectable again.
The device is on stock ROM, not rooted.
Can anyone help me? I have all the drivers...

I did. No change.

For USB,
(i) re-install these drivers 64 bit | 32 bit and then
(ii) check cable
(iii) follow this link for exhausted solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27205737&postcount=4571

Try to update the USB driver by updating Samsung Kies.
It helped me.

"USB Debugging" in settings > applications > development > usb debugging - turn it on

I think ur's usb is wrong

I have same problem, but phone does't detects only on PC (or notebook) with Win 8 64bit. I tryed other computer (win 8 64 bit), other cable, installed Sams drivers, Kies - nothing helps. But if i connect phone to PC or notebook with Win7 - it's ok, no problem. That's interesting problem with Win 8. It's was ok about 1-2 weeks ago on both my PC and note, and now i have this trouble on both comps...
Phone firmware is CM 10.1/

But my pc detects my note... the problem is when the phone is on download mode.

R: PC won't detect the device.
Have you closed kies? Are you shure that all kies process are closed?

Well I have just recently purchased a i9000t to use the aboard to fix my other one. Turns out I've fixed my original problem and now i can't connect to pc via usb. Only charges. After playing with settings on the phone the pc eventually detects something but it was only on modem and it was unrecognized and drivers wouldn't install.
Anyway after inspecting the usb port on the phone i can see corrosion right down to the soldering on the board where it looks like cookie crumbs.
So anyone having usb detection problems should inspect the USB port.
