You should really consider clocking up to at least 1400 you'll notice a huge difference as long as your rom/kernel is stable at higher speeds. If your scared of overheating you can set a profile to change your clock settings once it reaches a certain temp.

But... It's smooth as it is just a question, why do you overclock? For games, or for smoothness in the os? Because I have a Nexus 7 for games and everything, I don't need a super powered phone. Even my N7 is usually underclocked
Another reason I don't overclock is because my phone is unstable at higher frequencies with my voltage settings. If I raise the voltages it will use more battery :/
But they said, I am setting my phone to 1.2GHz now to try

ok i'll try it and btw whats your current rom??
Hi there.
I was wondering which governors and IO scheduler combinations are you using, or what would recomend for others . Im talking about ICS based roms. In order to try and help ppl i think that the combinations are suppose to be in this order:
1. Best battery life
2. Casual/daily (no much gaming, few calls, bit of data and wifi use)
3. Performance for gaming and such but still keep in mind about battery.
I found out that hellmanor kernel set with lionheart and cfq, gives me the best battery.
Didn't try anything else coz i need a ever lasting battery life.
Thanks for your participation

I have IZS with kernel 0.4. I don't have many governors, but I'm using Lionheart with ROW as IO Scheduler.
Governors and scheduler
Hello this is my first post and i wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am from Spain and don`t speak english very well. It is a pleasure to participate in this wonderful forum.
I have Jelly Bean Mackay 2.7.2 and now i´m using Lionheart with Row as IO Scheduler. Before I was using Interactive with Row but the battery life was very little.
Greetings.
I'm use to the stock firmware with IZS kernel.
Governors - interactive,
scheduler - row. Very good balance.

Although it is a different device, here are some benchmarks:
CPU Governors and I/O Schedulers
Summary of the Results
SmartassV2 won the governor benchmarks, and also performed well in the battery drain benchmarks.
The best I/O scheduler to combine with this is noop.

You can't rely on names. You must also remember that while most kernels have same governors, they are tuned in a different way.
So let's say interactive on one kernel will perform different with another kernel. Best way is to know how it was tuned and the user experience.
Like 2 same cars, same engine but with different tuning. Know how it was tuned then drive it.

Two days with Lionheart/row and battery consumption is very high. I'm going to try again with interactive/row to see if it improves the consumption of the battery the Mackay Rom (ver. 2.7.2).
Regards
I have V30C stock rom with Adagio 0.1a kernel,
I'm using intellidemand governors with vr as IO Scheduler. Battery life was very good.
I'm running the Marvel 11 (N00by) kernel and I've had good luck with setting the governor to "Performance" and the scheduler to "cfq".
Can't say that this is absolutely the best, but my battery life literally doubled from 9-22 hours to 22-48 hours. I get plenty of "Deep Sleep" mode.
I read an interesting tidbit on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26329039
I thought the most relevant thing concerning the Performance governor was:
"there is growing evidence to suggest that running a phone at its maximum frequency at all times will allow a faster race-to-idle. Race-to-idle is the process by which a phone completes a given task, such as syncing email, and returns the CPU to the extremely efficient low-power state."
I tried the last 3 days with performance and cfq, not the best, but it seems better than others, i guess there is something in that.

Currently on Mackay 2.7.6 and running the default interactive gov. with ROW I/O scheduler. Installed this ROM less than 24 hours ago. With moderate to heavy use with wifi on and off, battery is now at 63%.
Will have to try this for a week or so with regular charging cycles before I can draw any conclusions.
As someone else mentioned, the governors and schedulers for different kernels and ROM's probably can't be directly compared. However, it is interesting to compare to other people who are running the same ROMs and kernels and see what results they found.
Mi favourites are smartassv2 , ondemandx and sio and vr

Check if it enters in deep sleep, 806 is high, ur cpu life will decrease
Don't use more than 600, that's enough for our mini, only thing our mini needs is, greater RAM

It is better now to activate or the disabled? (And if it is given how active?)
Use this thread to post your CPU settings: Clock speed, Governor and I/O Scheduler. This kind of thread exists for other devices so I assume this is acceptable.
Here are mine:
Max Speed: 832 MHz
Min Speed: 832 MHz
Governor: lagfree
I/O Scheduler: vr
I'm trying to aim for maximum performance with my settings, ignoring battery life.
U can put governor performance
Do you think that's better than lagfree?
