Hey guys! This is based of the stock 2.3.5 ROM. I have debloated and themed it. Surprisingly I was able to remove over 30 apps from stock yet everything works perfectly still. Their were way too many dumb applications. I modified the status bar with a custom status bar background and pull down as well as a custom battery pack made by myself. I usually add a custom theme chooser developed by me to my ROM's, but the SD card slot broke on my DX rendering development to a halt.
Features:
*add blocking
*major debloating
*custom battery icon
*custom status bar image
*custom status bar pull-down image
* launcher pro (but go launcher or adw seem to work better)
*root browser
*dolphin browser
*latest gapps
*rooted
*MUST HAVE GINGERBREAD KERNEL
*WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
Download here: http://goo.im/devs/powerpoint45/ROM/DroidX/AlienDroidThemedDebloated.zip

Enjoy

Thanks for this, can't believe how smooth my old DX is now!

This Rom is nice, BUT, I wish it would've stated that "If you flash this, It will change your Radio, among other things, To the Milestone." Which is the 4.5.621 update(milestone when rooted with .604). This SUCKS because once on the .621(.604), there is no going back to .605 or earlier.
Just stating that "It's based of the stock 2.3.5 ROM" doesn't actually say it will update the system to .621. I've used Steeldroids 2.3.7 and it didn't update. If something is BASED off of something, doesn't make it actual. It should've been stated that it IS a 2.3.5(.621 or .604) so us that didn't want to be stuck would've known.
OH well, stuck now. Stock sbf .605 is 2.3.3 btw.
So for anyone wondering, This is a nice rom if you don't mind being on the 4.5.621 or .604 milestone.
Thank you Dev for your hard work, just wanted to bring this to you and others attention.

Oh it's no prob man. We all take our phones life in our own hands. Lol. We can still use pretty much all of the 2nd init roms(cm,aokp, miui, and such). Just can't go back to older sbf's.
Thanks again for your work.

You can try the attacthed flashable zip. Remember to do a backup first if you haven't already. Always good practice in-case
something goes wrong. The zip is a fix for devices without the .621 kernal. Let me know if it works for ya.

Consider it enjoyed. LOL.
I don't know if anyone else has tried the Rom yet, and if so, no comments?
Well I liked it and didn't have any problems.

You dont have to have service on your phone to be able to tell what version you are running (just some helpful info)...... And being stuck on 4.5.621 REALLY SUX... since your limited as to what you can run.
@ Beanerman, you can go to .605 but its gonna be the .605 stock-rooted-deodexed, running off the .621 kernel I believe, here is the info if your interested.......
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/g...m-thread-blur-based-roms-those-621-604-a.html

File Download:http://www.mediafire...bujzi0ll619jbtf

keep in mind you will need to use the kernel patch as well as the wifi patch and then you will get your wifi back, also you can use any of those roms you see on the linked page, they are blur based roms but thats all you can run more or less when your trapped on the .621. Just follow the instructions on that page.
Anyways hoped that helped.

Welcome on board. Hope you enjoy your stay
edit: I've been wanting to rock GRH for a while now on my inc, but for some reason it feels like the connection to 3g is whack in CM7. I say feels because I have no hard data to back it up, but the only time I was ever in a 1x area (outside 3g) was on CM7, in a (normally) full-bars 3g area (like my bedroom). Flash to any other inc rom, it's fine. Have you noticed this at all in testing the rom? Theming Re-Engineered right now, so I can't test to see if your rom fixes the issue for me.

That must be it, as I do know that the "3g" icon and signal strength bars turn green when connected, and they didn't ever do so last time I tried it (sundays nightly).
Edit: Found a typo in your a2sd section, should be "adb shell" not "a2db shell". It's the english snob in me lol

Welcome to FactoryROM AOSP Project:Sweet. Due to the fact that the BETA
version of FactoryROM was so successful, I went ahead and compiled some
finishing touches to the ROM, and out popped one smooth, SWEET, product. Now
that I have the base where I want it, I can slowly implement enhancements as
they become available. I have added the GooManager ROM update feature and
plan on releasing updates for FactoryROM every Sunday (or unless needed sooner
for bug fixes). As always, your input in this project is fundamental, and any
suggestions are always welcome.
I am currently looking for product testers.. If you are interested, please PM me
and we will speak in further detail as to what I am looking for.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

On a side note, how is everything running for everyone? Is it smooth enough? I don't have a Nexus S, so I can't test it personally... Keep me updated..

Scott, thank you so much for this build. Glad we all could come together and make this happen. The M would be nowhere without you, Dan, DHacker, P3, Hash, etc.
Going to D/L this now and give it a whirl. Now if I can just sit down with morfic and see if he'll help me design some kernels for the M.

Why don't you pilot a thread to start taking up donations to get him an HD. Seriously bro. I'm sure if you PM Nitro he'll be more than happy to build some roms if you guys get him an HD.
hate to sound like a noob but I'm on safe strap and the 'install' option is greyed out and wont let me install anything after wiping, Its on my SD card any ideas?

You need to create a rom slot and activate a new slot. Safestrap does not allow you to flash the system on the "safe" side. Once you have created a rom slot and activated it you will be able to install.
Another HD user here! Glad to see you nitro, used your rom on my GNex last week lol would enjoy some xt925 love!

