Can updating Busybox brick the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i?
On my previous phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia X8) when I updated Busybox, my phone was bricked.
Can this happen on this phone?
Thanks,

When I tried to update Busybox I got the error in the attachment.
I'm using stock ROM with XXLF3 (rooted) and V6 SuperCharger.
EDIT: Version 1.19.3 installs and works.

I rooted my Galaxy Ace using the upd_1.zip provided in the Sticky Thread which has the following version details.. :-
Superuser v2.3.6.1
Su Binary v2.3.1
Now, i get an update notification for Supeeuser in Google play store to update it to v3.1.3
Should i update the Superuser?.Cos last time i updated.. And then i checked for binary update.. It couldn't update the binaries..
So, i want to ask is it necessary to update the superuser because i don't know if the new v3.1.3 would work for galaxy ace or not ??

i rooted my galaxy pop GT-S5570, partitioned my sd card and installed link2sd app, installed cwm 4.0.0.5 and installed custom rom cymogenmod 10.1 jellybean 4.2.2 and downloaded supersu app one day i cleared my phone and i forgot that uninstalling supersu app by normal method will unroot my phone now i cant access any root based app like link2sd and rom toolbox etc which i need badly also it tells about something called as su binary (i have no idea what is su binary) updated which fails by normal and does not take any action by manually doing it through recovery mode(cwm)
pls help me
CM10.1/2 has it's on superuser app in settings. Try to open it and see if you can update binaries.

There is no option to update su binary nor a pop out window comes to update it on its superuser app

su binary is Superuser itself.
If you install SuperSU from Google Play, and you "cleared" your phone the root access won't be removed. Since the thing that root your phone isn't SuperSU but it's the su binary.
So if i successfully update su binary i can get the full root access back

I have used some application they need root. But some of them didn't work well. For example: GMD speed time, slash game buster and root checker said I'm not rooted. But it's false. I have rooted 4.0.3 than upgraded to jb than rooted again than unlocked the bootloader than flashed CM 10.2. What is the problem with these apps? Are they just simply not compatible with? Is there anyway to use these?

Run Root Checker to make sure that root access is enabled.

I m on cm 10.2 and root checker said I m rooted. When you run root checker, does the ask for root confirmation box appears? If not, check super user setting. May be it is auto denying the requests.

No it don't ask for root. I havi modified the settings to popup - nothing changed when its on auto enable - still says no root but for example in terminal I write su root it works fine.
The apps below are working great
