AOKP is an awesome custom Android firmware. (just like MIUI and CyanogenMod).
AOKP is based on AOSP and looks as vanilla as possible, and focusses on lots and lots of user-friendly features. What makes it different from CM is that there are many more user-customizable features.
KANGXPERIAPROJECT
This ROM is a combined work of all members of KangXperiaProject.
AOKP is not officially supported on any of the Xperia smartphones. So we made a Kang XperiaProject team comprising
Supervenom , Championswimmer, Pikpok, mikegapinski
We maintain sources from which we build (not winzip porting) AOKP for all the Xperias.
We are not any great developers (all teenagers). We are just trying to provide users with more ROM options
Our work is not possible without using sources from FreeXperiaProject, and CyanogenMod project.
Changes to the UI / framework / functionality of the ROM is the work of Team Kang
Changelog is released with every official build here ---> http://aokp.co
Changes specific to Xperia devices are maintianed by us here

Boot phone, go into recovery (press vol-up(2012) or back(2011) when led is purple)
IF COMING FROM SOME OTHER ROM, make factory wipe then go into mounts/storage and format system (not needed if updating AOKP)
install zip from sd card then flash gapps if you want them (kernel is flashed automatically with zip for 2012 models, for 2011, fastboot flash the kernel)
reboot and enjoy

you are da man, thx for your work, to late for me flashing now but .....
edit:first test: some random reboots during playing with phone settings, wifi not work properly(but this one is known), bit laggy or freezes sometimes... more to follow
edit2:i can take some random reboots during holidays, but not to be without wifi
waiting for wifi fix
Looking forward to testing this out in January when my new phone arrives!
Would the provided boot.img work for stock roms?

thx a lot
1 q, the twrp kernel you posted in ray section, possibility of integrating twrp in other kernels, will it work for V too?
i am releasing TWRP on V soon.. in a few days
Thanks so much for the ROM! Trying it out...
tested since yesterday, wifi working now, will test more intense today, but i have lot of random reboots, do i need format system before installing?
did the usual things: wipe system, cache, dalvik... rom is fast
thanks for your work
Edit: phone is rebooting randomly very often, it happens regardless what i´m doing with the phone will try to re-install and format system before
Edit 2: not possible to connect sd card through usb to pc, same in recovery, reboot to recovery does not work, formating system does not change random reboot problem
back to stock for a while

Re: [AOKP][JB] Xperia V - KangXperiaProject - [Milestone1 - R2]
1 question. When do you plan on releasing an update? I'm not asking for ETA but when. Like once a month etc.
Sent from your backyard...
Slender watches what you do...
now that again is asking for ETA only
well see the thing is, i am trying to decide whether to provide an update here or straightaway release 4.2
4.2 can be released but i need to redownload all the sources, and set up the environment
on the other hand on 4.1 i am still working on the camera,
there will certainly be something within 2-3 weeks

i'd prefer 4.1 but with working camera and external sd. but if u can do the same with 4.2 - it'll be better.

I think mechmetal should jion with KXP team to enhance the process of making AOKP-JB ROM for Arc, his helpful AIO fix for AOKP Milestone 6 make me come back to AOKP again, and it really really makes the ROM fly, I do belive he can help make this JB ROM fly too.
Thanks mate, but still i have long way to go...will always help when possible .

i guess these bugs are probably kernel related.. i will go back to stock for now i guess :crying:
is the recovery page suppose to be upside down here too?
The whole ROM is upside down for me. I have a working "right side up" recovery, but the ROM still shows upside down. Thoughts?
Have a look in sensors.conf in system/etc? Could be something there

could someone add this line in the build.prop
ro.sf.hwrotation=180
and report back if it works ??
(it's Kali-'s idea... so kudos to him if it works )

