Help Choosing Custom Rom - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, for the first time I'm planning to install a custom rom so infact I'm doing this only because of native app2sd support:fingers-crossed: but to be honest I want a full compatible custom rom which should support and run most applications from market and performance should be good just like the stock 2.1 if not better... and if possible then camera and all other major functions should be working in it without any bugs.
That's all I ask .. currently I'm thinking about :
cyanogenmod
GingerDX
GingerZaraki
but I don't know which one is better Don't really want to unlock bootloader / kernels unless really necessary..
Thanks in advance.

Unlocking bootloader & installing a custom kernel is highly recommended ( if u don't know how to unlock & required build date DON'T TRY IT)
Best rom for stock is Gingerdx (my opinion) very stable, smooth.
Camera, etc works fine & without bugs.
Native app2sd is also supported

First ou should not ask any others opinion for this matter. Must test some ROMs as per your choice and decide which one is better for you.
As you asked just I am sharing my experience. I tried almost all ROMs available on this forum. I found most suitable for me 3 ROMs.
1. GingerDX: Good stable rom. Working everything. less lag and FC.
2. Finally I choose Ginger Cruz 8.2. I liked this ROM only for Xperia like interface. Also stable and fast ROM.
3. You can try Froyo Pro v1.1. Its light nd fast rom for first use.
For any question can PM me.

try these roms. It will take just an hour to test both of the ROMs performance.

There is alot of custom roms and all of us has their favorite rom, so its all up to you to decide which rom suite you the best, try a couple of them and see by yourself, because all of us using their phones different and have a different expectations......
P.S. BTW iv been using alomost all roms out there and i find that froyoPro is the best choice( atleast for me) its fast, everything work like it should it dont have any battery drain and most important of all its stable very stable and fast even without overclock
giger dx > >. ..>
GingerXperia v11 with Alfs kernel v04. It's fast, stable and contains much RAM and great performance.
Gingercruzt v8.4 + alfs v4 custom kernel... If you are going for the semi-sony ericsson stock look.. hehehe.. in my opinion.. Smooth as butter!
I use GDX,GC,GX but they are not good for me now im using miniCM 2.1.5 + nAa 6b its very fast smooth and no lag battery life is also better than other roms

[Q] Stable Froyo Version For SE Xperia X8 E15i

Okay , it's been hours , and I found nothing fruitful.
I just want a stable ROM on my X8 , and get rid of my Eclair.
I want Froyo , not gingerbread.
My device is rooted , Got backups with Xrecovery. I have Stock kernal
Firstly , Gingerdx v021 had a buggy messaging application , and I removed it.
Froyobread resulted into a boot loop on my device (Recovered now using PCC)
And , I'm not able to find a clean version of Floyo 1.0 . I downloaded from two sources , and got different errors. (once a missing file , and second time a MD5 error).
Is there any genuine file for Floyo 1.0 , which is 100%working, if you suggest that ? Or is there anything much better ? Download links for those will be appreciated.
I dont wish to change my kernal , and want a very stable/smooth ROM , and highly preferable choice is froyo , since it would be more stable.
Somebody Please Help !!
Well . I'm using Minicm6 , which is 2.2.1 froyo, and I like it very much. Very responsive touchscreen, nice performance, good battery life, and... STABILITY! I've never experienced force close with this rom.

[Q] advantages and disadvantages some ROM

i just want to ask
im noobs here and need some instruction
can you explain me advantages and disadvantages of this rom ?
- gingerDX
- MiniCM7
sorry maybe some of you can help
thanks
Avantages Gdx , fast smooth , and minicm , smooth stable for daily use
Sent from my E15i using XDA
GingerDx fast and smooth, but for me sucks cuz it works on top of Stock and Alfs-GDX kernel which means that my phones WiFi dont work very well.
MiniCm fast and smooth maybe GingerDx is a bit faster and smoother, but it works on top of nAa and Alfs-Cm7 kernel which means no problems with WiFi for me and i think its perfect for day to day use if its supercharged.
Hit thanx if i helped.
wifi doesnt matter for me thanks for your opinion

if u dont know on ur own which rom to use better stuck with stock rom or go ahead and test both rom on ur own. if one rom wins in one thing other fails in something..imo gdx is good...

11W33 vs unlocking bootloader

Hey!!
I'm new on this forum. So I have rooted X8 (E15i) with 11W33 and I have GingerDX, but its slowly. I want to unlock bootloader for greater performance, but I read that bootloader unlock can permanently damage the phone. I search for safe roads to unlock phone, or better ROM for stock kernel. This phone Is my first with Android, so please understand me.
Dont try to unlock you wll brick ur phone. only below 11w29 its safe, above its playing with your luck:fingers-crossed:.
just try some stock kernel roms and find what suit you. i think dx is very good just update it or delete some unwanted apps that slow it down
if you want to check this support stock kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1237930
if you want to stay with dx you can speed it up by overclock it with this module that u can find it in his thread
(GingerDX Overclock Module (x8oc.ko v004) ) but dont set very high frequences.
thats not true
check this forum : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506502
u can now unlock the bootloader above11w29+.
It is still 50-50% chance for 11w29-11w34 and above that through you're phone after trying it, only if you're very lucky you can have it work on 11w35+..

If you can unlock bootloader:
Minicm7 is a good choice for day to day use, gaming.interface doesn't look pretty
iXperia 8s v1.9.0 is a perfect rom for gaming, high multitasking, much free ram, iPhone look you may like or hate it also fmradio doesn't work on this rom (& some other known bugs)
Minicm9 is quite stable (comparing to minicm9) needs swap partition for better responsibility, around 20% slower than minicm7, most of gameloft games force close (because of android 4) ,perfect interface (I love it)
Minicm10 is for experiences of jellybean , forget gaming , not stable (still in nightly versions)

You need an unlocked bootloader in order to play temple run(needs swap to extend RAM & better 3D performance)