If you send a message to multiple people, sends as MMS and organizes it under a thread dedicated to those people instead of splitting into threads for the individual contacts. It's a new feature of stock 4.2, and is currently in some CM ROMs and (I believe) certain Eclipse ROMs as well.
That MMS function was included into the stock ROM as well. Looks like a great function

The dev edition must need a different update binary. Can you try throwing in one from a cm10 build? Just use 7 zip and drop it in. I I can upload a test zip to see if it works.

Great ROM. Only question is, is there a way to modify the soft key layout and color?

The softkey layout and modification is a must for me. I rely on the 5 key setup with menu and search there. The ROM looks awesome otherwise!
Any chance for bootloader locked xt926, i mean will it support safestrap recovery?
Sent from my GT-S6012 using Tapatalk 2
I'd be interested in a "locked bootloader" version as well. I mean, if its based on the stock kernel doesn't that mean it could be modified to be flashed via SafeStrap (sorry, limited knowledge of how this stuff works)? I've got a bootloader unlocked XT926 that I've flashed four or five 4.2.2 ROMs on but I always come back to RageHD because, while it may not have every new bell and whistle, EVERYTHING WORKS! I just picked up a locked bootloader Maxx HD already upgraded to 9.18.79 and I'd be glad to recommend RageHD to anyone else in the same situation if there were a SafeStrap flashable version.
I noticed when I flashed the rom, there was a mention of RageHD Extras being placed on my SD card but I don't see it anywhere on my SD card. Very interested to know what is in it!!

Try it and see if it works. I do not have a locked phone to test on. If not...get me a recovery log so I can make the necessary adjustments to the updater script.

Its on the internal SD. There's nothing in there currently though. I ended up baking it all in Decided however to leave it there for future use

Those asking about soft key mods...have you tried the pie controls? I personally really like them and the hot seat can be moved to the bottom for those who prefer. I may, however, work on some stock navbar mods in future updates
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
I've got a locked bootloader XT926 with SafeStrap installed. I'd be glad to test RageHD on it. Would I use the "normal" process? Activated a slot, flash RageHD to that slot (no need to wipe a new slot but if I reused one I would), reboot? I won't need to flash Gapps separately, right?

I personally don't favor pie much cause I'm such a noob that I barely understand how it works! I'd love a flashable softkey mod that would work with this awesome rom! 5 softkeys and this is my definite DD for the time being!!! Great job on everything else!!
P.S. I opened the wifi kill app and the whole phone crashed!! I thought I more than wifi killed it...lol

Love the rom so far but had the same problem with wifi kill. Didn't know if I did something wrong since I never used it before. Now that I actually know what it is I don't think I really have a need for that but thought you should know that it might be crashing the phone.
Thanks for an awesome rom...

What's the word on flashing this on an XT926 that's rooted but with a locked bootloader? I've got a Maxx HD that's already updated to 9.18.79. Rooted, Safestrap installed. Many of the custom ROMs for the XT926 say you must have an unlocked bootloader to flash them. Is this true of RageHD?

Keep in mind, I do not own this device, but my two testers do, and I rely heavily on them.
Either way, if you have any questions, first, read the FAQ below, then ask away, dev thread or not.
(Work In Progress) FAQ
Do I have to wipe before flashing??
Always wipe, no matter what ROM you are on now, even if it's a previous version of BlakCM.
I flashed a different kernel and now I'm having an issue, what should I do?
Boot to recovery, wipe everything and reflash BlakCM. I'll only provide support for the kernel integrated into BlakCM.
I see 'So and so" posted a fix for this issue or that, is it safe to flash that fix on BlakCM?
Please make a backup before making any modifications or flashing any 'fixes' from ANYONE. You also flash said fix or mod at your own risk..
My data [3G/4G/LTE] doesn't work, but everyone else's seems fine, how do I fix it?
Flash a Stock ROM and update your profile then flash back to BlakCM.
This ROM is for the carrier in the section it is placed in, if you have problems with data and are on a different carrier,
then you must search elsewhere for a fix or ask around to see if someone else knows.
I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
Pull a logcat and post it on to pastebin.com, provide a link in this thread to it.
Be detail specific in your post. I need to know if you have modded or changed anything that may cause the issue.
How do I pull a logcat?
Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
Will you add 'this' feature?
Not likely. If you want a feature added unofficially, you should add the feature yourself and post your unofficial build.
When will this 'issue' be fixed?
NO ETA's.
thanks!

Nightlies need not apply. Based on the source used for this build, this would be closer to 9/24-25. Anyhow, I'll sync and compile another build tonight if data is a problem across the board, otherwise, it will be later this week.

Listview Animations? Yes. I have yet to be able to run it myself to tell you with certainty, but I was also told, that listview was updated and I am unaware as to whether or not it has been updated within this source. Either way, there is Listview. Yes.

The only issue I ran into were some force closes in settings, and cannot install .apk files from my download folder. It simply would not let me press on install. Other than that, the rom is smooth, and I love the black theme.

To side load apps, go into wherever the setting is to toggle installing non-market apps. Toggle it on and off a few times, see if that works. As for FC's, what part of settings FCd exactly?
