Hello,
I would like to get a second confirmation. I have flashed .223 ftf on my AT&T TL, and when I tried to tether internet to an iPhone, it would not get dhcp address. Though, if I manually assign an IP on IPhone, I can surf the net.
Does anyone else has the same problem?

When you flashed 223 did you omit baseband?
If not, flash original AT&T firmware, then flash 223 but omit baseband and tethering should work.
Yes, I did exclude basebend when flashing.

Thanks for the confirmation! I just tried tethering on my laptop and it's fine as well. It's probably the problem on iPhone.

I've been looking thru every forum i can find but haven't seen an answer. My question is whether I can tether my phone without having to flash generic T firmware.

Thanks! I was hoping not to get a tethering play from AT&T. I don't really use up all my data (Maybe 1GB tops with tethering) while using my iPhone but since I'm switching over to the Xperia TL I was hoping to do the same.
Is there still no way to bypass the tether block?

lt30at (JB) rooted and wifi tether
Hi guys,
I rooted my lt30at in JB (4.1.2) with the software:
Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v36.zip
I chose the option 4 and follow the instructions. I had to install before the JDK and the android SDK. Additionally check the device have the developer options enabled.
About the WIFI tethering I installed the apk:
wifi_tether_v3_3-beta2.apk
and configure the following settings:
-Device profile:
Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
-Setup method
Netd-Ndc
-Wifi-driver reload
-Routing fix
and now is working
UPDATE: in order to speed up the donwload, do the following:
-Install this app from PLAY
app quarantine
-and freeze this service
tether-entitle-service
after this i got a download speed of 18MB.
Best Regards,

there is already .370 available would also appreciate to see a ftf of .370 because i need to relock my bootloader to install the update with SEUS/PC Companion (SGP311)
Just be informed that ...370 firmware makes tablet reboot when one tries to navigate /system (mounted r/w) in Root Explorer.

This doesn't help.
SGP312 keep rebooting.
The terminal or adb output nothing for "stop ric".
Look @ this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42455143

I've got Polish 370 and BT works fine.
SGP311 + Tapatalk 4
DJ-Tumor: I have a European version of Tablet Z. Originally, it came with .344 firmware which I rooted using some method floating around this forum. Then the update to .370 came. First, I installed OTA RootKeeper as advised by someone and made a backup of the root. Then I simply updated the tablet using the built-in Sony's Software update app.
After reboot, the system was still rooted. I am not sure if root survived the update or RootKeeper did it (I am not really familiar with the application). Nevertheless, I now have .370 rooted system and can verify that Bluetooth works fine (I just tried it and it discovered two BT device).
I have the 16GB model SGP311.
Good for you guys....but I still can´t update (Update impossible it says even though I ONLY ROOTED IT).
But what I wanted and seemingly no one understood... I NEED EUROPEAN FIRMWARE 344.
I have a feeling that it´s the Japan firmware why my tablet has infunctional Bluetooth.
Yesterday i decided to flash and update to .253, but unfortunately i soft-bricked my device. So, i used sus to get it back, and then i flashed a 434.
I rooted the device, and installed CWM. Then i followed the guide to update with root. So i used CWM to flash .253, and then i used flashtool to flash the ftf. Everything works perfectly except my 3g/4g. It just doesnt seem to work!
Any advice?
Thanks!

Hi there... does anyone have the c5306 customization numbers or knows if the c5603 ones work with the c5606?
I have read/search through the forum but i havent been able to find the answer to my 2 questions.
I stumped into this post and hence my 2nd question.
All i want to do is flash the 12.0.A.2.254 kernel on my SP via the build.prop + Companion method, so if anyone has a better way or suggestion i'll be happy to read it, thx
(already rooted my SP)
Oh cmon guys, anyone? Or perhaps an advice in how to get my phone updated if there's no firmware updates available in my country?

So, turns out c5603 firmware DOES work with the c5606, LTE working and all, I haven't seen anything wrong (besides the obvious wrong model showing on the phone info) so far.
Flashed the Deutschland LTE ftf via flashtool.

Also with newly flashed rom, i dont see the LTE symbol on the status bar. It has bars all the time -whether i'm on wifi or LTE. I see some threads talking about adding the APN for my carrier, but would that change the status bar notification? It looks like thats the way the ROM is.
I'm close to reverting back to my bell rom - its a pity its still on 4.1
For any canadian bell users, what ROM are you using that works well???
