Atrix HD performance - Motorola Atrix HD

I was looking to buy for 3G/Gaming/Call/Apps in performance for a good price and here I have a dilemma which is better One X vs One S vs Atrix HD?

Well the atrix HD has the snapdragon s4 processor which in a lot of people's opinion Is better then the tegra 3 quad core processor. That why I got the atrix Hd. But if you want to play a lot of games from like Gameloft or madfinger, then I would go with the one x because of the 32 gb of onboard storage. 8gb is not enough to play games because in reality you only have 4gb. And the terga 3 isn't that bad.

but One S has better performance than One X like I saw? bcuz I find thsi strange quad core tegra 3<dual core krait

and how much I would offer for a used & unlocked One X/One S/Atrix HD?

Try out all three phones...bet you will pick the Ahd!

$200 for the Atrix hd.
250 for the one s
290 for the one x.
But take into the fact the the Atrix hd is running stock jb with no overlay.

nexus 4

I play a lot of games on my AHD. Use the sdcard swap mods. MC4,Wild Blood,The Dark Knight Rises, etc run without lag on my AHD. I even got some extra effects like rainy effects in The Dark Knight Rises which I think coz it's optimized for Snapdragon chipset.

AHD has low storage for apps and games(5.5 GB) but Nexus 4 has a shared 13 GB for everything you have. I'd prefer Atrix HD if you have loads of songs and videos on your phone.

One S has better performance as it shares the dual core Krait with Atrix HD but has a lower resolution screen to power, and it has no SD slot

Finally a Game that shows what the Adreno 205 can do

did you guys try, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD
holy! i was expecting a botched version, but turned out nothing was left out from the iphone 4 version, all the effects, reflections, sun flares are there and the frame rate is flawless
its all thanks to the xperia play, since we have the same processor, we received a good conversion, i heard some SGS users complaining about theirs
i seriously didn't know our desire HD is capable of such things
This game rocks our gpu. i was bored of asphalt 4 because of the steering and mostly the graphic.

I have GT Racing HD too, great game! Got it along with Nova (awesome!) and GangstarMV (terrible) for £1 each when Gameloft were having a Valentines sale.
I will definitely have to check out Asphalt 5 too though!
Can't wait to see more games coming, worth the €2

[Q] Quadrant / Bionic / 2 core or 1 core ?

I was messing around with Quadrant yesterday and looked at the system info selection after running the app a couple of times. I noticed that Quadrant only recognizes the Droid Bionic as having a single core, does anyone know why that would be.
Cause Quadrant is dumb, and useless, and is only optimized for one core.
That being said, I still try to get higher scores each time....
H obey comb is the only android is which currently recoginizes and uses both cores.
ICS is bringing multicore and multiple thread support.
OMAP4 was chosen on nexus prime because it is the only multiple hread processor on the market.

Interested in keeping this thread alive to see if there is a benchmark program for our Dual Core machines.

I've read Quadrant only recognizes the Xoom's dual core processor at this time. I'm not confident in the source, so feel free to investigate further.

Dual core implementation is a limitation of gingerbread.
Honeycomb is the only android OS that allows apps to use both cores.
ICS is sopose to bring that feature to smartphones.

Aka I have a dual core processor phone that only uses 1 core due to the OS.....awesome. Going to have to research that a bit.

Nova 3?

Has anyone tried nova 3 on incredible s?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Yes I bought it... Due to the advanced graphics in Nova 3, the visuals look scaled down on the IncS... Modern Combat 3 looks way better in my opinion. I think Nova 3 would look best on a dual or quad-core device...

Games work on CM10 that don't run on Sense roms

I mentioned this in the CyanVivo X thread over on the devs ofrum and wondered if anyone else has noticed the same thing and on which apps.
Since moving to CM10 I have found 2 games work on there that have never worked on any Sense roms I have tried. Both Syder Arcade and Waking Mars work perfectly on CM10 and they hadn't worked on either of the Sense roms I had been using recently (ARHD 4 and Blackout 3.2).
So, has anyone else found stuff that will run on CM10 that wouldn't run before?
Yes
Yes similar experience on sense roms, but on CyanVivo X NFS most wanted and Nova 3 are running fine on my INCs, OC'd to 1.5ghz, Performance, Profile App. with very little or no lag. Both these games were unplayable on all the sense roms i tested.
I run subway surfer v1.4.2
I overclocked to 1.5 GHz performance governor bit still there is lag and some drop frames per second when compared to Motorola atrix dual core CPU with 1.0 GHz
It's so smooth like 60 fps on the Motorola!! Why??
When compared to my incS
It looks like **** on my inc S

No it won't crash when over clocked to 1.5 GHz but will crash if overclocked higher than 1.5 GHz
And yes the atrix is dual core
So I will never be able to play subway surfer smoothly on my incredible s?

Yep Atrix is dual core, it has a tegra 2. Although the chipset is crap, it will fly with a good rom.
Maybe try another rom for the framerate issue. If its having problems at higher frequencies, you might want to try increasing the voltages.
Something that will probably increase the performance is GPU overclocking... which none of the current kernels have. There might be one coming that does have this feature (look in my sig)
This mystery kernel is compiled with linaro -o3 optimisation too iirc... more performance
EDIT: just played subway surf and performance is pretty good at 1024MHz. Maybe running at ~15 FPS, would have been higher at a higher clockspeed and GPU OC

See? I can't get high Scores at all with less than 30 fps
The game just lags
Increase voltage? I have never tried that can u explain more, please?
I really hope this new kernel come out asap and I hope it fixes my issues !!
Roms with better frames per second? Better than cm10 jelly bean?? Are there any ??
Maybe u r pointing at a jellybean rom built from source which we don't have ATM... yet

With voltages, I mean at higher freqs you can have more stability by increasing the voltage to the cpu with an app like trickster mod
I've got a feeling we have a hardware limitation here... Maybe try CM7, supercharge it, overclock etc if you really have to play the game... Otherwise get a nexus 7

sense is eating a lot by itself, so here is a result

[Q] can anyone tell me??

Is our processor that bad when compared to Tegra 2 ?:sly:
Because I played subway surfer and I can tell u that my incredible s can't play the game as smooth and fast and responsive as the atrix for example (Tegra 2 device)
I even overclocked my cpu to 1.8 but still there is a drop of frames per second and the game lags like hell
The atrix run the game so smoothly even if it's not clocked at 1 GHz (not over clocked)
I am so disappointed in my device
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Tegra is dual core, ours is single core. Ours is also a year older than the tegra. There's no nothing to be disappointed in because our phone is nearly 2 years old, and our processor 2 and a half years

For games try hunterwu kernels. I think, extreme overclocking (1.8) is bad idea. Our processor can work normaly 1-1.4 GHz.
