If you are on CM10 go to settings-language&input. Press Language. Select Espanol (Espana) or Espanol (Estados Unidas). If you are on stock rooted it cannot be changed. (English language only on Nook Color and Tablet too). Run CM10 on SD card.

Preferably 2.1
Thanks!
Do you mean a Spanish themed ROM or ROM that uses Spanish.
All Android phones support multiple languages. Just go into Settings->Laguage&Keyboard->Select locale
All the core android stuff will change to spanish. However, it will be hit or miss with apps.
I entered, preferences -> Language & keyboard, and only has the English option

Try downloading the app "MoreLocale 2" i use it for italian and russian, but it has a TON of different languages.
As centran said it's either a hit or miss for apps unfortunately.

[Q] Rom with Portuguese (BR) as an option

Is there any Captivate ROM that has Portuguese (PT-BR or PT-PT) as a system language?
I remember that either Perception or Serendipity used to have it at some point.
AnyLocale or MoreLocale 2 work for a bunch of applications, but they don't change the system language, such as the settings menu.
http://freeyourandroid.com/
has instructions to translate any rom to any language.
takes alot of work but completely do-able.

Help with add language pack in OF3 deodexed stock rom

Hello folks, i'm asking some help with adding a language pack in the (master) muniz_ri G900A_OF3_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM (Link).
I read about Kichen and Android SDK, but frankly, i don't know informatics that much.
Maybe, if muniz_ri agreed, i like to share this mod rom (with your help and credits) with people like me that want to use their phones in their mother language.
PS: i already tried morelocale 2, but it doesn't translate the system settings.
Already thankfull for all help.

Have you tried just using Settings > Language and Input and changing the language?

Yes, but I can't find the Portuguese Brazilian language in the installation language chooser (first screen after boot) and in the Settings > Language. This stock ROM has only a few languages. I would like a complete pack of languages as we see in Xtrestolite for an example.
