2 reason to go back to 4.0.4
HDMI overscan is gone. Now all the subtitles inNetflix gets chopped off.
USB mass storage gone. For linux users is not that easy to use MTP
I wish I could go bacj to 4.0.4.
This updates are only to keep software developers busy - No respect for users.

IRX120 is saying that this phone does not support USB on the go. He is offering an alternative to using UOTG. Trying to implement usb host would be a very welcomed feature, however. Joy sticks that use blue tooth to connect to our mobile devices exist as well.

AW: Has Anyone figured out how to use camera remote
You need Android 4.1.2 on GCam and Remote Viewfinder for GC out of the Play Store
Within your camera menu under share you have to enable remote viewfinder and then connect your android device to the cam via wlan and start the remote viewfinder.
And next time, please use the search function of the board.

I am as stated not reffering to samsungs own app I know that inside out and have advised in various thread users on how to make it work
I am in fact referring to camera remote by busy www
I can not find the thread where it was mentioned despite searching from the mobile app but i do remember it only mentioned the app not how to use it hence my new thread

I got it to work a litte. I can't connect via Wi-Fi (but I think that's a NAT problem), I did get my Nexus 7 to connect via bluetooth and it sorta works for a while, but the app on the Camera dies as soon as I remotely take a picture.

As I mentioned in the other thread (I created yesterday), the unreleased beta of the app works much better with the GC.
He is adding video features to it right now and then will re-release it to the store I guess.
You install the same app on both devices and select camera or remote mode on the two devices. (or you use a web browser to control the camera device).
The thread was just a heads up that it has been fixed and will be re-released soon. It works quite well for me.
The author has not given me permission to post the beta here. Maybe send him an email and ask for the beta?
He was very friendly and helpful.

The PPA has the tools and dependencies to support Precise, Quantal and Raring. Add the Ubuntu Touch PPA by adding the following custom source list entry to your /etc/apt/sources.list file.
sudo add-apt-repository ppahablet-team/tools
Then do the following:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install phablet-tools android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot

After flashing, it just felt like I was playing with a display unit rather than a 'developer preview' which was somewhat disappointing. Can't wait for an actual release, this has a lot of potential to be the start of something amazing IMO.

I think this could be incredible, especially with the convergence thing.
But what worries me is that it requires a 32gb sd card, and the N4 only comes in 8 and 16gb versions
I have some questions.
Does monitor mode work on Ubuntu Touch?
How much space is available after installation?
How do I enter a URL in the browser?
Edit: I just found out: pull the url bar from the bottom of the screen. If you drag from the bottom of the screen to the upcoming grey icon ou can close apps etc.
When i tried the preview yesterday i really liked how fast it booted(6 seconds after Google logo) and the clean home screen. Gestures were nice but too sensitive.

Hey all,
I have looked through the thread topics and haven't seen anything that resembles this issue.
My n7 will connect to the PC while in ptp mode but not mtp. I am on rasbeanjelly 4.2.2 with trinity kernel, not sure if that might play in but figured I'd add it. Has this issue come up before and what can be done to rectify it? Thanks.

I had the same issue today. Uninstalling the driver for adb and then plugging in my Nexus 7 seemed to fix it.
Check out WiFi File explorer. It is like a web based file server that runs on your tab.
Makes it so easy to transfer files and helps when doing cross device transfers. Load it up and access it with any browser to upload and download files.
Great for big stuff so you can go about your business while it transfers and it seems much faster then using the cable.
My tab only touches a PC connection once to root.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
Also, if you don't want to keep installing and uninstalling drivers, you could just use the adb push/pull commands. I'd only do this is you're really desperate though, as it can be a pain to use them.

Hi .
Audio via USB on P6800 works only with "USB AUDIO RECORDER PRO" APPS.
Question:
Is there any online radio player that can send audio to USB ? (I mean to 30-pin)
I have updated via Kies to android 4.0.4, kernel 3.0.15
Thanks

I'm talking to connect TAB to DAC to listen internet radio on the go,and there is ONLY "USB AUDIO RECORDER PRO" that sends audio to USB.

because no one knows... i mostly use aux audio cable...

Because the main goal is to take "audio digits" out of USB and process signal out of noise tablet environment.

I flashed custom ROMs countless time on other devices and NEVER EVER seen bugless ROM.
