[Joke] GameKlip + N10 = Awesomeness :D - Nexus 10 Accessories

I came accross the gameklip site today and laughed at the thought of how ridiculous it would look with the N10 attached to it... Although I highly doubt the clip would even stay attached to the controller due to the size and weight of the N10.
For laughes, imagine this Universal GameKlip Mount + TPU Case
It would essentially look like the image attached.. LOL

i have the gameklip for my S3 and it is awesome.

I have thought about trying this with a Nexus 10... I somehow imagine the clip snapping though lol

That doesn't look too secure lol..

Case or battery door with a kickstand, PLEASE!

Would some enterprising equipment maker PLEASE fabricate either a replacement battery door or a case that has a kickstand incorporated into it???
After being spoiled on my Evo with it integrated, I just do not understand why it doesn't exist for the Streak. The Streak begs for it even more than the Evo would otherwise!
I think every case with a belt clip should double as a kickstand in the mechanism. It is a win-win! I wish I had the capabilities to fab my own stuff sometimes!

The Otterbox defender comes with a belt clip that doubles as a kickstand. Very handy, you can adjust the angle. Of course, it is quite big, however it offers great protection. I dropped the Streak several times already, not a scratch.

I went to the office supply store (Staples here in the USA) and got a couple of cheap business card stands made of clear plastic. They work great as stands!
The Otterbox Defender is a case that has a kickstand. There is a review of all of the Otterbox cases a few threads up with pictures included.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Have the same trouble. I would like to use the full five inches of my streak for my mobile office work and already got a nice bluetooth keyboard, which works quite well. The efforts to find a suitable case solution are greater though. After some research I found two other ones aside from the Otterbox Defender already mentioned in this thread.
First one is the original wallet case sold by dell. As new member I cannot post the link. Pro in my opinion is the still sleek design and build in kickstand, but reviews criticise poor quality and operability despite the high price.
Second one I like most is the solution from Noreve selling a high quality leather case. Again in comparison to the Defender the design is slim and fits easily into a pocket. But a problem with all these fancy looking alternatives seems to be the protection. I already dropped my streak a while ago carrying it in a leather case. It hit the ground with its edge and got some deep abrasions, because the case did not provide enough protection. I hope some companies out there care about customer feedback and design a nice case, which allows save transport. My favourite would be the commuter case with built in kickstand.

LOL! I asked the exact same question in the other Otterbox thread! Guess I'll be able to answer the question myself here in about 4 days...
Great please let us know and take a picture if you can. Cause that would be the deciding factor for me. I wont get it if I cant dock it. DS7 + Dock is great for gaming. Trying to take off the case all the time would suck and not be worth it.

I have the OtterBox case but no docking station. I assume that it plugs into the multi-pin bottom port. The case adds some added thickness around the whole S7 plus a soft rubber bumper which a flap covering the port. The flap opens, hinged on the top or screen side and wraps around the under on the bottom. With the standard OEM cord plugged in, the flap extends past the plug by a good 1/4". Want a picture of cord plugged in?
Did a search for the docking station and found this review page: Docking Station. One of the posts state that they have to remove the OtterBox to dock!

