I recently rooted my NC and installed Honeycomb on it. I was finally able to (after days of trial and error) install the google apps on the Honeycomb via my Mac (I didn't have access to a PC).
Anyways, Maps works but that's about it. Gmail, Market, Talk do not work.
They don't even open and sometimes if they do they force close immediately. I never had the option to set up my google account when Honeycomb first launched on my NC. I'm wondering if that is the problem considering the apps that require your Google Account do not seem to be working.
I've tried to clear data from the application settings and even unistalled and reinstalled of them.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm getting the error message, "Google Play services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device." Google Now says, "To continue using Google Now, you need Google Play services, which is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance." WTF? I tried clearing the app's data and rebooting, but no dice. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No go. Any suggestions?
It was working fine before. I don't know what I did to break it, but it's frustrating. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, wiping dalvik & cache, and fixing permissions. No go. Any ideas?
Please, someone help me with this.

I have the same issue. Now previously worked, now doesn't.
Is it possible that this is related to the device ID? I have flashed several different ROMs lately and back to may daily driver. I don't recall if I maintained or changed the device ID.

I don't know, but I flashed another ROM, HyperDroid AOXP, to be exact, and haven't had any problems since.
Hey man I just got this tonight and fixed it. I can't say exactly what fixed it but what I did was unfreeze ALL my apps from titanium backup, clear the data from google play in applications manager and uninstalled the update. After resetting my phone and freaking out for about 5 minutes, my phone connected to google play and reinstalled google play services and worked again. So I may have done more than I needed to but it worked
I had the same message as the OP, and Google Keep was having issues due to not having Google Play services working. I tried to clear the data from google play services and google play in applications manager ... but I didn't have the option to clear data from Google Play services, and I didn't have Google Play at all listed there ... and that's how I found that my Play Store was gone altogether! So I just found a Google Play store apk online and sideloaded it, and I'm working again since then.
I've tried several ways of getting the play store onto my KFHD 7 and nothing works. .Apk files won't install, KFFAide says it worked but there 's still no Play store icon on my kindle and I still keep getting the 'google framework services has stopped' pop up.
I know everyone gets mad if you as a question, but I've tried so many times to get this to work and STILL can't get it to work! How can I start over fresh and get the damn play store?
Have you rooted your KFHD 7?
on stock KFHD 7, google services crashes since the version they released in June or so, using any google services before that works, but no youtube or other apps will work. its probably better to switch to CM
So, I've tried numerous installs of the Google Play store - all of which profess to be 100% reliable. None have resulted in me getting further than the Play Stre app revealing a 'Server Error'.
I've also tried any and all solutions to this.
I'm assuming it's not possible to access the play store via a Kindle 7" running 4.5.5
Thanks...
....By the way I have Google Play running absolutely fine in an UNROOTED HDX 8.9.... All the same versions of all Google files (Login Service, Framework etc...)
Ta.
<Bump>!
Alrighty then....Never unsubscribed from my own thread before
So I am running CM11 with 4.4 pico gapps package from Open Gapps. All of my gapps are downloaded from the Play Store with latest versions. Most of them work. However, I cannot get Google Duo or Google Maps to work at all. They force close as soon as they’re opened, often times as soon as the device boots up, also. I’ve tried alternate apps like Facebook Messenger for video calls and Waze for navigation. Messenger gives error message “Couldn't complete call: There is a call in progress. Please try again later" when trying to start a video call. Waze opens but the map stays blank. Again, these are the latest versions from Play Store. If anyone knows which versions of the 4 aforementioned apps will work on the Xoom running 4.4.4 or can provide APK for these I would be very grateful.

I've ditched all Google services on the Xoom. You just can't count on Google moving forward for this device anymore. For Waze, I'm using the old version 3.9.7.2.0 (from APK Mirror), which still runs well.
