Mix between Otterbox and battery case? - Galaxy Note II Accessories

I saw something like this for an iPhone and wondered if they made one for Note 2. Or maybe a battery case with a belt clip?

Can you post a link?

I know what you are talking about. It was made by Mophie. They really only make iphone stuff. Nobody else makes anything similar for the note 2.

Have seen such a thing from China but damn dude your phone would weigh a ton. It would legally triple the weight of the phone.

I checked Mophie page, nothing for Note 2 there, however those cases don't remind me of Otterbox, they don't look very protective. I think I would buy one though.

1- I didn't say they would have any cases for the note 2. Their pretty much an iPhone accessory only company.
2- they make an iPhone 4/4s car that costs $150 and is rugged like an otterbox with a built in external battery. It's either called the survival, survivor, or extreme.

I know exactly what your talking about. They are made by Morphie and I believe this is what your talking about http://www.mophie.com/mophie-juice-pack-PRO-iPhone-4-battery-case-p/2175_jppro-ip4-org.htm. I did also notice that they just released a case for the GS3 http://www.mophie.com/mophie-juice-pack-Galaxy-S-III-battery-case-p/2245_jp-ssg-wht.htm which is actually there 1st case for a non iOS device, however lacks the protection. I actually a Rezound owner right now, however I am upgrading this month tori their the DNA or the Note II. If I do decide to buy my 1st Samsung device, I would buy this http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-samsung-galaxy-note-2-with-battery-door.html battery to go with it.

I would stay away from ROO cases. I had one for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 white and it left two marks on the back of it, where it seemed to have rubbed the finish off.

I like this guy. Deadmau5 pic and demanding genuine leather! I'm hoping for a case from these guys: http://www.vajacases.com/ - Got one for my PlayBook last year and it's awesome.
Shame they got shipped and delivered to the UK first yet there are very few accessories released here yet. Will be a while until we have a genuine leather case with the 'smart' magnetic bit.
that case has been on sale for years. it's so ugly. Giant leather bondage strap holding down your nexus 7? ugly.
I picked up a leather smart case similar to this one at Big Lots for $8.00. High quality material ! They have lots of 7" case options there for a budget price......scrarch resistant screen protectors , stylus pens , bluetooth speakers etc....
BigLots. com serach the left hand side by ELECTRONICS to see their tablet stuff.
I say patience is a virtue. We all know the tablet for what it is. You either like it or you don't. Most of us have already pre--ordered and are waiting for them to arrive right now.
As far as the caes go, I'd rather feel what they're like in my hand. Via pictures of cases online, 10 look great for ipad and other devices, however only 1-2 actually feel and function as nice as they seem to be described and pictured online.(not cheap feeling, or feeling like they'l literally fall apart, lacking features cleverly not pictured, etc.

For me none of the cover/cases on Amazon (I was at the local Best Buy to take a look at 7" stuff) are aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a "padded pouch" off Etsy.com and I'm gonna get a sturdy "case" when one becomes available.

Flygrip

Is anyone planning on getting this for their phone? Does anyone here have the flygrip for the galaxy note 2? It sounds like such an amazing thing to have for the phone but I'm still not convinced it'll be worth the 30 dollars for this. Also curious if it adds much bulk to the phone.
I transferred mine from my N7000 and feels the same. Not much extra bulk given that the device itself is not that small.
I just ordered one actually. Looks like an amazing product that would make the phone so much easier to use the just one hand. I'm thoroughly convinced that it will be helpful. Also, you get free shipping if you use the code QBKing77 at time of checkout saw it from his review video on the flygrip.

Its a regular old TPU case, that is glossy.
Ive had mine for a couple of months and although it does get uncomfortable to hold for more than a few minutes it does allow for one handed use. The stand features also come in very handy when youre trying to read or watch a video while eating or doing something else with your hands. I took it off recently to get a more sleek design and found myself almost dropping my phone a couple of times, so needless to say I put it back on. Also in the beggining it gets some time to get used to, but before you know it it'll become second nature.

Trident Cases

Hey everyone,
Anyone heard anything on if Trident is going to release a case for this? Historically, how long has it taken them after the phone debut to come out with a case?
Trident will be offering the Aegis case which should be available starting mid December.
When they do I'll buying 1

Well of course there is a significantly higher demand for iPhone cases. That being said, they are willing to funnel huge amounts of money towards fabricating cases for apple devices faster. I am willing to bet that more than half of their profit comes from apple cases. Just think about all the money they fund into constructing the design, build quality, durability, all the different pieces, and the entire supply chain for a single line of cases. I bet they barely make a profit on some of these cases. Just think of all the relatively poor selling phones they make cases for like the HTC Status, or all the different versions of the Galaxy S line.
I will be getting a Kraken case if they make one, which I think they will considering they did for the Note and they seem to make a Kraken for a lot of more popular phones.

