Hi Guys;
So basically I have upgraded my Milestone A853 from 2.1 to the CM MOD6, which is great, however the browser and some Froyo apps do not display Arabic properly.
I have been lost for weeks trying various solutions with no success, can anyone help? Please .....
thanks
BTW, the official froyo update has been released today and is available via MSU

Good morning gentlemen
would not bother as how to solve my problem.
I have a Motorola Atrix Mb886 HD AT&T unlocked. With Android 4.0.4 ICS everything worked perfect, but after upgrading to Android 4.1.1 JB via FOTA now all day every so often I get the message "restricted access changed " (my SO is in spanish ("El acceso restringido ha cambiado")) and disconnects all calls and data connections for a few seconds and then reconnect.
I tried installing other ROM's modified by Batakang, Joker 1.0 and even a Razr ROM for HD but I can not solve anything. help please
Hi there, I'm hoping someone can quickly answer what Googling cannot -
Can the AOSP Browser be put on a stock, rooted Bionic running 4.1.2? If so, I'd appreciate some info on this.
Thanks!
Guys,
I'm corporate user and still using stock 4.1.2.
I want to flash custom ROM to stock and for permanent use.
Is there any ROM that work on stock system?

You should definitely research on how to root and know what risks are involved before you try this.
first off, thank you @sd_shadow for your guide on how to root my 5 year old droid 3 as well as the domestic sim unlock procedures.
my question is in regards to upgrading to ice cream sandwich after doing this sim unlock. i noticed in your guide that i had to be in stock gingerbread to add the usa gsm bands to my phone. will upgrading to a cyagen mod ice cream sandwich rom wipe that out? i am using a freedompop sim and it requires ice cream sandwich or higher to run the phone dialer or text messaging app. it would also be handy to run other apps while using the phone on gsm.
basically not quite sure if changing roms modifies that part of the file structure that i needed to modify to be able to use gsm bands.

the band unlock, has two parts;
unlocked radio.img and modified build.prop
Installing a custom rom doesn't effect the radio.img
and custom rom's build.prop should be gsm ready

i tried installing the cyagenmod 10.1 according to this guide...
trueandroid.com/en/update-motorola-droid-3-to-android-4-2-2-jelly-bean-via-cm10-1-how-to
and i can't get the network to connect to the freedompop sim... i did the same thing as the stock rom here...
support.freedompop.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2670/~/activating-your-phone-gsm-sim-card
any ideas?
the freedompop apn settings still work in stock rom. can't get apnb set in cyagenmod 10. i want android 4.0+ functionality on my old phone. the freedompop voice and text and manage account apps require android 4.0+
any reason why i can't get the gsm sim detected in the aftermarket rom?
Bump
Still nothing?
