Upgraded the Tab 2 P3100 to JB 4.1.1 P3100DDCLK1 successfully. Also got root working.
Two problems I feel are lower throughput on 3G (could be my service provider as its not known for good coverage (AirTel India))
Other problem is that Kies has stopped recognizing the Tab though its official ROM
is this expected if you flash manually?
Sorry but this is p1000 forum, and I think nobody can help you here.
Good luck.

Hey,
I've asked myself if it's possible to flash any Gingerbread rom,Cyanogenmod, or the official one (from the 3G Version) to the Wifi-only G-Tab P1010?
Has anybody already done it and if what are your experiences?
Greetings
Sorry for spelling mistakes.
My guess is no...
Wifi Tab has down-graded hardware which is not competible with 3G Tabs.
I know, but shouldn't this problem mainly effects drivers, because even with the downgraded CPU/GPU it is still more powerful than a Nook Color, for example and Cyanogen is running on this one.
No. Its definitely impossible to sucessfully flash roms for P1000 on P1010 period. Of course in the future we will have custom roms for Wifi version but not now.

Thanks Nabu,
but do you or anybody else know something about an official release of Gingerbread to the Wifi-Version, I'm mean Samsung just annouced these updates for Galaxy Tab, does this mean both ones or only the p1000?
If anybodys knows something or has a link, post it.
Hello, I also have a Galaxy Tab Wifi Only and would like to know if anyone is working on a rom or any other kind of upgrade from the original 2.2.1 to a 2.3.x firmware.
Another thing is that I have installed KIES in my PC but it doesn't recognize my Tab and can't find the drivers anywhere.
I'm assuming this Tab in not upgradeable to 3.x right?
If anyone has any info its really appreciated.
Thanks

Ok do not.... DO NOT try to flash your GT-P1010 wifi only tab with anything else other than what a Dev says so, and I would wait a few more weeks as there is a honeycomb rom in the works at the moment but its not official yet and nothing ready even to try, but it will if it is possible (which think will not be too much of an issue) be posted in the Android Development threads, so keep an eye out there.
but let me stress right now, you can only root your device and over clock it.. thats just about it for now PLEASE DO NOT TRY anything else for now.
Hi, I just received an i9220 from my Chinese girlfriend which is basically the same Galaxy Note as the N7000 only with a different code and firmware. Now being in the US and the i9220 being bloated with Chinese crap apps and no Google Play store, I am trying to convert the i9220 to N7000 firmware. I saw a couple threads having it done under ICS, but none under Jelly Bean. Could you guys help me with the required files and steps to do this operation?
Thanks.
These are the specs :
not very sure.. but i think the N7000 roms will work on this phone as it has the same hardware.. but still do it at your on risk..
It did work by using the n7000 official Hong Kong rom available on sammobile. It works perfectly well with the Play store and all the Google apps this is great! The only small problem is a small yellow rectangle upon bootup. I guess I could live with that.
So to confirm, it is safe to use a n7000 rom.

Sweet! Thanks!
Actually there is an issue :crying:
Since i was on Wifi the whole time I just realized that my mobile data doesn't work...
I get proper signal seeing the E-3G-H-H+ depending on my location, seeing the download upload arrows working, but there is no access to internet or to any other app.
What do you recommend me to do?

You can go to sammobile.com site and look in the firmware section to see if there are any available updates.
If the phone is not network locked, it does not matter which rom you flash. You can go ahead with he latest one ex. LTA.
Then download the firmware and flash using odin.
1st been there and only lt9 which is voda cpw and orange not o2 2nd not network locked to o2 i have flashed many custom roms in past just got fed up of incompatability issues or other probs with custom roms not saying there bad as there not just my experiance of said roms led me back to stock i honestly thought that o2 should of had bug fix update by now all the other uk networks have as stated earlier my sg2 which is o2 also has had four updats since its jelly bean release and it has no issues but my note got jelly bean near begining of year and since nothing at all ive tried kies no update availiable same when check over air latest update installed

Then you should be able to manually update to LTA.. though there is not much of a difference between LT9 & LTA. Does not matter it its from UK or any other region.
The thing is i honestly dont want to flash my phone again ive managed to run stock since official release and its been a bit slow from time to time but to be honest i have had no bootloops or freezes or incompatiable issues apart from that group thing with wifes s4 but thats the s4 as its fine with s2 i have tried hard not to flash again and its not easy with lt9 and lta about but i thank you for your reply

Firstly, i'm really sorry for being such an ignoramus on the subject of this phone. I am actually an experienced IT 'professional' but for the life of me i can't find what looks like a reliable method for updating the firmware on my GT i9305 LTE handset... I bow to your knowledge of all things Android...
I am running version 4.1.1 and would very much like to upgrade to the latest 'stable' version of android. I am based in the UK and am on the EE network using a 4G contract.
Kernel Version 3.0.31
Build number JRO03C.I9305XXALI5
So far I have tried:
1) Going into the phone's Settings>About Device
- result - no "update" software option is shown
2). Downloading and installing Kies 3 and updating the firmware with the built in facility
-result - awful! the updater gets to 15% downloaded and then disappears. Though processes are still running...
3) Downloading Samsung GS3 Toolkit
- result - i have been too scared to go any further as i can't seem to find what looks like a good and reliable ROM for this phone (GT i9305 LTE) on EE...
Question - does it even matter which network i'm on as far as the ROM is concerned? What about the country as long as it's English?
If anyone can help me with this i would be most most grateful!
Charles
Use this, pre rooted E E rom.

i already did, everything seems to work, cwm is on, root is on, just didnt test to downgrade yet. And you cant install costum kernel for now
Thanks! Do I need to change modem after flashing or not? Or It is better to reflash 4.3 since I am rooted and Download 444 via OTA
i flashed it and works great...no need for wipe or modem...internet still work( 4G ).
My phone has been running Stock 4.3 since it went out. Fact is that I always used Screen Mirroring feature with no problems over that version, but yesterday I updated my Galaxy S3 i9305 to the latest firmware, 4.4.4. Now, don't know why my phone can't connect to my SmartTV as well as always it did.
Can anyone tell me any reason, please? My phone is running quite well, but not with that feature wich I use so often...
Thanks in advanced
