Should work on ANY stock or AOSP device as it is just a standard framework modification! This is awesome for devices like ours (Xyboard) that have little ROM development support!
This is NOT my work. I'm just passing on some fantastic development!

Because while the framework and its modules will install across devices whether or not the capability exists to enable is device specific.
ie You can install the multiwindow mod all you want but unless the core capability already exists in your device rom it wont do anything. Editing rom dpi per app does work because the capability 'pieces' already exist.
So I would expect device specific questions to be at least in this forum...
What do I need to do on mz617 xyboard to get this up and going? Multi window support sounds awesome! !

Plzz help me I m not able to use exposed installer bcoz when I m opening it it is saying that u don't have exposed framework installed
I tried installing the latest stable version (using Team EOS on 4.2.2) and I got a fat bootloop. When I clicked "Install/Update" within the app after installing it said it failed because there wasn't any system space left, so I think this may require the BigPart partition the 4.4.4+ ROMs use to run.

Hello dudes, I currently use the MIUI V4 ICS 3.22 rom on my galaxy mini. Yesterday I have installed an app called greenify. I wanted to use the hole features of the app so I have installed the Xposed Framework. But after the restart my device is stopping rebooting at the bootanimation. With the deactivation zip on my sd card I could uninstall the framework. How can I bring the framework to work?
Thanks in advance!

Dude!
Should have read the installation instructions beforehand
The Xposed framework is not compatible with miui
Now the only way out, according to me, is by restoring the file system through a nandroid backup.
I'm sorry but no one can help you in any other way.
Not being rude but dude read the whole post before installing anything in your phone.
Other than that I should however tell you that greenery without xposed also works great. Believe me I have used it and still use it.

Greenery is a standalone app which works great and does exactly what it offers. The xposed framework just empowers it a bit more and makes it a bit more efficient. But even then Its not necessary that you have to install xposed framework for it to work its magic.
And yes to answer your other question you can greenify system apps with it although that's only available in the donate version.
He sure however that you are careful doing that since greenifying the wrong stood can make your system unstable or cause other problems that may interfere in is optimum functioning.

Oh yeah umm.. Most of the startup managers for Android are full of crap... The play store ones atleast coz the Google developers policy doesn't allow such apps which actually work really well in this context... Still don't know how they decide that though. Well whatever if you had xposed then it could have been possible. But even then install gsam battery monitor and note the apps which consume the most system resources. Greenify them if you wish to and then they'll open/consume system resources only when they are active ie you are using them in real time.
That's all I guess

I have recently updated my module http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.sbdp
and users reported new version cannot be downloaded. I am experiencing the same issue.
Already tried to remove the update and re-add it but with no success.
I wonder if it's a general/temporary issue or it has something to do with my APK?
Yes, there are some issues with the download server at the moment. Access to the file system is very, very slow. That seems to be causing issues with synchronizing new files as well. The server admin is already aware of it, but it's night time in the US.
We have set up public status pages so you can see whether it's something on your side or a general issue:
Repository (website and module index)
Download server (APKs)
Still looking for a good place to put these, another sticky thread seems to be too much.
Maybe you could implement to web interface another field for "Alternative download link" in case of server troubles (since there are often ones last time). So developers could add mirror of release.
This has happened 3 times for me in the past 2 weeks... I thought it was just me again.
Glad to see it isn't, not glad to see there isn't a mirror Thankfully I backed up my modules on Titanium Backup. But was looking forward to update, guess I'll wait for 'em.
Ok, it's not just me.
I was trying to update some modules and install 2 new ones. I was thinking my wifi router needed to be reset.
At first I thought the problem was from my phone but after seeing that other person has the same issue, i understoud that its the xposed server.
Thanks for informations and i hope that this problem will be fix in little time..

He's not responding because you're asking in completely the wrong place. He isn't responsible for every Xposed module and even if he was this thread is in no way related to that.
I suggest you find the correct thread for GravityBox and ask in there, but only after you read the first post of the thread and make sure your device is supported by GravityBox.
Edit - Going by your post history, your device isn't supported by GravityBox, so if you're having issues then you'll either have to live with them or uninstall it as the developer won't make adjustments for your device.

This sometimes happens after installing xposed framework without enabling any module on some "special" devices. So it's maybe the case. But it doesn't change anything on the fact it's still off topic ,though.

Hmm. I don't have any experience with any device from Huawei or other Chinese OEMs so wasn't aware of that. It seems they all like to mess with Android's framework etc for little gain from what I read about them.
I thought it only occurred after activating GravityBox though, as they mentioned "gravity".

He probably blocked private messages because of people bombarding him with hundreds of questions. Posting off topic stuff in an unrelated thread isn't the way to go about this.
You're using a device from a Chinese OEM that has modified Android, causing these unexpected results.
Let's get this clear: Is your problem with GravityBox or does it happen with only the Xposed framework and no other modules installed?
If with only Xposed installed, then read the FAQ thread and see if your problem is mentioned in there. If not, you should be OK creating a thread in this section to ask for help.
If your problem is with GravityBox, then either live with it or uninstall it. Those are the only choices.
In either case, we should stop filling this unrelated thread with off topic stuff.