I think the only issue with that is its probally only xda members pestering them. And it will probally take thousands and thousands of emails to convince them to make one. Now the reason i say its mainly xda members is because the general public normally only knows the cases they see in retaill stores. Otterbox is on everyshelf everywhere. I almost consider otterbox the iphone of cases lol bc thats all most people know and swear if there case is not an otterbox its no good lol. Plus i dont think the note is selling as good as the s3. The s3 was just a overall homerun man and that phone still sellin like crazy. Theres even alot of people on craigslist trading notes for the s3 and cash. Thats why every companys producing cases for the s3. I dont think the note will see that kind of love

As per the Kraken series, Trident Europe usually gets it waaay waaay faster than US (usually the gap is 2months+) . One may say "then order one from Trident Europe," but you'll be surprised that the price is almost twice of that from US.

Note 2 Flip Case - Genuine or fake?

Hey Guys,
I just bought myself a Samsung flip cover, although it looks genuine, im a bit skeptical and would like to know what you guys think based on the photos. Also, the first time i had it on the flip cover wasnt fully sitting on the screen, however, now after a few hours its alright. Moreover, the edge of the flip cover doesnt have that rubber coating that can be seen on the S3 flip cover. I could've bought it from the samsung store but i found it a bit cheaper from this other phone shop. Anyways, ive posted all the photos so hope i get some opinions. Cheers.
Heres an additional photo of the box. Im not sure if it makes any difference but it says that it was manufactured on 2013.03.12 and Model Number : EFC-1J9FWEGSTD

It looks real enough to me. I have the grey version and an orange version from Samsung and both of them are the same as yours including the packaging they came in. There is no rubber thing on the version for the Note II and mine didn't feel like it fit flush either at first but after a few days in it should mold perfectly to it.

Actually i was surprised as to why it wouldn't sit flush on the screen considering i never had this issue with the genuine flip cover for the S3. I bought this for like $17.70 compare that to the $40 price tag from the official samsung store and its a big win. Anyways, thanks alot for your input.

To be honest many fakes aren't actually fake but just defective Samsung products that people take and sell cheap on ebay or Amazon. So if it had an nfc sticker and looks good to you then that price is great.

I stopped using mine. The battery is great but it just weighs down the phone too much and the case is already huge.
It is significant for those of us that use the battery.

I'm not sure everyone will agree with you
For me the weight is a non issue as ive been able to lift a half a pound since i was a baby and would have expected more people to be able to do the same. All the nonsense of thinner and lighter blows my mind
Cant wait till the extra protection gets here. Been waiting on this case for almost 6 months
gNOTE2 rolling in the north
If the regular battery and a case lasts the entire day why would you add the extra weight and potential extra damage if dropped?
With the rugged case I'm sure I'll be using it more with the extra protection as I wasn't impressed with the stock case and it's finish fading.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 4
Thats just it, if you actually use your phone you can drain the battery easily in 4 hours. I have at least 10 apps i can only use while at home after work because they WILL drain the battery rediculously fast. Now on the flip side if its a really busy day at work and i have data and such turned off i can have 90% left when i get home. But thats only if i dont use it.
The dropping it with the extra weight part doesnt concern me as im fairly careful with a $700 device

It seems like they've tiptoed back again on this; at least, I haven't seen it for sale yet, and their website apparently has entirely different dates. This battery is great, but waiting for the rugged case has been an exercise in patience. The Note 3 is getting a rugged case apparently right off the bat, yet we've been sitting with the previous version waiting for just the case itself for months.

I would, but as I'm A: not married, and B: not a lesbian, I don't have a wife. :silly:
Also, I like my Note 2 just fine. About the only thing that interests me in the Note 3 is that the S-Pen works with the buttons. Otherwise, I plan on keeping this phone for another year, with the ZeroLemon battery; it would just be nice to not have to mod a damn case to give it more protection.

Extra weight? It's a few ounces. If you can lift a can of soda I'm assuming you can manage to lift your phone.
The finish isn't fading from my original zl case and I was one of the relatively early adopters.
As for drop protection, my phone survived flying out of my car and didn't get a scratch.

Oh don't worry, very soon he will be rocking 10000 mAh ZL battery for N3, and a rugged case. I have a feeling everybody is going to get their rugged case before Note 2. I was joking before saying it would be funny to have release of N2 rugged case on November 1st to celebrate one year release of Note 2. Right now it's starting to look like a reality lol!!!
Btw, still no rugged case here... Do you guys realize that a first time I mentioned about rugged case (from ZL guys) was probably around early June time? That's 5 months of waiting for something that might... but anyway, I'm not making any judgment based on other comments or s3 pictures. Let's wait and see if I ever going to get it in my hands for review before the actual amazon availability. At this point it doesn't look like anything groundbreaking except for removable backplate to support different battery sizes and modded Defender mold.
It was actually in your first pafe of review in April
