Official Nexus7 Case?

So Google has yet to release the Nexus 7 Case.. but its for sale at Sams Club?
I don't have a Sams Club membership, and I do not plan on support Walmart anymore than my wife already does...
Anyone know of a case, that is similar to the "Official" Nexus 7 case, but it available somewhere I do not need a membership?
I like the small/tight feature of that case. I can not stand a big bulky case that adds to the profile of the device.. I like how I can slip it in my back pocket, and every case I've found in the stores removes that ability.

As far as i know the travel case is for sale but the premium case is not yet released although pictures leaked

Seems dumb to me that they would wait so long to release the case. I'm holding out for an otterbox case.

The case listed on the Google Play store as "coming soon" is what you are referring to as a 'travel case' ... have not seen anything about a premium case.

You can order the travelcase at the asus website. I cant order from the play store so dont know about that. Premiumcase details are here:

I bought a proper Nexus case from Carphone Warehouse earlier today....it's kinda like a grey rubbery case with a flap that covers the screen...

Was looking at he case but decided against it on two things,1 there is no stand to prop up for watching films etc. 2 The cover flaps around so all kinds of crap can get on the screen if left in my bag.Shame as the rest of it and the way it holds the nexus is sweet

Was that the one made by Asus? Most Gamestops carry it, I looked at one today. Wasn't impressed with the feel, I'm sure that would slip out of my hands at some point.

looks like it. i've modded mine by cutting the useless flap off and keeping the back portion of it intact.
the flap if you join two ends up, actually then doubles up as a nice stand to lean the tablet against to watch films.

I also bought mine two days ago.
Only available in blue and pinks; None of the greys where in stock.
The grip is nice and if you flip the cover, the tablet stands in landscape easily and quite stable.
I attach some pictures of mine.

Well, it is quite reliable if the surface is flat.

I still cant believe it doesnt have magnetic wake, but i bet you could mod a magnet on there.

Seidio case info

Well i asked and there is a Seidio case in the works. There is no ETA for it which sucks. Its a active case with a multifunction cover.
I have used their products for a while and im happy with them just hope it comes out soon because i need something.

seidio cases are pretty good but they usually take much longer time to comeout..

I had one of these for my kindle fire and loved it. I'm getting by with a cheap case for my N7 until the Seidio case comes out.

I'll be keeping my eye out for this also. I've had seidio active cases on mine and my wifes nexus s's for over a year and a half now. They are great and have held up well. I like how they feel in the hand with their grippy silicon like material and they give the device great protection.

They are still not shipping but i saw it. The other one should be the same as the one in the picture but with a cover of course.
Debating if i want to go with the regular active case and a screen protector or the other case.
For those that havent used seidio before. Its kinda like a tpu case. Rubber with a hard plastic shell over it.
I have used them on my phones for a while now and im happy with these cases.

I love my surface case for my phone. The material they use is perfect. It is grippy for your fingers yet slippery in you pocket.

A 'Surface' would be smaller, but it looks good. First to market will get my money. Otterbox is going to lose out it seems.

When I asked them they said there aren't current plans to release a Surface case for the N7, just an Active case.

Hi there! Did you end up getting the case? If so, how do you like it? Did you get the model with the cover? If so how bulky does the unit become with the cover attached? (Either on the front or back).
It looks like there's a recessed section on the cover (to make room for the adjustable stand), but I'm worried that it will add too much bulk to the profile of the N7.

Its not out yet unfortunately. I am definitely ordering this when it comes out. I have the Gumdrop case now, which is nice but it does not have the same viewing options like this one. I cant wait for this to come out.

Suppose to be coming out later today, I just called and they said to call back in two hours. Plus they have responded to my facebook post and said blue and black 10/15. Red 10/17.

Just add this to my list of growing cases and money spent.

I do want the blue one in a bad way but I don't think NFC will work through this.

Can't see buying a case where I am more nervous about scratching the case than the phone.

I've used Qmadix for my older Droid line ups and liked them.
I was looking forward to getting one for my Note 2 but the styling was a 180 degree turn.
Having said that, the product did a good job protecting my Droid 3 so the build is most likely there for the product offered for the Note 2. I just don't like the look of them on this go around.

How much is "cheap"? They don't sell them on Amazon, only seems to be directly from the store for $35. Once you get it, can you please post the picture of the front/back and comment on how slippery back of the case is and if there any lip? Really hard to judge by looking at pictures on their website.

Sounds like a good deal, considering it's back to $29 at shopandroid. They also have a very short video of the case. Outer shell looks kind of shiny and front lip hardly noticeable; don't want to jump into any conclusion so let's just wait for your review.
... ps: one of the reviews does state case is very slippery and side grips are not good, as I suspected by looking at it

I tried and it's nice...

I got this one a while back when I got my note and its decent but I dont like the feel of the back. It either feels slick or sticky.

Metal Bumper with Screws

Looking to pick up a metal bumper but I don't want the kind that slide together. I purchased one of those from Ebay a few months ago and I wasn't very happy with it. Looking for something that is a little better quality. The Sweet Armor looked good but it is no longer available in black. Any suggestions?

The draco looks nice, but I can't find any one who has one with our phone for an opinion

Im just worried about recption problems with metal or aluminum bumpers. Had real bad experience with some when I was still on my iphone 5 and it wasnt those cheap bumpers too.

first vid i found of it. the red one looks sick..but like all metal bumpers including this one - you will suffer one bar loss if not more depending on your signal strength in your area.

Yes it does, I just wish it wasn't $90.00.

I have a Thunder Gray Draco sitting in my mailbox. I'll get pics and do a review when I get home. When I had a Sweet Armor case on my S3 there was no signal loss. The Draco for some reason did drop one bar. Call quality and data connection wise, I didn't notice a difference. I'll check it and see what happens tonight.
iPhone 5 has their antennas all along the aluminum sides. When you put a aluminum bumper on top of that, you're doubling the interference.
Samsung phones are some type of polymer / plastic. Not as much interference. That's why Draco has cases that are half aluminum and half plastic for the iPhone. If there were really issues with reception interference, they would have switch the S3 cases to half and half as well.

I think the issue I had with it is that there is a cutout for the antenna that the Asian version of the phone has. If it didn't have that cutout, I would've gotten it.
