I live in India and have a nexus 10 and want to buy this but when I click on buy it goes from eBay.com to ebay.in
Plzz help I want to buy it
I dunno 'bout you guys, but this definitely does not seem to be an official Google made one, but instead a 3rd party one.

That's because it is 3rd party. Just like when the iphone 5 first came out and apple didn't release the adapter for it, people got it on eBay from 3rd party retailers.

please do let us know if this cable is any good, and if there's truly a difference from opting to this instead of regular micro-usb, could be a phony.

Guys I would be skeptical about this. It is just the cable so you are gonna use the same charger transformer so it is not gonna charge any faster and 26 bucks totals seems like a rip. Also is this just for charging or can it transfer data? I'm gonna wait.

Once the OEM POGO cable comes out it'll cost about the same price. I'd wager it costs a little more because it's an "official" part.
As far as charging speed, it's already been found that the N10 is only pulling somewhere between 1.5 and 1.8 amps out of a USB 2.0 cable, which is a limitation of the cable itself and not the transformer. The theory being passed around the forums is that the POGO cable doesn't have the same limitation and can draw the full 2 amps.
Either way, leave us to check it out if you're skeptical. We're not signing any organs away. We know what we're getting into.

Never seen an app for it.
The only accurate way is to use an external ammeter. You could get a rough number using a household energy monitor, but that would include current used by the power supply
There are a few electrical engineers around this board, someone with a decent lab psu could graph the charging process start to finish

I also found this on amazon UK for the same price. But idk weather its free shipping or not
but hey this looks too good to pass up
I saw that too but I don't think I want a dock that uses the micro usb, I think the risk of damaging the port is a worry, the micro usb port on my old HD2 is VERY dodgy after a couple of year of use, it also doesn't do any sort of audio output, which I know the Nexus 7 can do over usb, I am going to wait for one which uses the pogo pins and does audio out so I can just drop it in it to charge with no worry about the usb port and can plug it into my sound system.
Well I found one on amazon UK so maybe the other countries that have amazon will bring it in stock or ebay as well.

I think the price will drop when it released, most companys list the price high before it get released and in mine country it's listed for 60$.
Think that will be normal price all around, since mine country are known for high price on everything and specially compared to US. Except if order direct from Samsung website and it will cost 99$. Since Samsung have a promote code for 50% and Im sure teh dock will cost around 45$ at store when it released.
The correct question is: Does it include Ubuntu?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Can you elaborate please? I mean the only reason I'm asking is for instance the S3 has been announced with it, so I guess the NoTe2 has the aptitude. plus as you can see on the picture there are two vacant connector pins which are quiet similar to the Nfc ones. It should be their purpose no?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
We know the S3 was announced with it, but it still isn't available in most of the world. Samsung is being very slow about it, and seeing how the S3 does not have a proper one yet, the Note 2 probably won't see one anytime this century.
I found this on eBay.

Yes the note2 has wireless charging.
You just need the unit.
Since the Note 2 uses a higher mA rate, will the currently available wireless chargers be effective? It worked on the GS3 due to a lower charging rate I assume. I saw posts where people stated they used 1A chargers from prior devices and it hardly charged their Note
2 at all.
Edit - I just realized a few minutes ago, you can use the 2A wall plug from your Note 2 right? Lol

The touchstone will charge the note 2 from 0 to 100% in about 6 hours. Most likely a different adapter connected to the touchstone won't make any significant difference

So does this confirm then that the panel on the back of the Note II is ONLY the NFC antenna not a combined NFC and induction charging panel, as some people are claiming?
I did wonder what the other two connectors were all about, now it seems clear THEY are where the induction coil will attach if you have the official kit.

RS is shipping mainly "made in china boards". When you order from farnell, you have a decent chance to get one with fancy "made in the UK" on it

No, the Raspberry Pi does not come with a power cord just the Raspberry Pi board itself. You can either use a 5v power adapter hooked up to an outlet, use a micro usb to usb through a powered hub, or a battery pack. I would recommend taking a look at this list of known working power supplies http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Working_power_Adapters and known working external battery packs http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPerip...ry_packs_.28with_5.C2.A0V_regulated_output.29.

Yeah I would like to know also what the benefit of getting the official Samsung dock versus a generic. And does anyone know how future proof this is? like will it work with the Note 3, 4, etc?

The smart dock has 3 USB ports that'll let you turn the Note 2 into a desktop pc.
Yeah but if you get a blue tooth keyboard and mouse you wouldn't really need the extra ports would you?

Also you can use a hard drive or flash drive to view files or movies on there. Also comes with an extra wall charger($40 value). Plus if you dont want to have to buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse but have many wired keyboards and mice around why not? It'll be cheaper than having to purchase those along with the dock.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Be careful with some older wired mice though. Some people (including me) have noticed that connecting an old wired mouse turns the screen of the Note 2 off (a good thing) but drops the FPS on the monitor/TV significantly.
I am hoping to get my hands on one of the smart docks soon. I have found some on amazon, but the vendors there have the price so jacked up that I figure I am not going to buy from them. The way I see it is if Samsung can sell for $99, why pay $139-$160 for the exact same item. Doesn't make sense at all. Bestbuy is out of stock, and cdw as well, But the cheapest price I have seen is with cdw. Will keep my fingers crossed that one will make itself available within the next few weeks.
Signed,
*Eagerly waiting* - lol
