Guys, I cant seem to access the internal memory of my phone. The external SD CARD is shown, when I go to the emmc folder its empty (in-real its not, and when I access it from the CWM. The emmc (internal storage) has all files shown there)
Please Help :/
The option to use additional storage/internal memory in the settings is also faded/greyed out.
I was on official ICS before, I have heard it has some different partitions but I used nvflash cleaner and then installed cm7.

First, sorry, SORRY, for this question, but after two days searching in xda and google I could'n find the aswer. I also searched on FAQs (note and s2 FAQs) but I could't find it.
/data is only 2gb, and usb storage +-11gb. I know "USB Storage" is /sdcard/ and /external_sd/ is the external microsdcard.
Searching, I found that some people said that "Settings -> Applications -> [app] -> Move to SD" were moving their apps to /sdcard/ (USB Storage), but others said that their apps were moving to EXTERNAL sd.
In my N7000, apps are moved to EXTERNAL sd, not usb storage. I don't like this because SD is slower, so I ask...
-Is there any way to move to USB Storage (internal 11gb partition)?.
-Is there any way to resize /data from 2gb to -+7-8gb? (even if root is needed)?
-Will ICS update change some of this?
-If "Move to SD" move to "USB Storage" in some devices, what firm version are they running?
Sorry again for askin, thank you for reading and thank you so much for answers.
P.S. sorry for my english.
no one can clarify this?
to resize the 2gb you would need to find a way to repartition the device
and most normally go to the sd card ratehr than internal storage as thats how the apps2sd is made, you might have to find a way to hack it to use the internal storage rather than sd card
Maybe try to remove the external sd card and then start moving your apps to sd card? I think this way it'll go to internal since it'll be the only sd card available..

humm... maybe a link in "/sdcard/external_sd/" to something like "/sdcard/fake_sd/"?... would require external memory... but all data would be on the internal, so it should be much faster... humm...

I tryed it, but when I try "Move to SD" from Settings > Applications it says something like "No SD. Insert SD card.".
BTW, ICS will have the same partitions? I read something that it will be like Galaxy Nexus, without parition (and without USB Mass Storage, only MTP)... How is it on SGS2? I'm sure it will be the same...

You want to combine the internal storage and the usb storage into one storage space and the internal and external sd storage become just sd storage?

I would like to do this too, I know it is possible because my Motorola Xoom does this. I was surprised that the ICS update didn't reformat the internal storage to work this way.
The internal "/data" partition stores both application and "user" data and it is done by having a subfolder of the data partition mounted as the "internal sdcard" (/mnt/sdcard) by a special filesystem that strips all user permissions from the files.
That way as far as the OS is concerned all the data is on one unified partition so I could install 20G worth of apps if I liked, yet all the applications that download data or expect music to be on the sdcard have everything in the right place.
The extra sd card shows up as /mnt/external1

I have tried to do this by editing the "vold.fstab" file in the etc folder. However I have not been successful. I can only switch between the internal and external sdcard.
Each time I failed I have to recopy the original vold.fstab file before the Note working again if I am lucky. Most of the time I have to reflash the rom again. You can get some information from the following thread:

Hello guys, I have installed CM 7.2 (stable version) (a couple of times now -_-) the bad thing is that it will not read my internal memory card and the data on it.
When I mount via cwm, it shows both my internal card and the external sd card.
I have tried going to the emmc folder, it is empty when I use file manager of cm7. But when I go to emmc via cwm, there are all the files which are in my internal card.
sorry for bad english, please help
Hi!
Today I flashed my Note from the leak JB to German ICS 4.0.4 and I did a factory reset before the downgrade. I know there's been some issues with some eMMC bugs but I decided to do it anyways. Now for some reason when I go to settings -> Storage it shows that there are 3,50gb of some miscellaneous files even after I format the internal memory. I noticed that when I remove my SD card my phone shows that the phone's internal memory is empty but when the SD card is installed the files on the SD card show up also on my phone's internal memory. What could cause it?

Use this app & see whats exactly those files are..
My internal SD storage has become corrupted and I no longer have read or delete access to many files. I wish I could restore some of those files but at this point, I just want to get access back to my storage.
I can't change permissions, unfortunately, so I will just have to reformat it. The issue is that I know formatting the SD card from the recovery on some phones can cause the phone to brick. Does anyone here know if TWRP's option is safe on these phones?