Well that really STINKS! I'm thinking that maybe using the back rest plate for the Streak 5 (it comes with the docking kit) will make it work. That back rest plate is curved to allow for a slightly thicker device to fit into the dock.
If it really can't be made to work then the case will have to go. I won't give up my dock - I like it so much I bought 2 of them....
EDIT: I just dug out the Streak 5 back rest plate and looked it over. It is actually curved the opposite way (compared to what I was thinking) to make it work with a THINNER device - not a thicker one.
Sad to say, but this is NOT looking very promising. I may actually have to make a new back rest plate. The big question will be whether the connector in the docking station will plug far enough into the socket with the case on the unit...
Yea if I have to remove it, then no, I dont need the outterbox. I mean I already hate that I cant dock my zune cause I use the hard case on it (official one) What I wish is if docks made extension cords for it.. Imagine use extension on the dock and you could least get features of dock even if it wasnt sitting in it. That or a block you add on top of the dock to fit with cases.
Anyone know a GOOD decent case that the dock would fit with?
is this the rubber case like the DS5 Otterbox? the one that you had to stretch around, but still held well, or the one that is a complete b*tch to get off once it's on?
I ordered this and got it next day. It's a four piece case. There is a rubber "skin" that goes over the hard shell. It's not the easiest thing to get off, no.
Well, I got my OtterBox today. Nice case - pretty much the ultimate in protection.
BUT unfortunately, there's no way to make it fit into the dock with the case on and since it won't just slip easily out of the case, that's a deal breaker for me.
Unless someone here wants to buy it for what I paid for it I'll be sending it back...
Ok so we know that this doesnt work, sucks, but sadly the dock is a vital thing to have on the counter. Easy to keep in view, hook up to the tv, and works wonders for playing emulators on and easy to see. =)
So we need to figure out which case we can use. Was thinking about a simple cover on it. Rubber maybe ok but I need to find a good one that doesnt "sweat" or make a smell after being on it for ages. Then we need one that fits the dock.
Yeah, I just ordered one of the $5 silicon cases of eBay. We'll see how it works out. I'll keep you posted...
Ordered mine, since I'm not having much luck getting a dock at a decent price figured I might as well since the defender is one of the best case options I've seen for the Streak 7
Yeah, if I didn't have and use the dock I'd definitely keep the OtterBox. I ordered a 2-pack of "military grade film" screen protectors and a silicon skin case from eBay. Combined they were a whopping $10.98
I know its not going to be the same level of protection as the OtterBox, but it should be enough to protect it from day to day knocks, bumps, and bruises. I may also get one of those neoprene slip cases for it...

http://www.all4cellular.com/dell-streak-7-home-audio-video-dock.html 50$ on sale. There are some aftermarket ones too for 25$ but those ONLY charge and sync, no hdmi and so, which honestly, is rather pointless in terms of the streak, since hdmi is nice.

I put a Zagg screen protector on mine.
Got the cheapo skin case the other day. It is just thick enough to keep the Streak from fitting into the docking station.
So I got out a pair of small sharp scissors and enlarged the hole for the bottom connector until it exposed the whole area around the docking connector where it makes contact with the docking station.
That still didn't quite solve the problem. The thickness of the case on the back of the unit where it leans against the clear plexiglass "backstop" moves it forward on the docking station to the point that the connectors don't line up properly.
So the next step was to make a new "backstop" out of thinner plastic. I had an old hotel key card lying around and that worked great. Just the right thickness, and stiffness, yet easy to cut to match the shape of the tabs across the bottom.
Since it is much thinner than the slot in the base I filled in the slot with a little hot glue. That way I can always remove it easily if I choose to since the hot glue doesn't stick that well to hard non-porous surfaces.

[REVIEW][PICS] eBay Generic Black "Leather" 360 Rotating Case (...Another One)

[REVIEW][PICS] eBay Generic Black "Leather" 360 Rotating Case (...Another One)
There are a couple threads for these generic rotating cases, but none that I've seen for this specific one yet, so I thought I'd go ahead and document it for us all. Note that sometimes this might be the one you're getting if the name is remotely close to the thread title, even though the pictures on eBay may look different; those resellers are pretty random with their image swapping and merchandise. I did my best to link to one showing what (appears) to actually be this case since my original link in the Rotating Cases thread has gone down.
This is one of the better looking rotating cases I've seen in that it's got the faux leather look everywhere, and an elastic strap to hold and close it with. It does look similar to the Moko rotating cases, but the Moko has 3 slots to stand it in, more obvious looking stitching on the back, and a higher rotating connector, all likely to help with the portrait standing. There is a price difference too of course.
So, down to business. The problem with this more generic one is that only the back slot works for holding it up in landscape, and neither really work very well in portrait. This may be due to the flatter rotating connector (in contrast with what I mentioned above for the Moko), but is also due to the little strip of material (that wraps around the side of the device when closed) being too floppy, and the device being too top-heavy in portrait. You can flatten out the strip to create friction and it works fairly well that way, but still really only usable in that back slot.
All the cutouts are perfect. POGOs and both mics are accessible, and the speaker is nicely centered (despite the way my pic looks from the angle).
One thing that worried me was the spinning piece of plastic rubbing up against the back of my device so I cut a piece of black boxboard from the packaging the case came in and taped it over the rotating connector, as you can see. This has worked very well, has kept the back of my device pristine, and still looks great. :good:
Not really sure if I'd buy it again, since it certainly doesn't work in portrait as advertised, but I discovered I've never really needed to use it in portrait while standing, and it is decent enough build quality, feeling great in the hands that I won't be buying a different one any time soon. Perhaps worth it at that price ($7 USD) if you know all of this going in.

lol I've bought something like that, I'll post a pic below but my portrait works well with this. The only thing bothering me is the plastic internal case where the n7 is put in... it fits well but it's a little too much weak to hold it...

