How to flash :
Download and put the zip in sdcard.
Reboot to CWM recovery.
Wipe data/factory reset twice.
Wipe dalvik cache.
Install the zip.
Reboot.

Please mention in bold letters that this ROM wont work on S5830. If noobs can flash S5830 roms on S5830i, then they can do the opposite too.

I'm a newbie, and so far all i've done with my S5830i is root it and remove things with TitaniumBackup.
I've heard about "CyanogenMod7" being worked on for our phone, can someone explain what the difference is with this "Retribution Rom"?
What version of Android does it install, the screenshot shows Android Version 2.3.6 which is the same I have on my stock firmware, so what are the differences?
And regardless, thanks for working on it! At least there is some alternative for us i users now.

Otherwise everything else seems fine

[ROM][BETA TEST] Resonance Rom v1b [SCREENSHOTS!]

ATTENTION ALL: I HAVE NO LONGER GOT THE 5830I, SO AS A RESULT ANY AND ALL PROGRESS ON THIS ROM WILL CEASE (for now). I WILL REQUEST THREAD CLOSURE UNTIL I CAN START WORK AGAIN. SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO POST THIS. HAPY ROM HUNTING EVERYONE.

Screenshots will be uploaded, however at the minute my internet is very bad, so just upoading the rom is bad enough
After roughly six or seven days of playing around with multiple roms (both stock and custom) I have decided to make/release my own for XDA.
For the minute this rom is mainly just Themed with a few tweaks here and there, but as development continues I hope to totally revamp the entire look (and maybe even the feel) of the Phone.

Chainfire3D
Domscript v1 by domnic79
15 Toggle & 6 Lock Screens by Alucard1989pl
New Boot Animation Included
A couple new Ringtones/Alarms
Default Font is set to 'Veggie Burger Med'
A few wallpapers
Not much else I'm afraid as of yet
This rom SHOULD would on any baseband, however i have not tested it on every one
Caution: This update should be strictly applied to the S5830i and is not for S5830 model. If you attempt to install this rom on a standard S5830, you are a fool. You have been warned

By now everybody should know how to install a custom rom, but for those who don't follow this guide:
Turn off your phone
Go into recovery mode by holding Home screen button + Power button + Volume up key
OPTIONAL but recommended: Backup your existing rom
Select "wipe data/reset" and complete the action
Select "wipe cache partition" and complete the action
Select "install update from sd" and select the file ResonanceV05b.zip
Reboot your phone
OPTIONAL: Enjoy your new rom

A Rooted Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i
Clockworkmod Recovery or RZrecovery
An open mind
Bugs:
QuickPic decides it will force close upon opening until you reinstall it via a root explorer app.

[RECOVERY] CWM Recovery Touch [P4/P4WIFI/P4TMO/P4VZW] *Read Warning*

Hello Xda,
Here are the Touch recovery build i have build with Koush's recovery builder after a long long long time it finally works!
Only compitable with ICS or Above!

This cwm can cause hard brick i didnt know that because my testers said it was fully working,
This day i will dive into the kernel to solve this problem!

This is absolutely perfect on my Samsung GT-P7510. I hate it when I have to use the volume button all the time. This is a breakthrough man!
What I love in CWM 6 in the system backup of only 14Mb. Now I can run multiple ROMs easily!

I'm very paranoid since losing an OG Tab to the eMMC brick bug, and my 10.1 is susceptible. Is this safe in that regard?

that is not what is being asked.
have you removed MMC_CAP_ERASE from the MMC capabilities (in kernel) before building and have also included BYPASS MMC ERASE to ext4 utils?

have you included the proper property on said devices, for all that are covered here?
no one should be modifying anything in the rom to bypass assert checks if they are to use this specific recovery. this will cause other issues moving forward, if done.

Im not really good in this but my testers said it is fully working no problems and no i havnt removed the mmc things

you must confirm the MMC ERASE things as outlined above or it will hard brick these devices when let's say an operation like cache clear is executed. this is critical.

OMG!
I was n't knowing that it might hard brick the tab if clear cache etc use.
It is serious - pl check immediately & urgently
and if required warn the users!!!:crying:

I think (i'm sure) PAC ROM from P500 working better on our device (but this system , 4.2.2 , need swap). ''Better'' - more smooth and faster ( RootExplorer was open in 4sec , on my CM10 need 7sec.).

On my device PAC ROM and clean CM10.1 works the same Without any tweaks, oc, swap etc it work IMO. very fast

Installation aborted... Whats going on?

The installation works fine. I guess your system size is too small. The system is pretty small though (takes like 157.75mb after installation), so take like 170mb to be sure.
The rom itself is pretty laggy in my eyes, but Im excited to see what will happen to it
btw, camcorder is working (laggy while recording) and the camera is giving artifacts(sometimes)

Is it possible to resize without fastboot mode? because i got a problem with my usb...

I dont think so. Somehow you have to access the android debug bridge. That only works via usb as far as I know.

For this device works good only gingerbread. JB ICS is useless....

How to install.
1.Nandroid!!!! Im not responsible for you not backing up your phone please make a nandroid!!!
2.check step 1 make sure you made a backup
3.Download Rom and Gapps and place on ext sd card
4.reboot into Recovery, Now, backup any important stuff on internal sd, now wipe wipe wipe for clean install (do not wipe your ext sd card)
5.now choose install from recovery and flash this rom then flash Gapps. reboot.
6.let sit for a few min to settle in.
