ICS on X8?

That´s not the same thing.
android 4.0 requires (AFAIK) ARMv7.
So, someone will have to port it, or you can use ICS theme by AChep

yeh 4.0 probly wont run nice on our hardware, but doesn't stop people porting features of ICS to gingerbread, either way i will be getting a new phone asap, x8 just doesnt cut it anymore.

ya but armv6 processor is enough for ICS and the RAM issue can be solved by using swat right?

Recommended ICS rom

Im sorry if im making a post that already been asked.
I just want to know, if u want to use ICS rom, which one would u like? Im mot comparing or saying which is better, but my friend wanted me to flash ICS on his phone and im kinda been away from the forum for some time...

I use it as my daily rom...:thumbup:

yes miniCM9 is the best , smoother and reliable than gb , but make sure u use swap , ram manager and link2sd ( or wait the next version , swap and a2sdext will be included , i guess it will be released this week , nAa just showed us some screenshots )
NOTE :
this rom is not for stock kernel , u have to unlock bootloader

Cm10 is still in beta and is going to need quite a lot of work and time to get this working on our phones.

while i admit that this is pretty funny, i must say you guys are picking on him. so what he made a mistake. people learn from mistakes, at least i hope so sincerely and i'm sure as hell he won't make the same mistake again.
answer:
there is already a CM10 by Daveee10 in the Original Android Development section. but a lot of things aren't working. so you're better off with an ICS build like MiniCM9. but you can try the JB rom.
in conclusion, yes there is a JB rom but it is far from perfect and it's gonna take ages to make it perfect.

but the rom are from FXP if not mistaken again

Nope. racht was first dev, he was porting Vanilla Eclair, Froyo, GB, Sense ROMs,... FXP (Jerpelea and team) came later, they were porting GB and then they stopped.
I wasn't here from the beginning, but when I came, only racht was developing ROMs.

Yes he left already long back.. he is a hero.. first custom Rom I installed on my phone is Racht's froyo. No custom kernel's at that time.. but still racht Rom's used to b very smooth n stable..
