Does anyone know of a good note 2 pouch? i dont like cases or flip covers.
I have the dark blue oem leather pouch but the pouch actually stained my oem white back cover.

its much worse now and i had to replace it.
I recently bought an ebay pouch (link) but the phone fit loose inside (made for note1?) and the exterior material stick to my jeans so getting the phone in and out of my pocket is difficult.
Im on round two on ebay and bought this pouch hoping it is better than the first one (link2).
Does anyone have first hand experience with other pouches?
Why not get the OEM one?

why not look at pouches for calculators or other PDAs. Maybe something for the really small tablets that are in the 6" range.
I made this simple one out of some leather and braided cord. Took about twenty minutes.

I also prefer pouches as opposed to cases or flip covers. I just ordered the Krusell Luna 4XL from Amazon - it should arrive early next week. I'll let you know when I get it.

all those metal parts scare me that it will scratch the screen, when im holding it outside the pouch or have the phone on top of it. but let me know how it goes. also a lot reviews say the note 2 is a tight fit.

I am using a TPU case with kickstand, and keeping that in a standard PSP neoprene pouch. It fits perfectly.
Krusell Luna 4XL review
So I received the Krusell Luna 4XL today. Fairly straightforward accessory pouch. The leather is very soft to the touch and the interior is lined with a suede-like material. Although reviews on Amazon mention tightness as a problem the phone slips in & out with pretty much the perfect amount of work. The flaps at the top of the case open up enough to get your thumb & index finger into the case comfortably to pull it out.
The metal ring sewn into the back of the case is bent metal rather than welded and the circular carabiner is made of aluminum. If I was inclined to hang this from my waist, I would worry about either metal component failing. Replacing both with a tempered steel split key ring would be perfect.
Other than that, its a great case. I'm a big fan of this style of case and Krusell has done a good job of one that nicely suites the Note II.

What I find most annoying about these cases is that they don't cover the top and bottom bezel, which is actually the part that will get scratched the most easily as it's the parts that have the most friction going into and coming out of your pocket! I can't wait to get some nice OEM cases (like the S3 TPU case that Samsung makes) or Case Mate cases or Seidio! Come on companies! Make your cases

this is exactly what I though when looking at cases. I now have a silicone case which protects all the sides of the phone...
Avoid the metal backs, I bought one for an S3 that I was trying, GPS dropped from seeing 16 Satellites to 3 and I lost 2 bars of cell signal. So if you want a metal back, make sure you can return it just in case.

Rule of thumb: never cover your internal antennas with metal! It messes with the reception and attenuates the sound of voices in phone calls. The iPhone can do it only because its antenna is on the outside. Still, I personally like the plastic. I mean, it doesn't feel as premium as other devices, but it still feels great in hand Love my device. I got a TPU case to protect it. I haven't dropped my phone in the past 4 years, so the case is just against scratches. hehe.

(+) Looks lovely
(+) Matches the grey metallic finish of the Note 2.
(+) Adds little weight
(+) Flap's quality has increased like 10x times as compared to the Note 1's flip cover's flip.
(+) Protects the big screen
(+) You do not need to use screen protector anymore
(+) Replaces back cover of Note 2 and thus adds little to overall thickness.
(+) White Note 2s can enjoy the contrast it produces
(-) Expensive. Should be cheaper.
(-) It is more about adding class and style to your phone rather than adding protection.
I have posted a detailed review on my site too. You can read it here.
Looks good! Cant wait to get mine!!! My note 2 is "naked" at the moment. We'll I have to get an screen protector while I'm waiting for the cover.
Does it add much to the thickness of the note? Love how thin it is atm though
The flap adds ~1mm thickness.
One thing I forgot to mention above - the case is NFC compatible

Quality cover i am really pleased with it.
Does the cover protect the camera lense? In other words, is it thick enough so that when I place the phone on its back, the lense is not touching the table?

I'm using this as my temporary case until my TPU cases come. For me the main purpose of a case is to cover up the chrome border that is bound to get scratched and this case doesn't do that.
I like my flip case as well.. i just ordered a case from samsung site along with a dock as well...
Will also get a case with a kickstand once they are out!
how is the quality of the back cover on this flip case compared to the stock cover? My stock cover is flimsy and squeaks already
thank you for the review, i was thinking about picking one up.

I am now seeing these available on the Samsung US site along with the hard protective cases. Several colors of the hard, gray or light blue in the flip. I ordered a white protective case without issue. (Pending timely arrival of course )
I'm too new to post links, sorry.
MOD EDIT
You can buy these in the US at Sprint. To answer some of your questions:
It replaces the phone back and has the incorporated nfc.
It does not add any protection for the camera lens.
I close mine when talking on the phone to stop getting facial oil on my screen. Always hated that.
Its true it doesnt protect the edges at all, but no one buying this is doing so for edge protection. I have seen diy case modifications that people have done to use this case in conjunction with a bumper case. Just adds to the bulk.
I believe this is an outstanding case for those of us who baby their phones. Its not for the irresponsible note owner as it provides zero shock protection. I use this case in conjunction with a suction cup ball that sticks to the back for a kickstand when needed. Love it, this flip case makes the note look even classier

Instead of Silicon, what about TPU or Plastic like the Protective Cover Samsung has to offer. If we can any of these with a cut-out for the Flip Case that would be awesome and provide the ultimate protection!

Looks like you can get it shipped here for $28.50 and get it in 3-6 business days. Not much cheaper but still cheaper. When you get your eBay cases be sure and post pics and links of the cases that worked best for cutting.