That's like the Moko case the OP mentioned with the larger bulkier plastic ring for rotation. I have that design for my HTC Flyer 7" tablet. Like you I find it works well enough but I can agree with the OP in that the plastic ring does add quite a bit of bulk. If I wanted that style for my Nexus I'd give the one he found a try.

Nah that's exactly the same as mine I think. Actually the picture on eBay for the one I bought had the dark fabric just like that but the one I received had the lighter fabric as you can see. The pleather backing that attaches to the ring is actually what I was referring to; ours have a horizontally flat line where it connects to the backing, but the Mokos appears to swoop up, assumably making it better for standing the tablet up in portrait.
I actually just switched to this case and I'm loving it:

About to order 9300 battery. Any ideas for case with builtin stand and car mount?

Hi!
I have a suction cup car mount (AC vent ones are no good in my case) but it for sure wont fit the Note with the 9300 battery so I was wondering what you guys suggest. Maybe someone else already has an alternative.
Also, how about a case with a built in kick stand?
I got one for my note really cheap right when I got the Note 2 and got to love it so much that never upgraded to anything "better" so I dont want to give that up...too convenient.
Regards!
PS Even though I do have like 4 extra batteries (2 for free), I am going to Europe so I want to make sure I got plenty of power during the long trips and not having to worry about carrying too many batteries too often..plus I like the monster look.
Then again, I am waiting for Note 3 too so the more I spend now the more money I will be wasting trying to sell all those cheap later one.
There are no cases for the zero lemon battery other than the tpu case it comes with.
People have cut otter box defenders to fit but no kickstand with that.
I use a fly grip on mine and it works perfectly for a kickstand in both portrait and landscape. Before I had the zero lemon the flygrip didn't really work as a kickstand in portrait but the added weight of the battery and I guess differently distributed weight makes it perfect!
We are still waiting to find out from zero lemon what their rugged case will be.....

otterbox like case or any hard cover w belt clip

hey guys so i am loooking for a otterbox like case for example i want a hardcare that can with stand hard fall as i drive from a forklift and work allows me to have headphones in only one so i can hear people yell at me when i run **** over lol, but seriouly i am looking for something like the otterbox with a belt or clip holster (easy access) and access to headphone jack as well whitch the otterbox failed miserably at, i found a few hower they didn't make it for the note only the s3 seems like this phone is lacking cases in this design as well so any and all help would be greatly appreciated as i ran into a dead end.
what's the problem with the otterbox?
the headphone jack is perfectly accessible for me.
Look into Seidio CONVERT Combo, check out main review link in my signature. You get SURFACE for light use and CONVERT shell on top of it for extra protection and one of the best belt clips with lockable latch. Plus, you will get a kick stand, a soft plug/cover for headphone, micro-usb, and camera port (no strain on your cables like Otter), and when you pair up with VITREO tempered glass screen protector - it's ultimate!!! And like a said, at work use the full CONVERT suit. When you get home, strip out CONVERT layer and you got a slim SURFACE protection layer. Based on your requirement, it's the most flexible solution.

Keep in mind, clip is removable and replaceable. Plus I remember Seidio mentioned about bike mount and car mount prototypes that clip right on to a holster when clip is removed.

Oh, no, that clip is a junk. Don't even bother. The case is bulky and will help your N2 survive a nuclear attack, but belt clip is a joke. Survivor case was designed by Griffin for S3 and this N2 version was unofficially scaled up by HK manufacturers for a bigger N2 design. If belt clip is your priority, this case is not for you.

How about looking into an alternative of belt clip pouches? One of my other review threads is up now at the top of the forum with a discussion. That vertical pouch is actually not bad since it's easy to get phone in'n'out with a velcro flap, you can keep it on a belt clip to take it out, or belt loop to keep it permanently, and its vertical and secure. Works with any slim to bulk cases. The ultimate solution would be to have zerolemon rugged case that will support belt clip as well - would be the best of every world to have endurance and protection to the Nth degree. But the only info they released so far is that rugged case will accommodate original slim, double width, or triple-capacity ZL battery, while we are not sure if it will have kickstand or holster yet. A couple more weeks of waiting.
