[Q] Where are quick settings Cyanogen Mod 4.2.1 - Nexus 7 General

So I just download the latest nightly CM... It seems fast and cool! I like the OTG drive support! But... Where are my pull down settings.... I found the settings for pull down settings inside settings, but theres no setting to get my settings to pull down... I found a changelog somewhere saying it removed that option, and I cant for the life of me figure out what to do... About to switch back to stock rom... Anyone know where they went?

In the status bar If I understand you correctly? Pull down from the right corner almost to get your pull down settings.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app

yeah i focused that too but in latest cm build (3 January) it works pull from the right corner didn't work on previous cm build

I found the "right" power menu doesn't work until g-apps is flashed.

Yeah once I flashed gapps it worked.... Unfortunately it is still pretty buggy....

On my ICS Kingdroid 7.4 ROM I have all the features you are looking for working like a charm. But it's ICS though.
Yeah that's one great rom.
I now use AllianceRom, all its missing is wifi tethering notification bar toggle

Doesn't wifi tether from the play store work.
Wifi tethering works through the settings menu, I'm after the toggle for the notification bar
And unrelated im looking for popup browser with flash player, nobody seems to have ever mentioned it, I can't be the only 1 to think it would be awesome?

I'll thank you now, I've only just seen your post.
I've settled on Alliance Rom beta 1.1, it's only missing hotspot and torch toggles that I care about. Home button torch, volume rocker, snote, erm..... tired cant think haha almost everything I want works
I go away a week on monday for 6 months (no, not prison haha) so I'm kind of hoping come June/July Official JB would have been released and been all dev'd up by then. For the sake of a week I think I'm going to stay on Alliance, feel free to keep adding recommendations though guys. If you come across a Rom that has all 6 listed below add it here, the more the merrier
1. Volume Skip Track,
2. Hotspot, Torch Toggles,
3. Home Button Lockscreen Torch,
4. S Note/Suite by the summer hopefully lol,
5. Resizeable Windows,
6. CRT Effect On/Off without bugs....
Untill next time, Peace out

Usually, the only difference is that they're built by different people. They might have small little local changes, but all in all your not really missing out on flashing on over the other.

Thanks man, i tried it and only difference seems to be the theme, rest looks the same. I have troubles with the inbuilt torch in both cases though. It doesnt want to shut down and keeps turning on.

Vanir - Android 7.1.2
vanir_mako_7.1.071917.zip
First Vanir with Android 7, which finally managed to run me.
This ROM uses the kernel lineage.
In addition, it is very underdeveloped, because it does not work properly debugging, so you can not connect through adb and install applications.
There is also no possibility of a normal apk installation (message: Package installer has stopped).
I checked and I can confirm that the navigation buttons work very well in Vanir ROM, for Nexus 4 with an inactive touch pad at the bottom of the screen.
I can add a ROM to the compatibility list.

Thank you for your attention. My opinion was premature.
I installed ROM again (the same file without re-downloading) and adb works normally.
Installation through
Settings -> Storage -> Explore
also works as it should.
Probably the first installation was damaged.
Unfortunately, I have to retract my opinion regarding the operation of navigation buttons on the inactive bottom of the touch screen.
Previously I tested on my second N4, where the inactive touch screen I have in the middle of the screen.

Thread close
I have no problem with this thread. I suspect a lot of people wouldn't actually notice that CM 10.1 was released especially as the regular CM threads are quite long!
Running CM 10.1 release and it does everything I ask of it. Best feature for me is the customisable quick-settings page. Couple of things I like to have quick access to are screen rotation toggle (I usually have this disabled and then enable it when I specifically need it) and the torch which is uber-useful. You can also pull the quick-settings down without unlocking the phone *and* access it directly simply by pulling down closer to the right hand side of the screen.
My big driver for it was actually bluetooth fixes which aren't in the stock ROM that mean that my car (BMW) won't sync contacts with stock. Again, this works 100% fine in CM 10.1.
Stability, battery etc. are all good. Installation is trivial, but I'd recommend a wipe if coming from stock.
Go for it, I say

Gave the xt925 version a quick go on the atrix hd and everything looked great. The only thing I noticed was the baseband version was different (I'm guessing something with the modem) and so lost LTE on T-Mobile. Went into 4636 settings to make sure LTE/gsm was selected but it only liked edge. Tried reflashing the stock radio and it will didn't change the baseband. Flashed my backup rom and it had the right baseband version and LTE was back. Any idea as to what I need to do to get back LTE?

Most likely you will have to be on KitKat. For lollipop, you need to make changes to the script
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Notifications are on lockscreen with this update ? Thx
Hmm wonder if it works to place the updater script from the fixed 3.8.2 version that can be flashed on Lollipop on this one and then flash. Probably not but I would have no idea. Might try it.
edit: yes successfully flashed and booted on Lollipop bootloader by changing the updater script. If anyone wants it I have attached the updater-script file to the post. Just replace the file in "META-INF/COM/GOOGLE/ANDROID/" with the one in the zip.
Just flashed it and it seems awesome. Note you need to flash gapps as well

No matter I downloaded the official PA minimal package and it seems to work just fine.
Which pa-gapps-minimal package? I`ve tired pico and nano and get forcecloses all the time. Without gapps everything is ok.

Quite stable. Haven't had any bugs to report
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I`m not so impressed with this release personally. The home button does not work sometimes, some icons (for example google + and photos) are the same and when I change the dpi(cause the UI looks to big for our screens) to 400 the back icon on the navigation bar is alot bigger than home and recents app. But I know it`s in Beta state and alot of bugs could be fixed.
But the Deal-braker for me is the buggy home-button that does not work everytime.
It's quite buggy I would say. I have also encountered the home button that does not work. Also the recent button did this to me at one boot. Often the lockscreen does not work and have to reboot. This boot the statusbar can not be pulled down. I can't set system wallpapers on homescreen properly they stretch outside the screen. Seems full of small bugs so I'll happily go back to the 3.8.2 version for the time being.
Also it's a shame they made the navbar white. I really hate it when it's white. And the ROM does not feel as smooth as the other version I used. Tapatalk is choppy as hell in 4.1 where it was very smooth in 3.8.
edit: about the home button not working, I've noticed it works badly when it's set to turn off the screen when holding it. If you have that feature enabled you really have to tap it Quickly to make it work. Turning off that feature and it's working as it should again.

For the icons, turn off flyme icons. Not sure about your home button. Mine is fine

I`ve flashed the rom several times cause of the gapps issue and during each test I had the issue that the home button sometimes doesn`t work or after the 2nd or 3rd press. I didn`t have the issue on any other rom here on xda and clean flashed 4.4 via fastboot before I wiped the partitions and flashed FlymeOS4.
So from my side I couldn`t recommend the rom during this state as a daily driver.

Me either. I've ran into a handful of small bugs in just about an hour. It was a fun test drive though.
However there are some things I prefer from the older version like the vertically scrollable homepages in the lancher and the expanded statusbar that ended with the notifications that gave it a unique look and it felt like you sort of don't leave the app you're in. I also liked the scrolling better in the older version. It had less "friction" and felt smoother (which it also is). And the shortcuts in recents on 3.8 they have removed that in 4.1 unfortunately.
When the bugs has been squashed and the ROM fine tuned it could be awesome but for now I'll pass I enjoy the older stable one as it is now.
Ok, Thanks for your answers
Also, this rom doesn't support 4g