Quick note about screen protector. The cheap hard plastic stuff ($3-$4) works very well on the Note II. It's so cheap you can change it every month

So I was poking around the above site and saw that the price came down to $21.70 total. It was $15.60 for the item and $6.10 for the shipping. For that price, I decided to order one and see what I get. I got a shipping confirmation within a few hours, so we'll see what I get when it gets here.
I came across this idea on another thread somewhere where someone cut a case along the flip side to put on over the flip case. I did it with a cheap rubber case and it worked great. You can mix and match colors.

How did you measure to make such a precise cut? Did you slide the rubber case on over the flip case and use the flap to draw the lines and then make the cut? Did you use an exacto knife?
I put the cases on and drew a line on the bumper case where the flip case started on each side. Then I just used a pair of scissors and cut it straight as I could. I then cut out the section between my cuts with the same scissors. I was not concerned with botching it because it was a cheap bumper case. I never measure because I suck at it. As in, I can cut something off three times and it'll still be too short...

I also ordered some gel cases as opposed to just the silicone ones. They are a lot stiffer. I think a clear gel case with the gray flip case would look really nice.
You could always just use a belt sander to do a perfect smooth cut out.
There are also tons of flip cover cases on ebay that already have solid backs with protective corners.

What case(s) are you using? I have the OEM Samsung Protective Cover+ and the Case-Mate Pop. I ordered the Smartphone Experts leather pouch from AC. I'd post a link, but I don't have enough posts on this board yet. Based on feedback, it should fit with these thinner cases with a tiny bit of break-in. The one criticism I found (depending on your own usage) is that it covers the headphone port, so you can't run a line out of the pouch while your N2 is holstered. I'll let you know how it works out if you don't find something beforehand, although it looks like they're holding up my order due to the iBolt Car Dock delay.
There's this heavy duty pouch that I've been eyeing for a while, but I don't know if it will be able to accommodate my Note 2 with the Seidio Active case on it.

Wow... I can't even quote someone if they have a link in their message!
I would think that even if it fit, the silicone from the Active case would make it difficult to take out / put in on a regular basis... too much friction from the elastic on the sides.

Yeah. That's what I was thinking also.
I'm currently using this one and it does fit with my otterbox commuter: http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Samsung-Otterbox-Commuter-VERTICAL/dp/B00A9Y0C32/ref=pd_sim_cps_2
i think the swivel clip is a little flimsy, but so far it has held up well and having really had a problem with it. i figure that if something goes wrong and it does break then i will likely get the horizontal version of it (after trying warranty).
horizontal version: http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Samsu...795369&sr=8-1&keywords=galaxy+note+2+xxl+case
I have a bugatti slim fit. It did not fit with original samsung protective plus cover. But I managed to open up the case and now it fits perfectly.
It costed 20 euro. But it is made out of real leather.

Let us know if it works. I like this, but after looking at the dimensions, it looks like the length might not work. They state 14.5 cm and when I measure mine with a Seidio Active case it's a little over 15 cm. Right now I'm using a modified Golla Bag that I used previously for my SG3. Cut the sides added some elastic fabric and use it as a wallet and to store my phone on my belt. But my sewing skills are a bit suspect. Should of paid better attention in Home Economics in high school.
I have this one and really like it. Fits note 2 with commuter perfectly.

I have that same pouch except it's black interior. It works well. It does have some wear in it now. One of the belt loops ripped off and the inner lining is coming off. But for $5 can't beat it.
Check your local computer stores for pouches that are made for portable external hardrives. My friend got one for his note 1 and it fits perfect and it's cheap. Fits my note 2 pretty well also.

So far, this pouch has fit:
Phone with Flip Cover
Phone with Zenus Vintage Diary
Phone with Incipio Dual Pro Shine.
Based on my experience, it should work just fine.

Hey everyone, I just got these awesome Bugdroid Circuit & Clone Army cases from Cruzerlite and wanted to share some pictures with you guys. It's been out for Nexus 4 for awhile but finally available for Galaxy Note 2 since last week. Pricing at $12.90 each and Buy 2 Get 1 Free Deal.
Cruzerlite - Clone Army
Cruzerlite - Bugdroid Circuit
As always, Cruzerlite cases provide pretty decent protection, perfect cut-outs for all the ports. Case has thick lips that comes up around the screen so it will cause issues for people with full edge to edge screen protector/film. I have SGP Ultra Crystal and no issues with it.

These look really nice. I'm a huge believer in Cruzerlite. I always have an androidified case on all my devices. Gonna check these out. Thanks for posting the nice pics.
I agree.. Always used their cases and these new ones look great.. Thank you for posting..

Are the lips stretchable? Thats what i hate about TPUs the sides, bottom and top are flimsy.

Cruzerlite is actually one of the firm Tpu cases I've tried.. They hold nicely not flimsy at all..

Top and bottom are held pretty firm but the sides does seem easily pulled away. Don't get me wrong it still does hold the device in very secure and sides won't flap around or anything. It's not like bodyglove refined gel case, edges are much more firm and thicker to hold the shape.

uploaded Bugdroid Circuit - Black & Clear. I'm really digging these two colors! These are best and my favorite TPU cases so far
good lookin zen0s, I've been looking at the bugdroid cases and trying to decide on color. I'm a Cruzerlite owner as well. I have the androidified clear on my white gn2 and love it. It's definitely cruzerlite from here on out. Going to grab the buy 2 get 1 while it's still going been eyeing the deal for sine time but can't decide. 2 bugdroids and an army clone or 2 bugdroids and another androidified... choices choices choices.

not real happy with mine at all... i got the white one... and the quality is great but for some reason the design part on the back was made from some matte textured material that will pick up stains way too easy and wont wash off.... typical tpu (and the surrounding part of this case) is almost impossible to get stained and wipes right off if it does. had mine for a week and already mine looks like dirty crap. so if u get one.... dont get a white one. wish i could get that green one to replace mine. cuz i love the andy designs.
