Hey there...it's a common problem and many users just don't realise when this happened...
Good u noticed it and it happened to me too...
What u should do is keep some of your ram free by ending apps like Facebook, Skype or any instant messenger.....they consume ram and especially when wifi is on
Just go to Settings>Applications>Running Services
I recommend u using a ram/task manager for it....
Also, use the latest version of GingerDX like v029...or switch to a light and fast rom.....GingerDX is too much packed up with features and themes...
Using wifi slows down everything on X8....they even drop the fps of games drastically
If this helped you in any way, please press the thanks button.

If i use stock, alfs for dx or linux dx phones wifi works like 5 mins and then connection error and **** like that... And this is like that with every rom even stock... But if i use nAa or alfs for cm7 wifi works well... So any ideas?
My idea would be, stick with a rom that works
sent from my x8 That will destroy you all
You have problems with all networks, or only with specific one?
If only with specific one, configuring manually the network should solve your problem (personal experience ).
Yes pipi you should use the one that doesnt give you any problem. Trying is always together with Risking. As per my experience with GDX I dont exp any wifi issues.
That happened to me once. Try forgetting network and connect again, worked for me

Hello all, please I have a problem with my phone's WiFi..
I am on Zeus Rom 7.04, my OB connects to the wireless network at work but doesn't browse. I can't load a single Web page, open play store or even do anything on the Internet.
It's also interesting to state that if I use my laptop connected to the same wireless network as a hotspot, my phone connects to the hotspot and browses just fine albeit slowly.
Any help would be appreciated
Your office WiFi might have IP restrictions. I Had the same problem at home ... it turned out to be a Problem with the ROM... however I could connect n browse but some pages wouldn't load ... a clean install fixed it..
PS were u able to browse before when you first flashed zeus or is it a recent issue?

Yes it's a recent issue. I was able to browse normally using Zeus Rom until recently when even if the WiFi connects, it still doesn't load a single page
My issues was the same as well.. I flashed a few tweaks n it stopped after that... a fresh install fixed it....
If u did throw in some tweaks, it could be because of that ... try using another WiFi network apart frm your wrk one n see if u can browse normally... if u can it's not a ROM problem...

My Xperia T disconnects from Wi-fi automatically. One minute it is connected and running fine but suddenly it disconnects and shows out of range. Strangely this happens only on stock or stock based rom. Wi-Fi runs fine when running CM10.1. So i guess its not hardware issue. I would use CM10.1 but its so unreliable. I missed several important calls due to sudden reboot in CM10.1 and in stock I cant use my Wi-Fi properly. It disconnects automatically. I have tried every wifi setting combination but none of them work. I am frustrated because of this. I have treid every firmware from from ICS to latest .145. But nothing is helping. Is there some kind of wifi power saver that i can disable or maybe i can update wifi driver in my xperia T. I am in desperate need of solution. Please help me. :crying:
Tough one... have you gone into Settings, then Power Management? There is "extended standby mode" option on my phone that seems like it would turn the wifi off while the phone is idling.
Also, is this on any wifi connection? Or mainly your home wifi? It would be worth having a look at the website of your router's manufacturer to see if there is a new firmware available for your wireless router.
I would like to suggest trying stock firmwares from other regions but I don't know how safe that is. Is your phone an LT30a? LT30p?
Right now I'm using LT30p_9.1_A.1.141_PL on my LT30a (Bell) and wifi is quite solid.

yes the extended stand by mode is unchecked. This happens on every wifi. I have been to my friend's home to check for it. It did same there. My phone is LT30p. thank you, I will try other firmwares as well.

I need to use my old Xperia X8 only as a wireless access point. Actually I'm using miniCM 10, but there is a known bug with tethering (it will stop working if the screen goes off).
What is a good ROM that will provide a bug-free tethering support? I need my X8 fully working as AP also if the screen is off.
For example is miniCM7 a good choice? What about other ICS or JB roms?
Thank you all

Go to settings , wifi , options ,keep wifi on during sleep , change it to "NEVER" then set the idle time to 5- 15 min (disables if dont be used for 5-15min otherwise will stay connected)
You should be fine now

So it's not a bug but simply a bad setting? This is fine, thank you, I will try.
