Promise to pay forward as soon as I receive codes
Your are welcome. Happy Holidays. When I get another one I will definitely post it up.
If I select a monthly payment, will the 35% be on just this one month or will it follow through for the full 24 months?
If only for the single month then I guess it makes more sense to buy the full pre-paid deal.

Right, but this is what it says under each plan amount: "Coverage only available for new <insert device here> bought in the past 30 days".
Looking at their FAQ's, it's within 30 days for an Ebay purchase, 90 days for any other retail purchase. And another part of their FAQ's say only 30 days, period. Either way, my tablet purchase is past the 90-day mark, so blah. lol

Sorry if this is redundant to Black Friday post but I thought it was worthy of attention.
If you have purchase an AT&T tilt within the last 30 days, the original purchase point will credit you back 50% of purchase price today through Sunday only! (Fri.23, Sat.24, Sun.25))
I just got them to credit back $150 to my account! I thought that the credit was post rebate, which would have made the credit $100, but I got the full $299 price reduced by half! SCORE!
Everyone that can should take advantage of this rare gift from AT&T.
i believe it's only certain states that get the 50% off.

Yeah, its all west coast states. Sucks because I bought mine within 30 days but I live in VA (east coast)! Bah... AT&T strikes again!

same here I'm in Missouri and I bought mine on the 13th this month, so maybe they'll drop the prices here in a week or so.
I called an ATT store and they said there's no credit back or any discount on a purchased tilt!!
what if you ordered the tilt from the premier site?? Does this count for a 50% refund?
30 day price matching
I had to physically go into the store but others were able to call in.
Don't let them bull**** you and tell you otherwise, everyone is eligible, the caviat being it had to purchased from AT&T direct.

Do you live on the west or east coast? I'm on the east and went to the AT&T Tilt page on their site. If I put in my zip code, it's still $300. If I put in a zip code from the west coast (I tried San Francisco, California), it's $150.
Called ATT just right now and they credited my account 150$. It took me 45 min and asking for the supervisor to get to it. Now im just waiting for the 100$ rebate to sweeten the deal.
I was only able to get $100.00 but I ordered it back in mid Oct. so I missed the 30 days by 5 days! But then I'm not going to sneeze at $100.00!
I just (2 hours ago) bought a tilt from ATT website for 399 w/ 100 rebate. R u telling me I can get another 150 back? I dont care if it took two hours - I would love to get my phone for 150. What is the offer info?
Damn I order it back when it first came out.
just add an additional line for $149 after $100 rebate
Can someone give me the info on the deal? I can find the 50% off select phones, but I cannot find any HTC, much less Tilt incl in the offer. I would like to get 150 back - who wouldn't? - and if I have the info I will, but what am I going to say, "People on the forum are getting it - why can't I?"? I am not too confident with that approach. If you got the deal there had to be an offer - so where can I see the offer besides word of mouth?
Please.

I just went in and purchased the Tilt and got the 50% offer. Now as mentioned it's in 'select' states but I think a simple call to a local office should suffice. I will say that when I went in, it was marked at that price too. It's basically $249.99 with a 2yr Contract (new or eligible upgrade) less the $100 mail-in rebate... here in Sacramento, CA... so net price of $149.99 after rebates + tax.
As to the refund... well I'd think you'd only be eligible to get that as if you were going to return it and re-buy it. Under that criteria, if you can do that, then you should be entitled to the refund. If it was purchased online, etc., not too sure what the specifics would be...
Thanks! I will check it out tomorrow. For sure.

Good luck! If you're within 30 days, there should be ZERO reason for them to give you any problem - provided it was from an AT&T Corp store. I'd position it as 'Well I can just return it and then re-buy it.' Maybe choose better wording but you get my point...
the torrent of swears that i have to unleash because i bought my phone 2 days too early would without a doubt get me banned from this forum.
hmm..i vvas gonna ask this today but too busy vvorking at the mall...ill ask tomorrovv
Normally, the SquareTrade warranty is $39.99 and $49.99 for the 8GB and 16GB models, respectively (all values in USD). If you buy the warranty through their Nexus 7 landing page (http://www.squaretrade.com/nexus7) you'll get $10 off, so $29.99 and $39.99. Offer expires 17 August 2012. The warranty is good for 2 years and includes accidental coverage from handling (spills, drops, etc.). They can also adjust the warranty to start when you actually received your Nexus 7, not when you purchased it.
Searched their site for a minute to get some details. There is no deductible for tablets. Shipping is free both ways. Once the parts and labor for any repairs reaches the original purchase price of the device, the contract is considered fulfilled. If it is damaged beyond repair, they will cut a check or make a paypal deposit in the amount of your original purchase price and consider the contract fulfilled. They guarantee 5-day turnaround. 5 days from when you ship the device to them, they will have it repaired and shipped back or pay you for the device. There may be other terms that I did not find on the site, or that I simply forgot but it sounds pretty good to me. I'll be purchasing a plan since I will soon have 3 kids under 3 years old. Who knows what's going to happen to my precious Nexus.
I just wanted to share this discount with you all since I haven't seen it posted yet. For those lucky enough to be able to find a one-time-use 30% off discount, thumbs up for you! I couldn't find any that weren't used so this is my best bet.
Also noted that under the pull-down for Maufacturer there is no Google, so I'm assuming te choice will be Asus.