Oh I see this issue I've seen in Dark Passion ROM for TX, the recovery and the whole ROM after flashing is inverted, upside down! The developers are saying maybe I have downloaded the wrong file but I tried it 3 times still the same result.
How to add this line? ro.sf.hwrotation=180
Thanks.
Three Musketeers Proudly Present.....
Welcome to the Darkside....
Dark Passion - Unofficial Paranoid Android 2.55
This started as me compiling Paranoid for a few friends over on the Galaxy Nexus and then after a while it was getting modified everytime I compiled it, to add more and more 'Inverted Apps' and its got to the stage now where its all just about inverted.... when one of my friends suggested we should release it on there because it was 'good enough' we thought why the hell not... So now I've got a Xperia T and thought that you guys over here might like a touch of the Darkness on your phone. Because of the quality of the screen, the 'INVERTED' appearance looks awesome on this...
As stated this is compiled from source by me. Its just the plain compile, with no cherry picks (yet). We have added various things and taken some out to make it better for us and we will be releasing as is. Now this is made for our little circle of friends and I will not be changing it from how it is now... So please don't ask for the old apps to be added back. If you want a plain standard version of Paranoid, use the official version as that is the benchmark we all try to rise too
I will endeavor to update at least once a week, and update the inverted apps accordingly. Some of the inverted apps I use like Google+ will obviously try to update through Play Store when they are updated. If you update it will revert it to normal, so just simply turn off auto updates for them

Thanks for your contribution! Do you by chance have a list of anything in particular that doesn't work?
I may load this when I get back from a business trip... need Voice and Bluetooth to be solid and I've had an issue with CM and prox sensor on calls.

Well it is obviously based on CM but I've not noticed any problems with proximity sensor on calls and as far as Bluetooth goes it turns on and I've been able to pair it up with my nexus, I don't have a BT headset or earphones so I've not been able to test with anything like that

I don't know to be honest... what are the differences between the two phones? I would say just try it, but I don't want to be reposible if it turns your phone into a paperweight
I really hope in the future T and TX roms can be made interchangeable, similar to when dev just started on Desire Z with the two different versions. Hope it is the same case for these two phones as they seem to be identical apart from design.
Hii,
After a long long time i'm back to XDA
This is mine first android phone. Before this one i have used iphone and HTC blackstone. So i need to learn a lot.
I have already rooted my phone with bin4ry method.
Next thing to learn is how can i boot in to recovery mode?
Or even better is there a dummies guide to flash custom roms for Xperia T?
thanks,

I believe it's kernel changes that are needed but not 100%. Kali in the FXP CM thread put up his device repo for the TX so you could have a look at that as championswimmer (think that's his name) has released an AOKP build for the TX using this which apparently works. If it's just kernel related that should mean you could have the ROM and kernel as separate files and then people can choose the relevant one to them or get the updater-script to check build.prop and install the correct files for the correct device.

Yeah I asked championswimmer what the differences were... I was thinking more on the make a flashable zip for the kernel for the TX so you could just flash after the rom, don't know whether that would work though.
I'm just compiling 2.52 now so once that is done, I will have a look for the TX kernel repo and have a look what will need to be done, at least compiling a kernel will take less time than compiling another rom lol
Edit: championswimmer has very kindly pointed me in the direction of the device files for the TX, so I will have a go at compiling one for the TX in a bit

7. Reboot and enjoy.
IMPORTANT NOTES :
This ROM requires you to have the baseband that comes with .253 firmware or newer. (You can flash only the baseband files using flashtool over the ROM, without having to wipe/reinstall) NFC and LTE will NOT work with older basebands.

The ROM in the link you mention is 'pollux', so yes you've flashed an lte ROM.
already back on stock firmware. gonna stay out until there is either a pac rom or aokp rom or baked black bean rom without the supppperr annoying zoom issue
Where are we at with the GPS on the Wifi units and AOKP? This is really the only item that is keeping me from using this ROM as a daily driver. I remember a discussion somewhere about waiting for 4.2.2 from Sony or something like that.
GPS was fixed in CM several weeks back, and since AOKP is based on CM, it should be fixed too.
Just wondering about Pollux_Windy support - the last nightly on the AOKP site is August sometime, what's the deal? I'd like to give it a try but don't want to go back more than a month from the CM nightly I'm using.
Just wanted to say thank you. I personally think you have got one of the best custom roms here for Xperia tablet Z on android 4.2.2. I was only getting a 3-6mb download on JB 4.3 and this rom I get 16mb to 20mb! Big Thanks, BIG thanks!:highfive:
Hi,
does MHL work with thin ROM? THX
Does ntfs/exfat work on the microsd? Official cyanogenmod has this feature. Maybe fxp as well but I never tried that ROM. Thanks
hey!!
i Can swap SD in this rom ?!
