[Q] [q] gt p1000 imei,baseband unknown? - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please can anyone help me fix my GT P1000, the problems are BaseBand, Network, IMEI, IMEISV Unknown, problem occured when my tab sudddenly shut off because of the battery shutting down at 60%. Ive been reading topics here but i really cant find any solution doing it, i have tried restocking using GB Stock Safe V5 then rooting and following the install guide of the overcome experience but still no luck doing this solution.
What else should i try? Can you please teach me step by step in doing it, i am really new into this. Thanks you in advance.

You didn't say when it broke.
Gb stock save v5 then rooting?
Did it boot gb stock safe v5 correctly with all mobile baseband and IMEI?

Hello Priyana, when i turned on the tab the network, baseband, imei is not there anymore, can not detect simcard too, so i thought the system got corrupted badly and tried restocking. GB stock safe V5 perfectly installed but there is still no baseband, imei, network, it doesnt even detect the sim card. Tab. I followed also the guide/steps installing from GB stock +cwm to cm10 (youtube vio tutorials) thinking that cm 10 would put back the lost imei, baseband, network but still no luck. So i restock again to GB stock.I am from Philippines and i used jpz as modem.bin.

As far as I know, if gb stock safe didn't get your IMEI/baseband back, it might be hardware issue.

Same on gingerbread rom i bought it with( don't remember which one), also tried ics 4.0.4 stunner and rocket roms, same problem.

fixed it by flashing speedmod kernel.
It's a known issue. ICS 4.0.4 Bluetooth doesn't work on custom kernel. But speedmod (since k3-9) and Notecore has fixed it.
if your using speedmod kernel versions prior to k3-9... you can't hold on your BT for a long time..it would just turn off for brief seconds... its a known issue on lower versions of the speedmod kernel... install speedmod k3-9 and higher and your BT will be fine.
i have installed stock GB, then updated to ICS thru kies, everything Stock....still BT doesn't work...
u are saying if i put a custom kernel it will?
is it safe to flash that speedmod over stock kernel?
Nop it should work on stock.. If it doesn't work on stock it won't work on anything

As i know, there is no way how to disable the check if anybody knows how to do that, tell me...
BTW: Why does your IMEI disappears so often? My got lost one time i flashed some crap-rom. I restored the IMEI got never lost again.
I flashed nearly every CM9/10 nightly
I stop restore imei because work with generic, just annoying warning after reboot. If not chance for disable imei warning mb just prevent warning show and automatic close warning window?

My IMEI became invalid too when I flashed to CM10 Rom.
But I restored it back to original IMEI by doing the following:
Flash back to GB
then Flash CM9
then Flash CM10
Now my IMEI was back to normal.
Then above procedure was advised by a JB ROM developer in another forum.
Hope this helps.

Could you tell me the exact steps when you change roms? Does just flashing a new nightly after you restore the imei make it invalid?

Best is to take a nandroid backup of your phone before flashing any ROM. So that you can easily restore the required things or settings
from the backup.
My Device: SGS I9000 16gb
OS: Android
Chipset: Hummingbird 1~1.4 GHz Cortex-A8 PowerVR
Jelly Bean ROM: Slim Bean[4.1.1] v2.1 kernel: Semaphore
Modem: XXJVU

you need to upgrade to WF07, visit Pit Stop or try a solution from My Android Solutions
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card...make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.
I am really sorry but would u please elaborate a bit. Do i need to root. Do i need to flash a custom rom after rooting? What is WF07?

IF you visit PIT STOP. everything has been written there about your model, its a total guide to understand and operate your Korean Model, so do some exploring/reading, will give you better understanding .
The ROM you are using, has been upgraded twice already because it had problems, so WF07 is the current and best ROM for your unit..you don't need root to flash it..you can upgrade automatically by using KIES, If you have little knowledge about odin ...but visit Pit Stop and READ.
The current best custom ROM is GFAN WF07 SP8 for XDA...you can flash that with ODIN directly too

Hey,
Yeah, upgrading even to a 2.3.6 version should solve those probles, but JB is also pretty stable
For starters, if your phone is an I9000, then I think you should be able to flash in any 2.3.6 rom for the I9000 to root... But I'm not sure about this, mine hasn't been branded so someone else might be able to give a bit more info on whether its safe.

Yeah, you should be able to (I don't think it'll cause any problems), and your sim should work fine with an Italian 2.3.6 rom. PM me at some point if you want instructions

Yes should work. Never had 2.2 on my galaxy. Use Odin to flash a new stock firmware. Search for your country so you get your APN settings. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9000&pcode=-1#firmware
Here is a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259240
Or you try it with Samsung Kies

The bandwidth of your JVU must be compatible with the spanish regional networks
