Zooming in/out in Gmail - Nexus 7 General

For some reason I thought it was possible to zoom in and out in the newer versions of Gmail. Am I mistaken? Or is it really possible? If so, can someone tell me how?
Edit: Solved!

Google Talk video chat

I just got my 2.3.4 update and I'm kinda excited about the ability to do the video chat straight from the phone. Unfortunately I do not have many Google savvy friends, much less ones that own a Nexus S. So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about testing this new feature. I was thinking about just getting with some users of this forum and swapping info to check this feature out. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I tried it with my brother on 3G, and it worked smoothly. However he was using Gmail chat on his laptop when we tried this feature. So i'm yet to use it between Nexus to Nexus.
I hear that T-Mobile doesn't allow gtalk video chat on their network, not sure though.
I'm using the Nexus S with T-Mobile and doesn't look like we could use GTalk with 3G yet, only through WiFi.

Google music

Hi , I was messing about with the Google music app tonight and it seems to be letting me upload music and listen to it on my nexus 7.
I stay in the UK and I know it was meant to released soon but thought I would let you guys know it seems available now.
Apologies if this is old news.

What about the music recognition? Does it upload the songs or does it recognize them?

Where did you download the app from, the play store? I am using it with an account set up via a proxy. Wondering if I'll have to do anything once its official in the UK.

Cool thanks, very interesting, can't wait for mine to arrive.
It was on mine out of the box. 16gb from Carphone Warehouse back in September.
I use it through a proxy.

I think you only need the proxy to sign up - that's what I did.
Once you have done that you can login and upload and download from any IP.
Thanks,

Ah yes, thats what I did also and use it on my phone without any problem, works really well and looking forward to having it on the Nexus also.
So the setup still needs to be done via VPN?
But then you can use it as and when you please?
PS - If I signup, can I download Google Music onto another device (HOX) and link both devices? To share music etc
Thanks for info !

Of course you can, I've been using Google Music on both my N7 and phone, but I'm curious how we can transfer our musics and account to UK's server when its opened?

@Savalangh - wondering exactly the same thing, dont think I've even uploaded a 1000 songs yet, but would be a major pain having to sit and re-upload from scratch if we had to. Hopefully we just can continue using as is. :fingers-crossed:
I set up Google Music using a Proxy and have been using it for months.
It recently got released OFFICIALLY in the UK and haven't had any problems i.e. I haven't had to re-upload my music or anything else. I believe it's tied to your google account so regardless of where you're using it, it shouldn't make a difference once you're signed up!

We're sorry. The Google Play music player is currently only available in the United States.
Sorry for it not being more helpful, I went on play.Google.com , logged in on my laptop , went to /music and downloaded music manager , then it allowed me to start uploading my music which then appeared on my nexus 7 and allowed me no stream it. No proxy or vpn.

LTE is a non-issue as this isn't a device sold with LTE support.
The sensors is from flashing the radio/baseband onto 4.2.1 builds. People will have to deal with it, or flash up to 4.2.2
These are not "problems" from Google as they are people causing it to themselves.

From stock software and hardware left in from a sister device. It is not supported by Google and as such is a non-issue.

LTE wasn't approved by the FCC. Therefore, it wasn't mentioned as a feature of the phone.
The reason we could enable LTE was due to an oversight by LG or Google.
This update patches that oversight.
The phone is not suppose to carry LTE in first place. The fact that it works for some people whose carriers are on band 4 is bonus.
And issues, well those come with almost all phones. No point in defending any phone for things like this, but sadly things like this is part of almost any purchase of any thing. Forum like XDA is to get help, so you will get threads here about the problems. You will get far fewer threads which are there to praise the phone on daily basis. If you go to any device section here on XDA, you will get similar threads with issues some of the purchasers face. Those people are here to discuss those. THat sometimes paints the picture that phone is riddled with issues that everyone will face. It is hardly the case.
But if you still want to see enthusiastic threads, go checkout Indian nexus 4 thread That will show you cheerful side of things
Every hardware usually has some weak points, and hardware does break down. With the sheer number of devices sold, there will always be few that break down or are faulty. And you will find large number of those people finding their way here in search of solution. Relax, it is same with almost every phone.

There was a backdoor to get LTE if your provider had LTE on the AWS bands, the N4 was not approved or licensed to be used as an LTE device, it was just a matter of time before Google attempted to disable it. As for the other issues, it's incompatibilities between the new 4.2.2 stuff and 4.2.1 custom ROMs, this is why it's a bad idea to mix and match things like this, they aren't Google issues, all this stuff works just fine on stock 4.2.2 except LTE but that's not supposed to work.
If I understand correctly the radio issues happens only when you flash then on 4.2.1 correct? Then that's your problem, flash the full 4.2.2 and then if it's an issue that's a problem. Anyway I'm on paranoid android 4.2.2 and see no issues.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Oh okay that clears a lot of things up then.
For some reason I thought people were already on 4.2.2 and having the issues didn't know they were still on 4.2.1 trying to flash the radio.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I have a feeling the biggest reason they pushed this 4.2.2 update was to take care of the lte so there wasn't any big lawsuit ...
But then again they really didn't because people can just revert to the baseband before...lol

Wait. So you personally haven't updated and haven't experienced any issues and yet you started a complaint thread?
Seriously?

There is many ways to become less frustrated than creating a new thread.

Tethering and at&t

I'm trying to bypass at&t block on tethering apps in order to use my plan with my tablet as well. I rooted my phone, but every app i downloaded appears to be blocked from accessing my phone connection by at&t (they charge separately for that "honor").
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Ivan

Both posts found in the AT&T One Development forum. Both on first page and one thread apart. Seems to me like you didn't really bother looking or using the search function. Took me less than two minutes to find the threads and post this reply.
Most others will tell you to search on your own, so you might want to get familiar with using the forum and it's capabilities.

HTC One, not compatible?

Hi, I'm going to recieve the chromecast tomorrow and I was looking at the google cast app on the playstore and it says that it's not compatible with my device. Has any HTC One owner experienced this? I don't want to sideload it since I want to get notified of the updates...
Any ideas?
Thanks

I think it's country restricted, not a single reason for the device not to meet the requirements. Well I'm sure I'll find the way around it, I was just hoping for someone to come up with a idea

Yeah country restricted. I set mine up on the One 4.2.2 ARHD 12.
Fwiw you don't need the app for anything. Setup can be done through a web browser. It just makes it easier by automatically connecting to the hotspot and stuff