You can usually find 20% off (which is what this offer is essentially) but they do 30% as well, and I know from working with them that they do pay. My daughter borked an old Nikon compact camera and we shipped it to them and they cut me a check for cost of the item. No fuss or muss.

I haven't filed a claim with them but their reviews seem to be pretty good. You do have to submit a police report for instances of theft or vandalism and if your device is stolen from your car, there has to be signs of forced entry. Also, it doesn't cover loss, just theft.
Most premium credit cards like Discover or Amex have a 90 day accidental damage, or theft coverage policy automatically applied to purchases on the card. They also double the 1 year warranty to 2 years. I have used it before when my puppy chewed up a new pair of expensive exotic leather boots and the process was rather painless.
Personally, I'll probably take the risk on skipping a paid warranty. These devices have a pretty short lifespan for me before I rotate it out for the next newest thing.
Just purchased the warantee for my N7/16GB.
I'd really like to take advantage of this but if I bought my nexus 7 off of craigslist then am I straight out of luck? Not sure what the purchase date is and where it was purchased from (but it is an 8GB so it has to be from the Google Play Store right?) I also don't have the receipt.

I never buy any extended waranty. In Canada there is a mandatory 1 year manufacturer waranty. If an electronic device does not die in the first year, it will most likely live it's designed life (there a a statistical probability for this). Most electronic devices "die" because they become obsolete not because they stop working. To pay $40 for a $200 device, is just trowing money out of the window. My 2 cents.

While I agree with you.... people don't buy this for the increased warranty, they generally buy it for accidental damage insurance.

I have young children. I am careful, but sometimes I make mistakes. If something happens a year and a half from now, I would get the full purchase price back, even though the tablet would have depreciated in value.
Back when I had no kids, yes, I would consider it a waste. Now? Not so much. Thanks for your help though.

With SquareTrade, it's just "Android Smartphone, 2yrs for $125" I'm a little leery of the stated $99 deductible. ~$200 to cover? Square Trade is awesome, but 1/4 the price of the device, and almost as much as you paid on contract seems a little steep.
Hard to decide between SquareTrade and Sprint.
SquareTrade is cheaper monthly at $7 than Sprint at $11, but Sprint covers theft and loss. Also, if your phone just stops working, Sprint will replace it for free (but with a refurbished unit); whereas SquareTrade will give you a check for the full retain value of the phone so you can buy a new one. SquareTrade deductible is only $99 while Sprint is $200 I think for the Note II if you just bust the phone. With Sprint you can get it repaired locally or replaced within 2 days. With SquareTrade you are looking more at a few weeks. Sprint will give you a loaner phone while yours is being repaired or replaced whereas with SquareTrade you are phoneless (a problem).
Hmmm. Have to stick with Sprint. More expensive and higher deductible but much more convenient and broader coverage.

I did the math and this is less expensive option than getting a protection plan through T-Mobile or other carriers.
At $7.99/month, that's 95.88 for 1 year and that's not including the deductible.
The Squaretrade warranty is $125 for 1 year without the discount (which would make it less expensive so I WANTS A CODE!!!)
30% off $125 is a total of $87.50 and the deductible is $90.
WE NEED MORE CODES!!

I keep wavering on whether to pull the trigger on this or not, but with all of the glass on our phones, I'm paranoid as hell.
If we paid the typical $500 - $600 for the phone, off contract, it is probably a no-brainer, but at $299 (8GB model), it's tough to justify.
Today's deal is a max $30 off, for a 2=year warranty, making it $95. Add in the $99 deductible, and you're at a total cost of $194. $299 - $194 = $105 worth of "risk".
In other words, I have to pay $194 to save $105, IF I break my phone. Just don't know if that is worth it.
I thought it was cheaper than that. Given the life cycle of these phones and the chance that they actually break, its not justifiable especially if Google is going to keep this price format. A new nexus every year. Selling previous nexus on flea bay, let's say $150 making sure to take special care of the your nexus and buy a new nexus yearly for around $200.

It is most likely that there will not be any Black Friday or Cyber Monday promotions on the Note 4 by T-Mobile. They have had some online web-only promo codes for $38 (or was it $48) dollars off, but that has since expired. I would recommend you check the t-mobile front page every couple of days or so to see if they bring that deal back again. Last I saw the promo code for the web-only promotion was "NOTE4DEAL" but I believe it has since expired as mentioned before.
Best Buy has also ran out of stock on the Black Note 4 T-Mobile model for $699, so maybe check with them to see if they restock.
Frankly speaking, there will probably not be any significant deals on the Note 4 that would net you over a $50-100 discount anytime soon. So it really depends on if you would like to wait another couple of months and maybe find a deal, or spend the money to get it now.

Costco had a TMO deal that expired 12/1 where they gave you $125 in Costco Rebates and waived the taxes for the Note 4. I was on JUMP paying down my Note 3 at $31 a month and just traded it in (I have to mail it in 30 days) for the Note 4 at $31 per month. That was the best deal I came across.