A quick Google search yielded some results saying that device comes with some kind of a theme engine which gets broken after xposed framework installation without any module active. A workaround is to "disable resource hooks" in xposed installer settings but many modules won't work with those hooks disabled. Including GravityBox.

Since I am new to the forum I need to post here but just wanted
to say this is one smooth ROM and does everything I need to enjoy
the Nexus 6 and I thank Mikey for this. I am sure I will have more questions in the future.
As mentioned in the developers thread if we were to use additional
tweaking apps what would be safe to use without breaking the ROM.
I would like to tweak the icons and size of the tiles to start.

If you are brave enough: backup your current device and give it a try.
EDIT: in my opinion it is rather meaningless to ask for Android N support yet, as there are at least seven month until a "final" release will hit the market. If the current Xposed version doesn't work, there will be no need to create some workarounds, as the current version is more or less a preview of a preview and there are lots of code-base changes to be expected. I guess it will take some more month until a valid support will be established.
I'm brave enough. Also foolish, because the only superuser I have been able to achieve won't let me r/w to system, so I can't install modules. And even if I could, odds are that all but the simplest modules would fail.
Regardless, it didn't boot.

The new android has many Gravitybox stuff, so I can live without Xposed I think...
so?
Tried last night.
The XPosed SDK23 checks for proper API Level upon installation - and refuses to install if you're different.
TL;DR: If you're not on MM, the MM installer won't work.
I modified the zip script
and removed the api check. The resulting system dies at dex (compiling apps, including systemui). However there are websites claiming the Universal Systemless Xposed Installer will work on Nougat if you first flash Magisk and use the Material Design Xposed Installer (not to be confused with Materialized module) and phh's Superuser apps in place of Official Xposed Installer and SuperSU! I am about to give it a try on a Nexus 6!

Guys... That would never work. If it did, what's the point of SDK versions?
Just like when Marshmallow was released, SDK22 would NOT work whatsoever on 6.0. same if you go back another version using the previous version of Xposed.
Don't try to install it, as it just bricks. That's why the API checker is there.

Sadly those websites are bogus clickbait to generate ad views. (Apparently) I can confirm that flashing Magisk on Android N causes the bootstrap to fail without even flashing Xposed yet. I even tried playing with the install flags. Sorry everyone I'll continue to investigate other solutions.

But honestly, you're just bricking your device by flashing the wrong SDK version. If you want to begin porting it instead of messing with the install script to the Xposed for the wrong version of Android, maybe contact RomRacer. He ported Xposed to 5.0/5.1 before Rovo released an official version, so he can help you out maybe, but you need permission from Rovo to release a working version.
Good luck.

Unfortunately, Android Nougat will be the only Android version that will not support Xposed. This is due to the fact that Nougat is a delicious, but creamy thing, that glues together all command lines when melted.

Bad news for my Nexus 9. So I have to downgrade to Marshmallow. Android w/o Xposed is not impossible for me.
Looking for Xposed on open beta 7
Well I HV got you covered with this simple short Guide
Many people get error / status 1 wile flashing normal Xposed.zip
This method will install magisk and Xposed framework
First download files which are required:
Magisk V9: Click Here
Xposed Installer zip: Click Here
PhhSuper user zip: Click Here
PhhSuper user : Click Here
Xposed installer: Click Here
Twrp Modified: Click Here
Now Flash
1)Modified Twrp
2)Magisk V9
3)SuperSu (Optional)
4)And Xposed Installer zip
5)Reboot ( First reboot will take some time )
Install PhhSuper followed by Xposed installer apk
Done
* Xposed is not fully compatible with Nov Security Patches yet, so some modules would end you up in a bootloop!!
You can though update to latest version of Xposed(System less) via the app itself.
System will reboot twice when you flash SuperSU
Rovo89 has released new Xposed framework version that works with latest beta built v7 of OOS. I've just tried it and it work.
First uninstall few unwanted apps which you don't use if you get error like no space etc..
This new build will not give bootloop. It works with Nov 1 patch!.
!!!!This is a test version risk is all on you don't blame me.!!!

A few steps are missing !
- Flash your favorite kernel on top of this.
- Finally enjoy the best performance and battery life on your phone.
Oops I almost forgot the final step !
- Complain to the kernel developer and ask him to fix:
....the battery drain.
...the slow fingerprint reader

...the random reboots

This post was not required at all IMO. Flashing and using Xposed is totally one's choice and people are totally aware that Xposed means no support from kernel/ROM devs. But why this unrequired bashing?

I totally agree that people have the choice to flash and install whatever they want, this is certainly the main reason why we love android. However many people root, flash Xposed and more recently magisk without understanding the implications. Those are amazing pieces of software, really powerful and I have a huge respect for the developers. However I don't think anyone should flash those without a basic understanding of what they do to the system. (And why it means no support from kernel/ROM devs).
My post was mainly a parody of the current discussions in the forums. Simply, look at this thread, it's supposed to be a guide to help people and make things easier for everyone. Most of the replies should be something like 'thanks it works great', not confused people or with issues (like bootloops for example....)
